Amazing video....did anyone else see a 'face' in the mountainside when Alex was asking about 'do you see anything out of the ordinary?' I was like...yes, the mountainside has a face.......then she focuses in ....the head or face is right behind the dragons.

Us too! The dragons would have bit us while we were looking at the mossmen in the hill. I've volunteered at an abandoned Cemetery here in Louisville KY. We mow the grass and repair the old stones. Everyone in the cemetery once loved and was loved, and I do my best even for strangers in hopes someone will help my family some day. ♥️ from Kentucky!

My grandmother had a gift she didn't really expect but she felt it was her duty. One night as a little kid I awoke to use the bathroom. As I passed my grandmothers room I saw her bedroom door was ajar. There was my grandmother sitting up in bed with her nightstand lamp on talking to a woman while my grandfather was fast asleep. The next morning I overheard her talking to my mother. It seems that when a church member passed the spirit of that person would return to give my grandmother a message to relay to the family at the coming funeral. These spirits would appear quite solid the only difference being their eyes were matte not glossy and they had no feet. They would speak to each other in their minds not verbally. the messages they relayed were quite specific " Tell Tom I have an insurance policy in the bottom drawer of my dresser that he doesn't know about." things like that. My grandmothers sisters gift was dream meanings. They were also very specific, not vague. It was good to have a primer early on, ghosts never frightened me as I encountered them later in life.

Some of the ghosts I have met looked just like people untill they suddenly disappeared. However some very old ones were different. One had been there so long it had lost all its edges & taken on the shape that people draw for ghosts. (It was Viking.)The other had become thin & wispy, (I saw near a Bronze age track). I wish them all peace & the ability to move on to where they need to be next. Once I moved in to a new place & there was a very friendly elderly gent' there. The man thought it was hilarious that there was a strange woman in his room. Was chuckIing away. I had to explain to him that he had passed on, which was sobering for him. But he did rally when I explained that this was actually a good thing because it meant he didn't have to stay here any longer & was free to move on to where he needed to be next. He moved on towards the light. Do not be afraid of dying. I remember the last time. I remember leaving my body & going to the learning place, between lives, which was very beautiful. When you leave your body you feel full of bubbling energy, like champagne released from the bottle. More alive than when you are in any body. Your kind teachers that you have known for millenia will greet you. You will know them, don't worry. Remember when you die you have somewhere else to be. It is very easy to get into seeing everything from the perspective of this one life but this is just one part of your existance. You can retain connections from a lifetime when you move on, in a certain way. If you want to ease your passing it helps if there is no conflicting energy. You don't want to be regretting anything you have done, it pulls your energy back. So it will help if you act with honesty, integrity & kindness. It can be very hard sometimes when we are hurt & angry but remember this is only temporary, we are all going to die & move on from here. Be ready to let go of things if it is the right thing. We all make mistakes, so be prepared to make honest apologies when due. Say the things you need to say. It all helps to keep your energy straight. Dishonest or mean behaviour bends our energy. Impairs flow. There are practices in this life that you can learn which may help. Energy based practices. Sorry, it is not easy to explain these things. There is much I do not know or understand.

@@babyrazor6887 I had a similar experience several years ago when I was very ill with food poisoning...I suddenly felt all the pain cease, was warm and comfortable, and was looking down at myself from near the ceiling. There was a warm, golden pink glow surrounding me...I didn't want to leave, but I was worried about my family... and dying on the commode like Elvis! So I was allowed to come back. Our mother would pack a picnic and head to a cemetery. She would find the older unkept graves and have us clean and weed them then picnic with them. She always said “the lawn is the best and the company welcoming “. At least 45 graves were found again by us after time and woods had claimed them. Now are once again in the care of the cemetery. They had been poor people from the early 1800’s that had been forgotten. A strange outing for sure but it taught me that caring for strangers takes nothing more than a little time and kindness

I love that Scotland still use some of the old Scandinavian words from when the vikings lived in Scotland. Annan means another in Swedish and kirka (church) is called kyrka in Swedish, kirke in Norwegian and Danish and kirkjan in Icelandic. Although the pronunciation of kirka is the most similar to Icelandic. In Swedish, Norwegian and Danish the first k is pronounced like sh. :D
@joannecarroll5504
@joannecarroll5504 3 года назад
@Julia Shepherd - Actually, the old language which we refer to as 'Auld Scots' contains a lot of German (kirche) & Dutch (kerk) words. In Scotland 'kirk' does NOT actually mean 'church', that was a bit of misinformation. 'The kirk' means 'a church belonging to the Church of Scotland'. The churches belonging to the Catholic Church are usually referred to as 'the chapel' despite being of normal church size. I believe this dates back to when Catholicism was punishable by death in the UK; after the demolition of all RC property, only concealed private, tiny & hidden chapels remained in which to secretly celebrate mass.

@johnnabuzby6103
@johnnabuzby6103 10 месяцев назад
Sapphires occur in loads of different colors...except for red - those are rubies. Rubies and sapphires are the same mineral, corundum. The color of the stones depends on what impurities occur within them; they measure the same hardness (9) (diamonds are a 10) on the Moh's hardness scale...so really the only difference is the color. My eldest son has sapphire as his birthstone; mine is a ruby. Greetings from eastern North Carolina, USA. 🇺🇸 ❤

Now you're speaking my language Momento Mori for sure -- I love old cemeteries! I'm fascinated by the gravestone decorations, and the glimpse that you have into life -- how old were people when they passed? Was it in conjunction with a historic war? Are there many "infant" graves (anyone under age 5) showing how difficult life was? Of course the oldest that I can find in my neck of the woods (Maryland, USA) is back to the end of the 17th century -- and those are very rare. But even 19th century grave markers have a lot to tell! Maybe you should start a second RU-vid channel -- Northern Gravelarks! :-) Stay healthy!

