Wax in moderation for the fun of the gamble is fine. But yes, most of the time it is stupid.

I like to build sets. But, I gotta be honest, it's not even worth buying wax to build sets anymore. You're gonna spend way too much money and not come close to putting together a set - probably not even half a set. You're better off just buying a set or a starter set off someone else and going from there.

Yeah, it's always cheaper to just buy the card you want. The odds of getting the big hit are so improbable. Just read the odds on the box!

Pay 70 dollars, for 10lb to 15lb, lot of cards from shop good will, estate sales, hibid, or garage/yardsales and play the gamble that way. You wont find great 1/1 or 1/10 hits, but most of the time you'll make your money back if you
