Yes, use the door when preheating. Once the oven and pizza stone get up to temp, launch the pizza and don't use the door because you need to turn the pizza every 30 seconds and the oven and stone are already hot enough

Thanks for the comment. It’s always cool to hear from another pizza maker using this oven. I had a second pizza stone at home when I got this oven. I decided to put it in after my 3rd time baking pizzas with just the one stone. I think the extra stone helps just a little for more heat

@@pizzafanclubI did the same today and finally got the bottom of my pizzas cooking nicely. Before this I always ended up with a cooked top and no crispy bottom. Now the bottom is crispy too.