The large marbles we called "Shooters" when I was a child. The most desirable were ball bearings of that size called "Steelies". It is possible that the gravestone was temporary until the correct one was installed. A friend had half a dozen of the temporary stones in her pasture. That's how I found out about them. You might consider taking a tape recorder into a graveyard, setting it on "record", and then listen to the tape afterwards. You might hear what is called EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomenon. A friend did that in a very old logging camp and cemetery and the result was amazing...and a bit scary too. Sometimes you can ask questions and there will be a reply. You can ask the persons name, how they died, etc. You can make a bath of 30-50% molasses and water. Soak your rusty metal in it for 3-8 weeks or longer, pull it out then wash it off with a hose, If the rust is still there, soak longer. Dry, and coat with liquid beeswax or paraffin. If the metal has paint on it, it will not hurt the paint. Be sure to cover the container with a lid to keep bugs and pets out. It is biodegradable and won't harm the metal or the land. (Yes, it will smell too.) It works amazing, and sure beats Muratic acid for cleaning the metal, but takes longer.

I love the old headstone in the graveyard. They are all reminders of our mortality. And the angel with the faces the hands, hourglass, skulls and weeping willows. all are amazing to see on the stones. The oldest stone here in Savannah are usually piles of stones from the fields used to cover a grave. Or a single stone to mark the head. The Colonial cemetery has some old slate stones from the late 1700's, but none as beautiful as those.

Here in the southern US, we have false tombs in the old cemeteries Which are regular graves with a raised tomb above the grave. Not sure why they did this unless it was to maybe keep out animals or robbers. Please do this again in the daytime. And show the years and all of it. You did a great job. Too cold for me. I only thrive in the heat. Your part of the world is beautiful. Thank you for the lovely video.

I’m new to your channel and from the first minute of the very first video I watched, I fell in love and am now hooked! My Grandfather was born and raised in Scotland before he immigrated. I suppose maybe that’s why I feel this subtle, ancient call whenever I hear bagpipes, especially in beautiful music like from the first song in this video. ♥️ Thank you so much for putting the time and effort forward in finding such fitting songs throughout all your videos.

Love the plant in the dolls head❣️❣️live exploring old grave yards myself! I always feel like grave yards are peaceful places, and brought my daughter to one recently to get her out of the house for a little while, I never run into live people there ! Hope everyone is staying safe as possible ❣️ ❤️Tara

Great opening, music was so beautiful. Love Cemetery’s as a kid, the cemetery across the street was our playground. Built a fort with tire swing and winter tobogganed. My girlfriend lived in the big fancy house inside as her Dad managed the place, so we would play on the strapping that lowered the coffins. Cemetery’s are so fascinating, full of history. Your flashlight probably scared the occupants in the car hahaha. Love to see this place during the day, great video. Had to edit, fabulous job on the jewellery, beautiful

A very somber day., Sort of fitting that you shared it with old faces and Dragons and creepy doll faces! Interesting shard you found. I spent a few days around Dumfries back in 1985, driving those very narrow cobblestone streets, looking for a laundry mat a kind policeman told it was on Ruth Road.......when he saw it last! 😱🤪 If you go to creepy places best to not take a dog. They see things we do not. I remember a graveyard lost in the brush around an old village on Vancouver Island. We took our dog with us and at one point he stopped and growled. Suddenly we realized that the car was parked a lot further away than we would have liked!!!

Fascinating and the most interesting tour of an old graveyard I ever hope to see. Thank you! Also, love the jewelry and the dedication to those who came before. I became so interested in creating an honor to my relatives and in-laws that I now have 35K individuals in my Ancestry tree. i noticed a tree of 199K and that made me feel that I truly am not the only compulsive one addicted to genealogy.

Hello from Australia. We live in north east victoria. Here we got the Victorian heritage database. It worth looking at UK site. You get good knowledge from it. On one of your video's you wanted to do panning for gold. Check out early video's of Vo-gus prospecting. He a nice fellow. Lots of knowledge. Loved the cooked egg breakfeast. Love your mudlarking. Loved that y’all stumbled upon that old church and graveyard! My husband and me just visited a cemetery around our area. We like looking at the old headstones. So much history! So sad though when you see the graves of children. One family had seven children they had buried at the cemetery we visited. It had graves that dated back in the late 1800’s. I enjoy watching you ladies so much! ♥️♥️

I know it seems a bit macabre, but the headstones were meant to commemorate a life, so perhaps it's quite a thoughtful gesture to use some of those images and sentiments as a bit of a tribute - as you say, connecting what was to what is. And when you think some of those gravestones went back to the 1600 they've done an impressive job of remembrance. Some of the images & motos would be worth preserving, Alex, as time is gnawing away at them and soon they too will be dust... 👍👻👼🦘🐾

The blue and white china piece is the lid from a mustard pot. So that the spoon couldn't be mixed up and used for something else, the mustard spoon always stayed in the mustard jar. So the design of the mustard pot lid had a small indentation to accommodate the spoon. Great stuff. Thanks!
