Just had my first migraine aura. I’ve had migraines and headaches since I was a kid, but never have experienced any other symptoms, my vision was off, like prisms of light and my peripheral vision was gone in my right eye. That went away and then I noticed I had a hard time reading words, my speech was harder to formulate. Thought I was having a stroke, then I felt the migraine pain, still have pain this morning but no other symptoms aside from grogginess. Thanks for the informative video.
I had an almost identical experience about a month ago other than never having a history migraines in the general sense. I’ve had ocular migraines (about one a year) but never to the point this past event. It was different because of the aura. The aphasia scared me to death. Freaked my husband out and nearly took me to the ER. I honestly thought I was having a stroke. The aphasia lasted about an hour and my ability to speak slowly returned. Then the headache. Good to know this is aunt a precursor to something more serious.
