After 62 years, ok, but we can also assume that the entire drivetrain was also, at the least, rebuilt if not out and out replaced, thanks to Mercedes’ legendary availability of replacement parts.

Unsere Freiwillige Feuerwehr am Ort hatte dieses Fahrzeug als Tragkraftspritzenfahrzeug. Neben dem Unimog Rundhauber mit großem Grill (ex Bundeswehr) war das das beliebteste Fahrzeug.

Tragkraftspritzenfahrzeug. Deswegen liebe ich Deutsch reden. Wir Holländer können auch solche Wörter machen, zwar, auf Deutsch geht's noch besser. Eisenbahnenknotenpunktenhinundherschieber.... die gab es wirklich bei die DB.

You got to love the design and the simplicity 👌🏼. I have a w123 200d as a daily driver and I wouldn’t trade it for something else ever. The old Merc’s will drive for ever with basic maintenance

I owned one of these together with a friend in the mid 80ties. We had built our first camper Van with oven and fridge. Isolated inside and self-made wooden furniture. It was an ambulance Car before and we painted it with Original colour from the Gauloise cigarette Packages. We travelled all around Southern Europe . I guess it was the slowest vehicle I ever owned 😅,. But the most prettiest and coolest 😍. Thanks for showing this one in pretty good shape. Driven to tears, to see it again 👍

we where experienced drivers in the 80.ties when me and a friend buyed it overnight from our boss during a long lasting chistmas Party 🍻🍻🍻. Wer were driving Ambulance Cars and working as paramedics those days. On out first ride , It took us lots of time to find out, how we could set the indicator. The car was built the same year like me , but we have got Spare Parts for reasonable prices in All south European countries, and were able to do most of the repairs ourselves. I Really miss this One a lot.

@@MercedesBenzVans Not so many adventures as this is not my own O319 but the one from the local Museum in South Lower Saxony (germany) where i drive with this beauty O319 for our visitors between the different locations (LKW+BUS Kleinwagen Main). The A7 from Kassel to north i once made extreme fast 50km/h uphill with the throttle at maximum and no passengers than my own. This Bus has the big 55HP Diesel Engine! Imagine whats like having the small gasoline engine installed.... Our museum also has the oldest street-legal car of i think the whole world. Its a Benz Victoria from 1894. S/N: 99

( Turkey, Greece, Italy, France,Spain) Allthoug the car was built the Same year like me 😂
