Exploring an Abandoned Nuclear Missile Base - CO 

Nice job on the video. I've been going out to explore this silo since the late 1980's. It's always a fun trip. Sad to see it has been trashed over the years and parts are starting to cave in. A bunch of clever kids even had a Rave down there in the late 90's. Looks like most of the candles they left are gone. I even found a dog in the lower floor of the power dome on one trip. Of course I had to save her. Got her back to her owners. She is known as Nellie the Wonderdog. Many stories and many good times in that place. Thanks for rekindling some of those for me.

If I ever made a graffiti in that place, it would read: "i'm hidden in here, try to find me"

There is a giant hole in the ground and nobody bothers to close it up so kids don't fall in there? Murica

No abandoned military installation is complete without being littered with senseless graffiti.

Shock mounted toilets. That would be my luck, trying to go to the bathroom and get attacked by a nuke.

I must say this exploration kind of freaked me out. While my sense of direction has alway's been pretty good I was totally turned around in here and would have become totally lost. Thanks for sharing you got this 61 year old heart of mine racing pretty hard. All I can say is be safe.

You have to wonder about the mindset of an individual who illegally enters an abandoned nuclear weapons silo, risking serious injury and asbestosis, purely to spray paint the word 'Gay' all over the walls.

I have a close friend whos family has property in southern Texas, a couple thousand acres. On the property are 6 abandoned missile silos.They were capped by the Gov. many years ago, the sand dunes eventually covered the caps and they were not noticeable, UNLESS you happen to own the property, the Gov. apparently still sends them a check every year.

This is probably one of the most if not the most coolest looking urbex locations I have ever seen.

I really cant believe how much graffiti there is! There is not a single wall not covered in this shit! I dont understand people going down there and instead of being fascinated they have to cover everything up with their bullshit!
