Time Capsule Shack
Located in a rural area surround by farmland, you might find this long abandoned farmhouse. A very modest looking home with a few outbuildings, one might pass right by thinking it wasn't very interesting, however inside tells a different story. Still filled with vintage furniture and seemingly most items left behind the way it was when the owners disappeared.
The cupboards still have food inside, the most recent calendar being from 2008 and wonderful furniture pieces from the 50s and 60s.
This time capsule has been sitting tucked away and hidden from the world for over 15 years!

Definitely a man after my own heart.... Lots of Coffee, a few beers and a humble abode. I always like when the items left behind give you a little glimpse into the life of the person who lived in the house. Thanks for another awesome explore! 👌

My assumption about this house is a man lived there since we didn’t see any women’s apparel, they certainly lived coffee, beer and wine. They lived a very simple modest lifestyle. Poor guy left his teeth and clean underwear. Great time capsule James.
@StaticSpaces

A modest lifestyle for sure and I think you are right about it being a man that last lived there. Thank you very much for your comment Harriet!!

An elderly gentleman farmer, first Nation, with COPD (probably emphysema) and colon issues. Born around the Depression. Ex-smoker. Wore glasses. Lived in Canada. Interested in gold panning, antique cars and took occasional vacations to the ocean. Liked to travel in general, but quit after the wife died. Widowed (she died well before him 5-10 years?), but kept the house neat after she passed because that's what she would have wanted. Had no kids or grandkids. Owned at least one horse that had worms and anxiety. Possibly had some sheep or cows..no pigs, though. Liked to read westerns for fun, but enjoyed educational materials as well. Kept his brain in shape. (Surprised you haven't come across any crossword puzzle or word search magazines.). Casual dresser. Probably only owned one suit, and that was used mostly for funerals. Enjoyed a beer or the occasional glass of wine, but was in no danger of becoming an alcoholic. Saved the bottles for the return value. That's just piecing together the clues from around the home. Too bad I'll never know how accurate I might be..lol

Loved the video! Real time capsule. I have watched your videos off and on and now have subscribed because I enjoy your style of talking and filming, opening cabinets, closet's, drawers etc as well as your zest for exploration. It's so refreshing how excited you get finding (Old Stuff) or just the decay of a place and wondering what happened to the people . Thanks for your time and efforts for providing us with these videos. ❤Who ever knew millions of people would watch other people exploring and camping etc videos, I love camping videos as well. It's like I am there with you exploring and the people camping in other videos. Thanks 👍

What a cute little old house James. A bit messy but not really falling apart. No frills but just basic house. Existed before the days when laundry rooms became prevalent as the washers in the bedroom. Seems like it could still be refurbished and used again. You couldn’t pay me to enter these old creepy basements via rickety old stairs. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed watching.

it's weird to think that the houses that we all live in now will still be here after we're gone, i picture someone rummaging thru my house in 40 - 50 years
@StaticSpaces
@StaticSpaces 12 дней назад
That's true, I'm not sure what the average life is of a house but it has to be longer than most people would live there. That's kind of a scary thought actually, thought provoking! Thank you very much for your comments!!

Looks like it would make a neat weekend getaway place! Glad it has a metal roof and hasn't been vandalized. Wonder what happened to the last occupant, whether they passed away, or ended up in a nursing home. Always sobering to see the remnants of a persons life on display in these old places.
@StaticSpaces
@StaticSpaces 5 месяцев назад
I would imagine they have passed away by this point unfortunately. If this one doesn't get demolished, it will likely be around for years to come with that metal roof. Thanks very much for your comment!!

Hi James This Static Space was cool. I thought you had nerve going down those basement stairs. So creepy down there. You showed us the 2008 calendar but there was another one in that office that looked like it was 1987. You moved away fast so I don’t know if that was the date. The kitchen was small but functional. You didn’t show us the out buildings and that RV in the yard. It was a good video but there was a lot of background noise. You probably didn’t notice but I heard it. Anyway these people were real coffee addicts. I laughed when there was a jar of coffee in the bathroom cabinet. They also liked beer and wine too. Poor guy left his teeth there right on the sink. Maybe he ran out of Polident. Had to be a man who left it no women would leave their teeth. Other than the noise it was a good explore. Thank you James for sharing this cute little home. Stay safe and well.👍🆒
@StaticSpaces
@StaticSpaces 5 месяцев назад
Yes, there was one from 1987 as well. I mentioned the one from 2008 in particular because that gives us an idea of when the home was likely abandoned. I was in a bit of a hurry during this explore, so I didn't even go into the other buildings, although I kind of regretted that when editing the video. It's weird because the background noise isn't very noticeable when I am editing the footage on my computer but then if I watch the video on youtube on my phone, it is more noticeable...strange. I'm not entirely sure what's going on there. This is also older footage, so the sound and video quality wasn't quite as good back then. Thank you very much for your comment Irene!!

Scary basement to me? I don’t know why. I like the house, not trashed or tore up by vandals, Their coats just hanging waiting tobe used again. The furniture left was like the house style nothing fancy but practical I thought the tv and cabinet looked much newer than the furniture. Even the spooky basement was cleaner, not all trashed up. Oh my gosh someone liked to have a drink now and then, more than a little bit lol. Did you notice that one room had paneling on the walls. Weirrrrd. Thank you James this was stress free tour for sure, for me.☀️I always get stressed when someone tears up a house, even when it’s the police. I would much rather see evidence of homeless staying in these places, getting out of the streets a little bit of shelter. Anyway Thanks again. It might of been short but I liked it!❤
@StaticSpaces

A old man died our ended up in a nursing home. Most who end up in nursing homes lose their personal freedom. As long as they don't suffer they are way better off passing away at home. It looks like a very cozy home I would move in if I was able to get a internet connection. Looking it over I don't think you could get a nicer place. a fresh coat of paint and it would be beautiful.

I always find these types of videos incredibly sad. This was someone's home once, people sat in that living room and watched movies on that TV, made dinner in that kitchen...now there's nothing left but dust, spiders and maybe a ghost or two. And from the looks of the bathroom whoever lived there left abruptly, maybe because of a medical emergency...and they never returned. Now it's just an empty abandoned shell. Houses are meant to be lived in.

To you and all your subscribers, you wonder why, all this stuff,was left as is untouched ,I am, 60. And I have lost, my big sister, and my mother,in that order,if I was a man, I think, I would have rather took, 5 kick's, to the gonads. Then have to go into their house, and clean it out, it was incrediblely pain full, to find, All the little things, That would have ment nothing to me, but so much to them. And now I stood there, and wondered what To do with it. Some of the homes you go into, I understand, why no one has touched anything. The pain of thair loss, was enough, going through, thair little treasures, that has no value, other than to me. You pay great respect, to the homes you visit, so please keep treating,as if it was, your mother's or fathers. I like the fact, you try to find out who lived there, and thair story. So thank you, for that respect you show.
