Watching this as a crushed Leafs fan, we are all looking for scapegoats about what we did wrong. But nowhere in the discussion does anyone talk about how good your guys were that series. So tight, well-coached, great goaltending and lots of heart. They play a great team game and didn't get enough credit. Nowhere in the Leafs' witch hunt does anyone talk about the fact that Boston was just really, really good and played a great team game. Gratz.
Well, it was a 7 game series for a reason. Leafs won 2 games and pushed it to overtime, like, how closer are you going to get? It's sad that your fanbase will be laughed at, again, when it was such a close series, and you could've easily go against Florida yesterday. It was a good, close series, and I would've cheered for you next round, if you guys made it
I wish more Toronto fans were like you. The disrespect, especially during this series, was truly disgusting to anyone who loves the game of hockey. Very well said & appreciated! 😊👍
Only thing that would've made this game better...well, 2 things...if Jack could've called it (screw you ABC) & if he had been in the locker room afterwards to congratulate them. I miss you already Jack 😔
If you were in his side you'd absolutely love the guy, a team man who introduces rookies into Bruin culture & BTW I'm no fan of Boston but boy do i admire 'em!!
Marchand greets many of his undressed teammates but then goes into the locker room to greet in order. Mat Myers - video coach 1:34 Trent Frederic 1:36 Justin Brazeau 1:37 Jake DeBrusk 1:39 Morgan Geekie 1:41 Charlie Coyle 1:43 James Van Riemsdyk 1:45 Pavel Zacha 1:47 (with some equipment trouble) Pat Maroon 1:53 Jesper Boqvist 1:56 Mason Lohrei 2:00 Charlie McAvoy 2:03 Brandon Carlo (picks him up) 2:10 Kevin Shattenkirk 2:15 Cam Neely (president) 2:16 Hampus Lindholm 2:20 Parker Witherspoon 2:24 John Beecher 2:27 Followed by the dramatic entrance of David Pastrňák 2:31 and Jeremy Swayman 2:39
@@bubblegut148not a chance huh ?? This is hockey not the NBA. Any team can get hot and run the table. Florida was an 8 seed last year and went to the finals. Saying ANY team has not shot is ridiculous.
@@ErikHeimdallr you are so weird commenting on old videos what if I’m not even a Florida fan and I was just commenting on the leaf saying that to the bruin you a hater
@@shortcoursercracing4284 You can't backpeddle from your original comment. Maybe you should just delete it if you can't take being laughed at. Every single person who read it knows what you meant 🙄 Edit: Forgot...You act like the video is years old "you are so weird commenting on an old video". Your comment was a day old my friend. Grow up...I don't care what physical age you are...you need to grow up. Feel free to get some stupid comment in as the last word. I don't care enough to come back 😂
@@shortcoursercracing4284 While you might not be a Florida fan, the point of his comment still stands. You were clearly expecting Florida to destroy Boston
He has a no-movement clause in his contract but if I was him I'd be begging to be traded instead of waiting a year for when Toronto can do it without his approval. Every Toronto fair weather fan is blaming him, & him alone, for losing the series. No one player wins a series & no one player loses it.
I may be wrong, as I don't know Austin Matthews, but in watching the handshake line and in years past, it does not appear as though anyone seems to like him? Some of the other Leaf's players the Bruins said great things and hugged, etc. I could be wrong as I know he was hurt, and maybe the Bruins know he does not like to lose and have anyone bullshitting him in a handshake line, but it just seems to me he is not well-liked; respected he is I am sure for his obvious talent, but not well liked. Marchand on the other hand, many Leaf's players said kind things to him, hugged him, etc., even though everyone in the league and media say he is a jerk on the ice, etc., but you can play a style which he does and still be liked AND respected.
