@@hazeclarke I would pre-suppose that Colt is the Miraculous Universe equivalent of Lockheed Martin or similar. A lot of those sorts of companies were started by one person in the early 20th Century, so if instead of selling out or merging they kept family majority ownership Colt would be a very influential person by this time period. Which mean Felix could make himself a Tank or a mechsuit or something I guess. Hell maybe Amelie isn't actively involved in the company or maybe Colt was just the CEO.. but having Amelie and Felix having a big slice of the entire US and by extension western world & beyond defence industry would be pretty wacky if said industry was technically owned by what is 'at least potentially' a British Princess. +4:58 that is one of the Royal houses ; Windsor Castle incidentally not just some random castle. +5:10 those looks like Thrones behind them. Also they bring up Royalty a lot don't they remember when Joan (Scarlet Fate?) had to answer that trivia question for Marinette about the French Royal succession. +6:39 I do still wonder if this makes any sense to have The Gorilla as a price, but then Amelie does react to the Gorilla as if she's pleased to see him, suggesting she knew him before. (Hmmm Instead of being predictable and shipping Amelie and Nathalie how about shipping Amelie and I.T. Placide?)
btw the episode multiplication (when it talks about felix's wikipedia) is the one that refers to her as "lady amelie", you're definitely right that the whole royalty thing is just a metaphor for them just coming from an aristocratic british family.

Graham De Vanily’s are not royal but noble : “Royalty” was a metaphor to show that they were a rich aristocratic family also the title of “Lady" is given to the daughters of Dukes or Earls in Britain so Mr. Graham De Vanily is a Duke or a Early not a King…The concept of "heirship" in question is about who will be the Duchess or Countess of the estates after that.

As a casual miraculous watcher and not a fan I understood what this back story wanted to tell us, but I always forgot which sister is who, since I don't remember their very similar names and which one is the older and younger one. So I understand how this can be confusing.
Apparently there is going to be a Miraculous World Tibet special that is a prequel to the entire series on how Emilie, Gabriel, and Natalie found the Miraculous. Thomas Astruc hinted that its in the works on Twitter. My bet is that it'll probably come out when Adrien learns the truth about his origins. Maybe it'll be a flashback with Natalie narrating the whole thing from her perspective? 🦚

It is however possible that the graham de vanily family were at least of aristocratic origins. The fairytale motif is used throughout the show. By the way, the story became very bioshock-ish.
While it's nice that we did eventually get an explanation about the Graham De Vanily family, Agrestes, and the peacock miraculous, I'm disappointed that it came more as a 15-30 min play than a more immersive flashback which could have been shown in parts through episodes like FELIX and GABRIEL AGRESTE to have us guessing as the audience and then the final climactic flashback to tie everything together would have been in REPRESENTATION. Plus, the way they told it in REPRESENTATION and then forgot all the revelations that came with it in the finale felt like they were tying up loose ends that they forgot about just for the sake of it. As for Emilie and Amelie being referred to as princesses, I think it's referring more to that instead of actually royalty, the Graham De Vanily family were wealthy or came from generations old wealth that could be tied to an old ancestor of royalty, so they maybe possess some titles of Lords and Ladies. As for Colt Fathom, I would say that he was most likely the son of a business partner of Emilie and Amelie's parents. There was probably an arrangement between the Fathoms and the Vanilys where Emilie was probably supposed to be Colt's original intended but since she ran off with Gabriel, it threw a wrench in the arrangement. Amelie, being the obedient princess took her sister's place and married Colt which signed her up for a nightmare of a life. The fact that Gabriel wanted to put Adrien and Marinette through the same struggles he faced when pursued Emilie by not approving of Marinette and wanting Adrien and Kagami to marry for business benefit, well he just turned his situational circumstances into a generational curse that Adrien had to endure but hopefully Adrien's descendants won't go through the same circumstances.

