Exploring a School House Full of Monsters || GYLT #1 (Playthrough) 

As someone who used the inhaler quite a bit in their childhood, those things do feel like health packs after a really bad asthma attack.

Going back to what Emily wrote about the other kids’ fake/malicious smiles they gave her since Day One, I’m guessing that’s why most of the monsters’ faces are upside-down. It seems like they’re smiling on the outside, yet there’s still something twisted about it, both figuratively and literally.

The fact it's called gylt and the bullies were taunting her saying what did you do to your cousin, leads me to believe there is some beautiful and tragic foreshadowing

As someone who was horrendously bullied throughout a majority of my life, at one point having my face smashed against a toilet seat, this game is weirdly comforting to me in a way. I’m not sure how to explain it, but I guess it’s because it related a lot to my own feelings.

This game kind of reminds me of that LAIKA film from 2009, Coraline. I always loved Coraline’s atmosphere and aesthetic, so I mean that in the best way possible. I definitely want to see more of this game!

Really love the way this game plays and the monster. It might be a bias but I like designs that look simple at first but it really creative and complex. Thier heads are upside, they look kinda like ragady dolls dipped in ink, they come in different sizes- it’s cool. As for the story I think Sally was a bystander or complicit in Emily’s bullying and that’s why the bully’s at the beginning said “We know what you did!” Maybe them being cousins lead to Sally being bullied even more (the doll that looks like her being all alone in the classroom) and why Emily looks scared to see her.

An inhaler as your health? That's actually a cool way to restore health.

This looks like a fusion of "dark deception" "hello neighbor" and "little nightmares"... AND I LOVE IT. Please continue to post more of this in the future this game is incredible looking truly is "eye candy". However the story is kinda sad as she most likely has asthma because of the inhalers. And being bullied and chased when you have asthma is horrible. Especially while your looking for a cousin. Edit: THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR 200 LIKES OMG

This is actually a cool game with VERY interesting mechanics. also the way you can sneak up behind the monsters and do a quick take down with the flashlight is LEGIT just like Audrey in Dark Revival be able to sneak up behind a lost one and banishing them. I cant wait to see the rest of the playthrough!! :D

Here in the US we don’t have hospital rooms in our schools either. It’s just wheel beds, white sheets, etc in the school nurses office along with stuff for girl hygiene and to cover small cuts and check for fevers, and a place for students meds to be held if they don’t have a doctors note that lets them carry it around if they’re at a school where students are permitted to do that. Edit: back almost 10 months later.

I wonder if the old man is their deceased grandfather and that’s why he’s acting as a sort of guide/guardian for Sally and Emily. Additionally, I’m also getting the feeling that this game is sort of similar to Martha is Dead where (SPOILER) they aren’t truly twin sisters, but Martha having dissociative identity disorder. Here I think Emily either represents Sally’s more gentle and weaker side with Sally coming to essentially save herself, or Emily is an alter to Sally where Sally has to come to terms with how the bullying is affecting her and her true feelings and, hopefully, coming out stronger. Perhaps that’s why the bullies are making fun of Emily’s disappearance, she doesn’t truly exist.

I really like the way they use 3d graphics, but during the cutscenes they use art/drawing type style! very neat!!

I have already added this game to my wishlist. The art style and 3D animations make me nostalgic for the Scooby-Doo game for the Wii. This game looks so good and this looks to be a game I would actually play despite my dislike for stealth. I hope this game gets popular because this looks amazing.

Just for frame of reference, SuperHorrorBro, those are ravens not crows. Here's a simple key to tell the difference, talons and beak orange = crow, talons and beak greyish black = raven. And an extra tidbit, ravens = omen of death, crows = omen of misfortune.

This is a really cool game! It reminds me a lot of Little Misfortune as well as that game, Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow. I love psychological games ❤

My thoughts, given the game's title and how the game makes you feel bad for Sally, is that *Sally* bullied Emily and is atoning for it. Haven't played the game myself, just making a guess on a twist.

Why do I think that the man that disintegrated (35:07 / the ticketmaster for the car) may have been a spirit that's guarding/helping Emily? Maybe her grandfather keeping her safe.

Sigh. My best friend of 17 years was an Emily. An amazing Emily. She passed away. My son got bullied at school for mourning the loss of his aunt. The inhaler idea for healing is interesting

I loved this video. I really hope you continue this series. Small theory, that old man could be a remnant of her grandpa. Maybe she was to young to remember what he looked like and that is why she doesn't recognize him.

I can't help but laugh whenever I see how inhalers are used in movies/games. She needs to find new inhalers lying around, meanwhile I have severe asthma triggered by everything and my inhaler comes with 250 puffs lol.

I really love the semi realistic visual of this game. It's not too realistic but not too cartoony either. I'm okay with the story book like cutscene but I wish the there is a transition between the cutscene to 3d. It's weird that it's just popped but it's a nitpicky.

Theory time: The old man is the grandpa and everything is an ilusion The grandpa died, old man, knows her name. Is as simple as 1×1 But, his custcenes are drawn-ish (idk how to describe them) So he is an ilusion, he ins't there. And if i am not mistaken, at the start of the game when the bullies chased her it was a drawn custcene. So she is either dead or in a comma

I did hear this game was inspired by Silent Hill and it definitely shows as the neighborhood the games in does look very similar to one from the SH Games too

This game kinda falls into the trap a lot of these games fall into. Where the gameplay loop is just "go to place to get the thing that opens the door to a place where you get the thing that opens the door." It happened to Bendy as well

American here. The room you are calling a hospital room isn't called that and isn't technically a hospital room, it's what we call in America the nurses office where if there is a medical need in the school for anyone we go there some look like that in the game some are smaller but they normally look like that. That's were we go to see the school nurse.
