Just the simple fact that Inagami was based on the concept for, I quote, a "predatory Kirin", is in my opinion, already enough to tell me that he NEEDS to be in the main series.

Inagami is predatory in nature, so it uses its bamboo shoot-shaped tail to lure prey towards it before ambushing its quarry." "In ancient times, Inagami once had wings, but over time it used them less and less, leaving only remnants of them behind. Now gorgeous fur adorns them, giving Inagami its noble appearance. Its claws can leave deep gashes in the ground, causing the earth to shake." "Its scales have high resistances against all sorts of attacks, combining beauty with strength. Inagami's tendons have excellent elasticity, and each fiber in them supports it as it performs its quick, agile attacks." "Inagami's unique ability is that it can ooze a healing substance from its body to cover wounds that it sustains, closing up and hardening its injuries for protection. Not only does it increases its defense, but it also makes its attacks heavier and allows it to use certain moves." "By hardening this substance, Inagami is even capable of creating makeshift wings that allow it to glide for short distances at prey and breathe a wispy projectile at long distances to put them to sleep but pales in comparison to its final ability." "Its tail isn't just a lure for prey but a tool and weapon that it uses to summon bamboo out of the ground. It's unknown how it can do this, but researchers believe that its tail acts as enrichment for bamboo rhizomes, making them grow at an accelerated around it." Now it doesn't allow any humans to enter its territory." "Two girls witnessed the destruction of their village the year that Inagami ended its coexistence with humans." It's time the team starts localizing these kinds of monsters for the main series. They're really damn creative. And besides, you can only introduce "new flying wyvern species #56" so many times before it gets old. We need things like Inagami and Baruragaru to spice it up a bit. Here's hoping Monster Hunter 6 has a lot of variety in it's monster selection. Give me leviathans, snakes, bugs, crabs, spiders, beasts, etc, and I'm still waiting on a true sauropod monster.

And just like that, without even having fought him, Inagami has become my favourite Elder Dragon. I just wish I could actually fight him.

just imagine the inagami theme getting the same treatment as mizutsune’s recent revamp in Rise. those chanting vocals rising with the song’s build up would be perfect