Nice to see someone noticed all this as I wouldn't shut up about it for a while. I'm starting to think the show intends to cover it up & pretend it never happened but it isn't the 1st time Royal imagery from the UK was used... in Animaestro Marinette's daydream had Buckingham Palace in it. & The Tsuruge family is a real family and would be considered Japanese Aristocracy themselves too. There is also the whole "My Prince" and "Princess" subtext.. (Though Adrien doesn't call Marinette Princess usually in the English Dub the show has alluded to it it indirectly (though more often for Adrien to be honest) & they did leave in that Adrien has Marinette's name down as "Princess" in his Phone too still in the English Dub. That is one of those thing I bet Thomas doesn't even notice like how Chloe is on Marinette's Contacts on bother her Computer and her phone. When Chloe Messaged her once she was surprised to be getting a Message but not that Chloe had her number. I honestly think we will have to wait and see if they will define if Amelie is Heir to the British Throne or not. As something bad would have to happen to her and maybe Felix to put Adrien into a position to be back in the running. Wouldn't it be a "bit silly" to make Marinette Queen of England ? Though it would drive Lila nuts that is for sure.

I hope that they’re actually not royalty because we get to meet them in season six but like having the main character be famous in a model but then his grandparents ARE ROYALTY LIKE?!? Yes I want more Adrian, but like can we be realistic here ☠️ like this show is not realistic at all
i really didn’t enjoy the last 5 episodes of season 5 because i saw the leaked videos of the storyboard because i thought it was fun fiction only to realize it’s real after a while 😢

The only thing I don’t understand about this episode is the fact that Marinette didn’t seem to put it together that Gabe was Hawkmoth? She seemed so surprised in the finale when she saw him detransform in Natalie’s room.😂
Maybe she thought she was just dreaming because when it was all over she woke up on the floor as if she had been asleep. She had to deal with too much stress at once. They dropped off this story to Marinette, but Marinette was already on the verge of crying and breaking down. She was in no condition to process what had just happened. When she was in Nathalie's room and found out the truth, she realized that the dream was not a dream but real.
One thing puzzles me. If Colt died, that means Emilie should too. If she fell into a coma thanks to this capsule, it means that Emilie knew that she would be on life support until Gabe found a cure. So her recordings make no sense.
I assume she made the recordings knowing she was going to die, but before she could die, she fell into a coma and Gabe put her on life support without her knowing
I feel like the writer's choice of going with the sentimonster theory was the laziest way of explaining the relationship between the Graham De Vanily family and the Agreste family
This episode was just weird downright. BTW this video of ours bestie is one that I've watched in a while. I literally was so tired and lazy after Eid passed and Eid break and all that. But I'm doing great now and actually it's my Birthday tomorrow and I'm turning 15 so excited I mean it's gonna be midnight in only 2 hours and I am actually so excited for my birthday but also a little nervous to get one year older Until my little sister (who shares the same Birthday as me and) she's turning 11 this year. And we sisters both love but also sometimes (mostly her though) gets a little annoyed that we being 4 years apart share the same Birthday like it's always so fun. But I'm a little bummed I only got to ask/invite one of my friends over (BTW she's one my oldest friend and also The oldest friend that I still have full connection with) I called on two of my other friends but couldn't catch on to one and the other had her Mid term (1st semester) exam's starting from the 3rd of July so yeah unlucky for me that unlike what I wanted/wished for my Birthday this year to have all my family and friends and closest, dearest people by me to celebrate our (Me and My Sisters Birthdays) but at least she said she'd be the first to wish me and that reminds me of my Best friend she used to wish me one of the first after my family and she moved away plus I don't have her contact anymore and I miss she even came on my 2021's Birthday totally drenched in the rain as it's the Rainy Season and now she's not here. Also my 5-6 years long tutor whom I called Big sister is also away at our village home (I said ours cuz our village home is on the same place we're like neighbors there) but she's away to her in laws cuz she's pregnant and really close to her date of delivery only around 10 or so days away. So anyways I'm so sorry if that was too long bestie I was just feeling emotional (and tired after being tutored after over half an year today) plz hope didn't/don't mind hazy, bestie. I'm so confused by the senti-monster feelings that Felix holds. So, if I understand this right, I think it's emotion. Felix says "goodbye sister". If he feels like all senti-monsters are his family. Why is he trying to date Kagami who he says "is just like him", I'm just so confused by the writing of this.
Q. So, adrien and felix are sentimonster, so how can Emilie and Amilie shown pregnant in the flashback, if they created both of them ? I know you explained it but it's still confusing to me.😅😅 I really feel like they should've just shown the story and it would've made a lot of sense. When I first watched the ep it was already confusing to understand who was who. If a person who is older than the target audience doesn't understand it, how can the younger audience would. Maybe they made the sentis in a way to imitate an actual human. Growth and all. That’s was kinda confusing… I mean maybe they created it to grow just like a human, with the intention to live a human life?
