Ha! I worked there 2002-2005. I worked at the Last Chance Diner in '03, The Ice Cream Parlor l, photo shop, and candy store in 2004, Then in late 2004 I transferred to attractions and worked the smaller rollercoaster and the ferris wheel. ☺️ My sister was one of the managers of the Wildcat coaster.
So cool without all the vandalism and graffiti. I wish more abandonded places would be like that. I've also been to Six Flags New Orleans and sadly almost everything is kind of destroyed there.
Celebration City was a theme park located in Branson, Missouri, United States. It was themed after America in the 20th century, with areas based on Route 66, Small-town America in the 1900s, and a beachside boardwalk in the 1920s
It opened in 2003, and closed October 25th, 2008. The park was designed to show life throughout the 20th century. The woman still owns it, but she said they currently don't have blue prints for a new park. However, she said it doesn't mean she won't use it eventually to make a new park. The church still is renting it
Ever since one of my friends said they imagined the inside of my mind looked like a haunted, abandoned, fairground I love looking up videos about abandoned fairgrounds and theme parks. They just look cool.
Fun fact: there are many rides from here that went to other theme parks. One of the theme parks being Wild Adventures in Valdosta Ga. So as sad as it is to see this place abandoned, at least a good portion of rides were able to be sold off and used at other theme parks!
This is in my home town. The amusement park is now a church actually. I think the church owns half of it and are waiting to buy the other half! It’s called Woodland Hills!!
Celebration City man that brings back some memories I remember going there when I was a little kid. I pass by it every year when we're in Branson and have always wanted to go explore it
Awesome stuff, you could make movies here would be a great use, awesome to see the vandals havent destroyed it, yes im late, better late then never watching from Cradle Mountain Tasmania Australia🇦🇺 here cheers 🍺🍻KC 🇦🇺🇦🇺🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸😎👍✌😊
Very cool! Also definitely looks like Disneyland Main Street. I would save up and invest in a trip to California or Orlando,FL and spend the week at theme parks if I was you. It will be worth it
I grew up in Youngstown Ohio and we had a small park~ Idora Park. It was an amusement park from 1899 until 1984. There was a fire that wrecked the place. The park tried to recover but never could. The spotlight of Idora was the carousel ~ it was purchased and moved to Brooklyn, NY of all places! Today it’s known as Jane’s Carousel♥️
After watching you two here, you would love Walt Disney World(Florida) and Disneyland(California)! There are things here that remind me of Walt Disney World on a much smaller level. Great video!
It reminds me a lot of Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN...which used to be called Silver Dollar City in the 1980's. I've been there more times than I can count growing up and raising my kids visiting there multiple times a year. Beautiful place!
It would make a great movie set. It also might be cool to rent out for a spooky themed wedding or party. I’m glad some rides went elsewhere and the owners took the roller coaster down for safety sake.
Damn I remember going there as a kid I’m from the area Well like an hour away. I never knew you could get in there still I’m have to check it out and TikTok brought me here so I sub
I wish I had known about y'all last year. You posted this on my birthday. And I am nuts about carousels. But at least I know about y'all now. So enjoy seeing y'all.
The church was renting out the amiptheater before they closed. On Sundays they would have morning service, but they had to be all cleaned up for the parks opening in the evening. Many late nights they would stay up before Sunday Morning trying to set up, and get stuff ready.
Weren't you worried about security catching you? There are other videos of this place being explored and the people got caught. Not that a trespassing charge means anything but it's still a huge hassle if you're caught. But it was an excellent video!
Awe. Frontier city, in OKC is small. But my son and I have had a lot of fun there. This amusement park is awesome tho. Charles Manson and his goofballs lived in an old movie set. It was Like an old western town I believe. Love You and Lakota in the video. As always great video. 🤠
Such a shame. Amusement parks, malls, downtown small business all closed. Our way of life is being destroyed. No place to go with family and friends, tp spend time just enjoying the world we live in. Somsad.
Well the buildings look like they are a straight copy of Main Street USA at Walt Disney World. Even the names and placement are similar. If I was going to build an amusement park I would definitely model it after one that was popular
I agree people like myself who are into history would like to read about places like this but I have no idea what it’s called. I have no interest in exploring or vandalizing.
What area is this?? I have a short video exploring a small amusement park in NY WITH A VERY SIMILAR HISTORY OF THIS PLACE! WE WERE BUSTED BY THE COPS... AND CHARGED WITH A TRESPASS CHARGE, BUT WE WERE LUCKY TO CATCH A BREAK WHEN GOING TO COURT IN EXCHANGE FOR TRYING TO SHARE THE INFO FOR PEOPLE TO NOT GO ON THE PROPERTY WITHOUT PROPER PERMISSION... SO WE HOPE TO GET THE VIDEO SEEN BY AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE AND WE WILL UPLOAD THE REST OF THE FOOTAGE AND EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED IN FULL FOR ANY OF THOSE THAT ARE INTERESTED IN THE TRIP TO THE ABANDONED PARK IN A SUBURB OF NEW YORK... JUAST LMK AND I WILL SHARE THE LINK OF WHAT I HAVE... AND IF YOU FOLLOW ALONG YOU WILL KNOW WHEN WE UPLOAD THE FULL UNEDITED FOOTAGE!!!
Part of that amusement park is a church that rents from the previous owners who now own silver dollar city and I go to that church and I was there when they tore down the roller coaster
Was this at celebration city if so those to empty things out front looks like wising weeks they had those gigantic garnated balls that went like rolling around with the water
I know you don't like to give the exact location, can you at least share what state your in? When I watch any movie I have to know the state :D That's great that you share a scripture in the beginning. I actually was hoping to find a vlogger that didn't cuss and keeps the Faith. New subscriber in the house :)
Where is this place? Not in the description.I think it would be in there.Talks about every other place but where this place is.Over use of the word sick.
