Morudomunto? I never heard of that monster before thx for making me discover this monster and it's theme and for Nefu Garumudo well i've seen this monster before but i didn't know what the hell it was called and i really like it's theme so thx Dravonista
Moru is pretty badass. He is an Elder that exudes a form of liquid that hardens very quickly forming steel sharp, metal like spikes on the ground. Oh and he has months on his wings. Yeah.
And Nefu, basically is a Egyptian inspired Elder that both controls the earth and sand but also absorbs the power of a strange form of crystal that exists in his area, further powering him up. One cool thing you can do with him is that the crystal that he digs up, and is seen attacked to his tail, can be broke off and if you pass by it/grab it YOU get a power boost instead of him. And in terms of lore, although he is still a pretty mysterious Elder Dragon, like most honestly, it is speculated that he is one of the few Elders that wasn't treated like a slave by the Ancient civilization, quite to contrary in fact, he was supposedly revered as a full on God by them. So yeah, neat stuff surrounding him.
I played explore once, and I had to uninstall it after around two months... That was very fun. Cool monsters, cool new weapon powers, and the Accel Axe was such an amazing weapon. I hope Morudomunto or Nefu Garumudo come to main series games. Both came in two Crossovers (Nefu Garumudo appeared in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, probably was available for West, and Morudomunto appeared in Teppen, a Capcom game available also for West.) and this makes me feel like Capcom is kinda "trusting" Explore. If they keep considering explore one of these two elder dragons would appear in Iceborne, as they would not be very hard to work on (Maybe Morudomunto tho) and they are like, Explore's most loved elder dragons. Maybe if Nefu would come in another game I'd wish its ridiculous crystal buff to be removed. If anyone doesn't know, Nefu Garumudo has a sorta of vacuum in its tail that uses to generate sandstorms and steal Crystals from underground. When Nefu has a crystal, it will increase its power, but if you hit enough the tail you may make the crystal fall or cut the tail (I don't remember correctly lol) and then your hunter will literally put the crystal on its head and increase pretty much the affinity (If I am not wrong. Or maybe just atk). Not only it makes the battle kinda too easy but the crystal in your head is just... Embrassing.
I guess those sharp teeth like things are to help it release what looks like it’s blood for it to control and turn into spikes by maybe scratching its back
It would be nice to see monster's like this in maybe another Portable Monster Hunter game? It'd be nice if the Monster's they create would cross over into other games in the series. Even if it is just a partnership event. They've done it a lot in World, what with Behemoth, and that Leshy thing.
The main series tries to keep itself at least kinda realistic, but since Explore is a spin-off they can do all sorts of things. That's why you don't see Explore monsters in the mainline.
@@CaveTroglodyte Where have you heard that? Capcom have never stated anything like that. All monsters, regardless if they originated in a spin off game or main series, are all designed the same way. Sure, gameplay wise , especially when it comes to spin offs, there is a massive difference between them of course. But lore and Design wise they are all made the same exact way.
@@shadytriceratops But they’re in a non-canon MH game full of ridiculous monsters so if they’re brought into the main series like Hypnocatrice and Lavasioth it’ll be catastrophic Edit: That’ll also make Explore canon somehow? Which it shouldn’t be at all
@@draw2death421 lavasioth, he was a replacement for aknaktor because the poor, poor levaithan neck skeleton was not working, thats why his fight sucks in the new world; rushed. hypnocatrice was from fronteir generation, so an immediate no.
Me encanta como nef galmund esta tan asociado a Egipto y sus dioses en especial con mi favorito anubis y el tema da esa sensación de estar en Egipto Capcom para cuando un monster hunter basado en Egipto con nef galmund y eo garudia
Moru is an Elder that produces constant flows of an oil like substance that hardens into metal hard spikes. Also he has giant mouths on his wings. And Nefu is an Egyptian style Elder that controls the earth, sand and also powers himself up with nearby crystal common in his area. Fun fact: Nefu is said to be one of the few monsters that wasn't actually treated like a slave by the Ancient civilization, quite the opposite in fact, he was revered by them as a God.
@@joseluissilva6027 Sounds extremely powerful and since you mentioned the Ancient Civilization , what if these two monsters are one of those monsters the Ancient Civilization know and kept in secret
iirc there are monsters that actually exists without having a record about their existence and only the Ancient Civilization knew their whereabouts but they got wiped out.
@@one-wingedtengu4103 Ancient civilisation is not canon, The only time its ever been mentioned by capcom was it appearing in an Unused concepts section of a monster hunter encyclopedia alongside Two headed snakes and other weird stuff
Nefu Garumudo doesn't really look like a monster that belongs in the franchise.. It's just a heavily egypt inspired monster with lots of egyptian ideas put together. The pharaoh chin decoration, anubis head and wings like Ra and probably more.. Very unoriginal. Now, of course it was desinged a long time ago and probably not by the main team and it probably won't ever make an appearance again. The desing just has always bothered me lol
Everything is fine imo, except the pharaoh headdress(?) and the chin are a little too much, eo garudia has better design than nefu in terms of Egyptian inspired
It uses the Kush skeleton and monsters that pull heavily from our, real life culture, already exist in MH, Shara is the greatest example of this, Atahl-ka also has plenty of Egyptian references. Point is I dont see how Nefu is "unoriginal". Specially when stuff like Dahrem Morhan( one horned sand whale aka just a copy of Jhen) is considered fine.
@@joseluissilva6027 Yeah but unlike Nefu, Shara and Ahtal-ka have more going on for them. You can't take one glimpse of Shara and say okay this is based on a hindu demon and the 8 paths. If you look at Nefu you don't see a MH monster, you see a walking egyptian reference. I'm well aware that alot of monsters and inspired by religions and such but Nefu is literally just Ra, Anubis and pharaoh put in one, there's not much creativity at display. It's just too much. As for Jhen & Dahren mohran... What's wrong about them? Both have the word "Mohran" in their name which indicates that they're closely relative species just like Yian Kut-ku and Yian Garuga, nothing wrong about that..? Most likely the two shared a common ancestor and simply evolved differently, there's lots of examples of this in both real life and Monster Hunter.
@@Dravonista1 Yeah the Pharaoh headdress and chin are what mainly bothers me about it, it's just too much. There's so many ways to desing an egypt inspired monster in a cool and interesting way like they did with Ahtal-ka. Nefu is just bunch of egyptian things put together which is a shame cause I actually think it looks cool for the most part.
Thraben Innistrad shara seems pretty obvious when it does all of those Hindu like poses with its wing fingers whenever it roars, it’s distinct musical score and also the fact that it’s arena is a literal lotus flower of rocks that slowly opens and blossoms as the fight progresses. It’s very creative but also on the nose which is perfectly fine same with nefu garamudo. Sure they could make him do some Egyptian based pose as well but that seems pretty hard with a kushala skeleton and it would also add more ties to his Egyptian inspiration but apparently that’s a bad thing. Also the mohrans are a very different case from the yians since both yian has a world of difference with their gear and how they fight as well as the ecological niche they serve while dahren mohran is literally just a copy paste
