Unfortunately the TF2 lore was relegated to a comic series. That hasn't officially been cancelled but has taken years and we are still waiting for the finale. My favorite little detail from the lore is the fact it's likely the spy is scouts father given this short and the comics
Spy is confirmed to be scouts father, additionally, we know the script for the final comic issue has been written, so it will come eventually, but it's just not drawn yet.

This is actually the pilot episode for Adult Swim but Valve taking too long to make this pilot and cut off the deal, they uploaded the pilot to youtube instead.

Spy is Scout's biological father. He just stood away from scout for 27 years, and he regretted it. But in the comics, Spy actually confessed to Scout about it. But with the help of a Tom Jones disguise...
I love during the final question scene, you can see on spy's face the "you finally get it" moment when scout gets the confidence to do it himself instead of believing he isn't capable
I'll be honest, seeing people watch these videos has brought back so much joy for me, it really brings me back to a more innocent time in my life. Thank you. Unfortunately- I cannot in good faith reccomend getting into TF2 at the moment, given its having a major problem in regards to player made bots making most official servers nearly unplayable. If you do want to get into TF2, I highly suggest either going in with the preparation to look for a new server if you see aimbots, or to look for community servers. On a much more positive note ; The Scout once used the leg bone of Amelia Earhart to kill a bear, having killed it, and shattered the bone in one swing. At the time, he was also wearing a hot dog costume. The Sniper is also not actually Australian! He was raised in Australia, but born in the sunken country of New Zealand! His father sent him to the surface in a rocket, this rocket also broke the protective dome that protected the entire country.
Those are details that bring joy, and truly make recommending the comics worth it (aside from one character that appeared in jungle inferno trailer that has also so much charm to them), because the comics are just as good as animations quality wise imo.
i feel like the TF2 community is second only to smash bros in terms of casually spoiling major plot points. no point in reading the comics if everything is revealed in youtube comments

If it seems like Soldier has gotten even dumber since his Meet the vid, the comics explained it. In one of them, we are introduced to the town of Teufort, where 2fort is likely located (obviously). All the townsfolk are idiotic and downright absurd in temperament. Later, Miss Pauling states "Why do you think we gave you bottled water when you came here? The water has extreme amounts of lead." Soldier then responds "what bottled water?"

MVM and Jungle inferno i belive is all that remains of the TF2 official trailers. Turbulence is great to start, but personaly i suggest this (in this order) 1. Bolted Bahemoth 2. Burning through space 1 3. Burning through space 2 4. Live and let spy 5. The Red, the Blu, and the ugly
The best part of it, that all themes in that animation are called from character's lines, like when Medic and Engie rushing to Spy, Soldier and Demo goes theme "It hates me si much!" right before Medic actually said that "see? It hates me so much!". Or Scout's training that goes with jazzy theme "Seduce me!" right after Spy's line "Seduce me!"
it was a pilot for adult swim that vavle missed the deadline for 3 times so the show was scrapped but the pilot was used for a big tf2 game update instead

You all should definitely check out the community tf2 SFM vids. Especially a fella by the name of Winglet, his professional work is honestly phenomenal!
I'd recommend 'End Of The Line', made by a community team and used as an official cinematic for one of TF2's updates. It's more along the lines of a silent or voiceless film, but fun nonetheless.
First of all, this wasn't Archimedes - he's stuck inside Scout's chest cavity after Meet the Medic. When you gib Scout in-game, sometimes you can see Archimedes flying off. It was some other of the Medic's pigeons. Second, guys, your audio was super low.
Kind of a really rude tone to take for newbies to the franchise for a fact that not even people who've played the game for hundreds of hours know. Chill bro.
@@gazelle1467 The chance is one in 100. But I don't agree with the OP. Gameplay isn't 100% canon. You can actually get Archimedes as a cosmetic for the Medic, sitting on his shoulder. So when you run around with Archimedes on your shoulder and a Scout is gibbed with the bird flying out of the chest, which Archimedes is the real one? Archimedes keeps appearing in the comics, too. Logically and most likely Medic got his bird out of Scout's chest right after end of Meet the Medic, what you see in the game is just a nod to that moment.

