The Philippines is very nice, the people. I stayed with my wife's family a couple weeks in Almeria and stayed also in Manila. It's beautiful there and really superior to the U.S. if you your wants are of the simple nature. Can't find it in the U.S. And yeah, people are much happier there than here also, simple pleasures.
The beauty of this place is the people, you think the are living on a million dollars area the happy smile of this children and how the people have a happy greetings as well.
@@bullfighter42 If you are a veteran there's a special retirement visa which is very useful. Filipinos are very welcoming and although there are issues like the heat, the traffic chaos, bureaucracy, nepotism etc if you contact the Philippine Embassy you'll see there are several routes. You can even go on a tourist visa for 30 day, extend whilst there which I think you can do for up to 3 years. It give a taste of life and you can decide if it's for you. Behave, treat locals with respect and you'll be fine.

I've been in PH couple of times& stayed w fiends families local etc a a bit too( qs I know quite a few from works, etc here in west) & I have no issue with most what you're saying except, just as anywhere in majority of (or all other) countries, no humans are ever contend with what they're dealt with in life & Pinoys are definitely no exception. & also As ex-President Duterte was right about the out of control drug addiction( in west 60-70% same too) & high mugging etc problems in PH(but I completely disagreed with Duterte's Shoot to kill addicts on streets method, Never kill but do as Soudi Arabia, Singapore etc do: public whipping or chop half a finger etc, etc & Also PH's Maria Reza(+ the Russia's Jurnalist) both deserved Their joint Nobel peace price for standing up to Dictator Presidents:Duterte( &Putin).. Note the fish still alive. Food in the Philippines from thr markets is fresh picked, fresh caught or fresh killed. Cooked to a Filipino recipe it's so tasty. PS don't by fresh food in the supermarkets, it's just like UK & USA supermarket food, old, stale and artificially coloured to look fresh.
the beautiful archipelago known as the Philippines. First things first, the Philippines is made up of over 7,000 islands. Yeah, you heard me right, 7,000! That means you've got a whole lot of beaches to choose from. And let me tell you, the beaches there are like paradise on Earth. Crystal clear waters, white sandy shores, and palm trees swaying in the breeze. It's pure bliss, my friend. But the Philippines isn't just about beaches and coconuts. It's a country rich in culture and history. You've got influences from the Spanish, Chinese, and American colonization, all mixed in with the local indigenous traditions. It's like a melting pot of different cultures, and it's fascinating to see how they all come together. Now, let's talk about the people. Filipinos are some of the friendliest and most hospitable folks you'll ever meet. They'll welcome you with open arms and treat you like family. Plus, they know how to throw a party! The Philippines is famous for its colorful festivals, where the streets come alive with music, dance, and vibrant costumes. Trust me, you won't be able to resist joining in on the fun. And let's not forget about the food. Filipino cuisine is a mouthwatering blend of flavors. From adobo, a savory meat stew, to sinigang, a tangy tamarind soup, your taste buds will be in for a treat. And don't even get me started on the desserts. Halo-halo, a refreshing shaved ice dessert with various toppings, is a must-try. But it's not all sunshine and rainbows. The Philippines also faces its fair share of challenges. Natural disasters like typhoons and earthquakes can be a real struggle. Poverty and inequality remain pressing issues that the country is working hard to address. But despite these challenges, the Filipino spirit remains resilient, always finding a way to rise above. So, my friend, there you have it-a glimpse into the wonderful world of the Philippines. From stunning beaches to rich cultural heritage, this country has so much to offer. Whether you're a nature lover, a history buff, or a food enthusiast, there's something for everyone. So pack your bags, grab your passport, and get ready for an adventure you won't soon forget. Viva Filipinas!
@@josemariareigtignero6705 Philippines has shabu problem. And when ppl say Mexico of south east Asia they don't mean it as a bad thing. Philippines and Mexico were both colonized by same empire. I don't know why you have to mention drug cartels, mexico is more than just drug cartels bro.
@@harrydatrannychaserloc9245 so tell me who has the upper hand right now, the cartel or the goverment and why the Mexican goverment could not control the illegal immigrant going to Us via Mexican border. Its because cartel has more influence than the mexican goverment.
@@josemariareigtignero6705 hey buddy are you ok mentally? Why are you obsessed with the cartels bro? I am from the USA and I visit mexico every year, it is safe and beautiful there. If you think mexico is only cartels you really have mental problems. And the cartels are only present in few States, just like Muslim terrorist in Mindanao. And Shabu is still a problem in the Philippines bro, thinking about Mexico vs Phillipines in your head won't make anything better. And poverty and food shortage is a problem in the Philippines, in Mexico ppl have huge farms and less poverty, you really need to think differently.
@@josemariareigtignero6705 the immigrants crossing through mexico is not the government fault bro, they are refugees from the countries in central and south America. What does that have to do with Cartels or the Shabu problem in the Philippines? Are you mentally ok bro, why do you think so bad of mexico? Did the Americans who BOMBED Manila in WW2 brainwash you to hate Mexico? What did Mexico do to you that you seem to hate Mexico. Mexico has an economy much stronger than Philippines and over 100% more natural resources than the Island nation of the Philippines, places like Guadalajara Jalisco in Mexico have the best climate in the world, there is few crime and no murders in most of the city, there are more robberies in Metro Manila than there. I know many Mexicans who ppl thought were Filipinos in the Philippines when they went. You really have an evil corrupted view of Mexico. Imagine if ppl thought Philippines was Shabu, ppl eating Garbage, ppl living in trash, that is All TRUE but the Phillipines is MORE than that, just like Mexico is more than cartels. You should be ashamed.
With rice on our diet, nobody's getting hungry. And if we starve though, neighbors look out for each other no matter how poor, we share what little we have.
Because ordinary filipino diet is rice, rice can easily full your stomach, you eat rice just add little amount of salt or sugar or viands and thats it one meal to go for hours
Gosh, they're so cheerful. It's like over here but 20 years ago, when cameras were a novelty and people would instinctively wave at the camera. Nowadays there's so much people recording the streets with their phones that people just ignore you.
Growing up just outside the US Naval Academy grounds and as a military dependent, I have the fondest memories of the Filipino kids whose parents were stationed at the Academy. My best friend was a great example of something about Filipinos....... they can be extremely introverted and drive ya crazy trying to get a read on them, and/or drive ya crazy with mischief and torment in fun :) There is definitely a personality "type" common to the culture I've always loved. I'm laughing at the girl in red....... JUST like a girl of the Zoe tribe of the Amazon Basin, covering her mouth when she laughs :) No reason to, just self-conscious about something imagined :) :) Youth could be so tumultuous :)
No doubt that Africa has a lot of poverty. Every country has their issues good and bad. Just because ppl have a motorcycle doesn't mean they don't have issues =)
Why are blk folks always making videos about them? Get over yourselves. This video is 'Exploring Backstreets of Paranaque Metro Manila', not Africa or Chicago.
Philippines is an amazing place. Manila too crowded for me. I prefer going out to the provinces where the air is fresh and clean, and the people...Well, you've got to experience it.
These are the places I rather see, when my wife and I go home, these places are where the real people live, not in those fancy, westernised places they want people see like MBC, and all those touristy places.
Real people live in both places. I hate it when people say oh the poor areas or the “real” places. Like do you want us to progress as a country or not. In the future when the country looks developed are you gonna say all the cities look fake and the “real” people don’t live there because they look developed? This stigma needs to stop.
