The current and subsequent governments should endeavor to replan that Umueri community and beyond. Give that area a cosmopolitan city plan that will feature Skyscrapers and interconnected squared road networks and major dual carriage highways that will feature wide service lanes and lawns as attached to a wider dual carriage highways. Stop people from building indiscriminately or building houses close to the roads. Start tree planting and garden like side by side lawns. Build recreational gardens around the beaches where tourists can relax watching a five star beautiful environment that they will always long to revisit. We need men of taste who can upgrade Anambra State.
Anambra airport is very smart and built solid to international standards, I forgive Willie obiano because of this airport. Soludo should do more to market the airport and secure international certification for the airport
The thing about this airport is that its inside bush. The taxis will charge you 15-25k to get to awka,a trip just about 15 minutes from awka. Its crazy. I am from Anambra but i always use Enugu or Asaba.
Stop celebrating mediocrity. The terminal is substandard like a farm warehouse. Nothing to right home about. There are so many things missing in the airport. When a serious governor becomes governor of Anambra state, the governor will knock this build down and build a befitting airport with a world class standard facilities. This airport terminal is an eyesore, compared to the timber and calibre of people using the airport. Anambra should set the pace in Nigeria. The Anambra government should build a world-class facility that will be the envy of other states in Nigeria. We should build the best airport faculties in Nigeria to show others what they are missing by scheming Igbo men from leading Nigeria. This airport should have been used by Obiano to make a statement that Igbo man should not be taken for granted in Nigeria. I know this warehouse will be rebuilt. This airport can not continue to be at Anambra airport.

Oga can you help me ask Soludo why he chose to over look this Airport seeing that there are so many things undone in this airport instead he opened his mouth to promise Aguta people his own local government area that he will construct another airport in Aguta area. This airport and what Soludo is doing in Aguta area which one is more profitable? Soludo left the areas that will generate more money for Ndi Anambra and is building Aguta in the name of building a new city while the existing ones need attention. The crime of those cities is that they are not located in Soludo's area; look at what he is doing in Isuofia; face one one and face two construction....in a place that has nothing to offer; this shows that Soludo has ulterior motive and it's quite unfortunate that many people are not seeing it. This is the reason why I said that if Soludo should have his way he will relocate the state capital to Aguta and also one of my reasons for always commenting against him. Charles Chukwuma Soludo is very very cunning and mischievous fellow very wicked person indeed but like I said before anyone who could not critize his evil activities against other parts of Anambra state now should not open his or her mouth after Soludo has the office to try to tell us how sectional Soludo was. We are the ones dividing ourselves; someone like Soludo is causing division by making himself the governor of his own people. If Obiano had built all the flyovers that he built in Awka in Anambra north or his own local government we will not have those flyovers functioning today in Awka. Awka is our state capital and things like that flyover and the modern bus terminal in ekwulobia should first be seen in Awka, Onitsha and nnewi before Ekwulobia. Soludo is planning to take every good thing that is coming to Ndi Anambra to Ekwulobia and Orumba.

If previous governors did the same maybe Anambra would have gone far in infrastructure.
At least, Southeast have got International airport now and seaport is next in Anambra too so that, they can all be planning to leave Lagos and SW to their promised Israeli land. Are they willing to go back home, time will tell.

Sandy tiles, I called it.This is common to see in Southeast, especially on their roads because they like to see their town showered with red sands. Anambra is endowed with sandy soil, and they produce lots of it. I wonder why they should start bagging down and resale it for profit.
Why won't they use Asaba when the government of Soludo hasn't deemed it fit to make the airport accessible? Without personal cars, can one easily access the airport without Cab Drivers charging you an arm and a leg? Has ANSG added a single block, other than a change of name, since Obiano left office? Soludo hasn't deemed it fit to strategically attract investors who will set up businesses along that airport road so as to make the area bubble with activities which will in turn, create commuter traffic along that axis so that travellers wont have to ripped off because they are going to the airport. After all, if there is an availability of shuttle buses and taxis plying that route, transportation fares will be drastically reduced. Again, what is the connectivity like for those travellers coming from the Obosi axis and environs in terms of convenience - going to Asaba or coming to Umueri? If Asaba seems more convenient, have we bothered finding out the reasons? The Avio Bridges are still lying on the ground after more than 2 years with Soludo's government pretending not to see them. I thought budget provisions were made for that airport in this year's budget cycle? Wonderful times indeed!
