If a Fender Deluxe can't keep up with your drummer then you really need to consider working on the drum volume. The thing that has the biggest effect on the drum volume is the drummer's technique but there are a number of other things as well like lighter or shorter sticks, single ply drumheads and thinner cymbals that can help in lowering the volume a bit. Small rooms add to the difficulty with loud sounds as the sound literally has nowhere to go and in bouncing around the sound reinforces itself and makes a noisy mess causing everything to be more inaudible even though it is incredibly loud. At some point volume-wise you are fighting with the room, sort of like doing a belly flop into water... the harder you hit the harder it hits back.
