Just bought mine, wolf gray, red leather interior, so many features for less money then the CAMRY or ACCORD, So far I'm very impressed, I would love to have 290hp, but really Im okay with 191hp.... lol
bro id love to get a GT but the only problem is that its FWD which is annoying cuz I love in a snowy area and I need the awd capability so now Im gonna have to settle for the GT line AWD which isn't bad at all but I could afford the GT which makes me a lil angry
I just got this one! Love it so far. My first quirk with it is that the parking assistant settings don't save after you change it which is a bummer for someone like me who has to back out of a busy driveway and I have to turn it off everytime to avoid it auto breaking and vibrating for me the entire time I'm waiting for it to clear lol
Kia did something odd for the 2025 K5. If you want the highest trim with all the bells and whistles which is the EX. It doesn't come with AWD or an option to add it, and fog lights. The GT line AWD/front wheel drive doesn't come with a 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, rear ac vents, and a Panoramic sunroof is an option. It does have fog lights tho. Smh!
I enjoy my 2022 GT-Line a lot and, TBH, don’t like the changes in the lighting. Not a fan of the “mask of zorro” patterns on the front and back. Like the new all-digital display and infotainment. I don’t know why anyone likes adaptive CC; I don’t want to match the speed of some Sunday camper in front of me. HATE the vehicle braking component of the rear cross traffic alert. It’s a pain.
Really regret not waiting for the GT, dealer didn’t have any GT models yet just GT-Line so I got the GT-line. I feel the engine is underpowered at some points while driving, don’t know maybe if it’s because engine hasn’t been fully broken in ? Currently about to reach 400 miles but I hope it feels better after the break in period if not I’ll def be trading it in for the GT.
I much prefer the interior design and climate controls (physical buttons) in the prior (‘21-‘24) model years. This interior looks like a huge downgrade to me. The digital gauge cluster is not customizable so why did they bother? Its fixed graphic design looks like it came out of the 1980’s to me. Also seeing piano black showing up on the interior door trim where before it was a much nicer fingerprint resistant matte/satin black. Glad I got my 2023 GT-Line new when I had the chance - before these numerous interior changes that are major dealbreakers for me that would’ve pushed this K5 GT-Line out of consideration.
I'm looking at K5's as my #1 choice in the next year or so, but live in CT and worried about their issues getting stolen and broken into, these "kia boys" are apparently a big problem... Any thoughts on this appreciated. Should I be worried to buy one?
No, that defect in the steering column only applies to Kia’s with keyed ignitions. Most Kia’s post 2017 have push button and therefore safe. Some people believe the idiots steeling cars don’t know this and will still rebadge their car so it’s undercover. I did this on my 2017 but mostly because the Korean logo is cool and people don’t know what it is😂
Question! I saw in another video that when you have a destination programmed into your navigation, the gauge cluster will show you the directions in the center. Is that true and if so, can you demo that for us? Thanks!