The best thing about Team Fortress 2 is the fact that even when Valve just abandoned his game, the community is still here ! You can find a lot of amazing SFM vidéo on it and everyday new player play the game even if the game is came out 14 years ago !
You guys should _definitely_ watch "The Red, The Blu, And The Ugly", a fan animation by The Winglet. It's really really good, but there are some videos in the series that come before it, so you'd have to watch those first. TF2 is a great game, but the sad part is that now is full of cheaters and Valve do nothing about it, it's a shame, because is a great game that has been top played since the day it come out. Thx for reacting to all of the trailer, was a lot of fun watching u react to it!
the story behind team fortress 2: 2 spiteful and incredibly stupid brothers were heirs to a multi-billion dollar company, named Blutarch and Redmond (red and blue teams). in their complete idiocy, they both believe the future to wealth and energy will come from harnessing gravel. they both build factories right next to each other in the middle of nowhere and both hire mercenaries to kill and sabotage the other's factory so one could have all the gravel to themselves. Intentionally left unknown to the brothers, the true wealth of their father's company came from a mythical element called Australium, which is what powers all of the mercenaries cartoonishly sci-fi weaponry and items. The brothers were left to fight over nothing as a coverup while the father's board of staff (which includes Ms. Pauline) control the company without their knowledge. (you can tell who the board of staff are, because besides one extremely buff Australin who is acting as the current CEO, the board of staff are all wearing purple). one day, the brothers find out they actually have another brother named Gray, who is incredibly smart, evil, and was raised by eagles. he came to take over the company by force using an army of robots
There were plans for a Tf2 show and this was just the pilot on Adult Swim. The issue with it was that Valve was well.... Valve. They took at least 5 years from what I've heard just to produce this one episode.
I would love to get more sadly, A. Valve is horrible about paying attention to things and following up, a lot of their games have 2 at the end with no 3’s in sight (Team fortress 2, Portal 2, Half life 2, Left for dead 2) and the soldier’s voice actor died last year.
theres a lot of tf2 content out there, but if you are interested in how each class works in game, id highly recommend LazyPurple's "How it FEELS" series, where he combines animation with clever dialogue and how each class functions
I suggest you check out Jungle Inferno, Mann vs Machine and The Sound of Medicine, all well animated trailers for a certain update but I mainly recommend Jungle Inferno and Mann vs Machine. Also The End of the Line is a community made short for an official community made update, and it's pretty good, Also just check out The Winglet's channel in general, he's one of the best if not THE best SFM animator in the community
There is a series of comics that accompany the tf2 universe well worth checking out there a really funny series that give great background for all the characters. Definitely look at the Mann vs machine videos first though to get context of the common enemy as you mentioned
Not only did Archimedes survive, but it essentially saved Scout and Ms. Pauline because when it flew out of the bread monster's mouth they realized they won't die if they jump into the bread monster's mouth. Archimedes is the real hero here.
They actually do have a similar thing to what you described as a Co Op mode, it’s called Mann vs Machine, I recommend making a video on the trailers for that mode “Mann vs Machine” and “The Sound of Medicine”
fun fact: spy is scouts father who left. That’s why spy doesn’t exactly like him. But you have to give him credit he really does love scouts mother deeply so you can’t be fully mad at him
I'd recommend every video in The Fedora Chronicles, or at the very least Live and Let Spy & The Red, The Blu, and The Ugly. They're both fantastic and are at least on par with official Valve animations.
There is a coop mode, but I will say I’ve yet to see a custom one using all the bread based accessories to make a bread themed mvm mission. That is missed potential.
Now watch the latest 2 parts of the Fedora Chronicles by the Winglet. The quality of the first 2 isn’t great, but Live and Let Spy and The Red The Blu and The Ugly are amazing.
