Our oldest son has taken over the land based work at home and Rob takes care of the paperwork. It’s not full time as our son is still learning but every extra cent helps out her for unexpected costs😆 We have found most people that crossed the Pacific don’t work remotely as sailing, exploring and boat work keep you plenty busy.

Unfortunately, cruisers are not allowed within a 20mi radius. The entire part of Tahiti-iti has been blocked off since the 20th. I’m glad we were there before to take a look around (you’ll see that next week).😊

The trek was worth it!! Moorea is stunning!

We are three weeks behind in our videos. Blown away is several months. A year ago at this time we were in Florida still outfitting our boat.

Yes, he’s come a long way!!

We actually have a pretty nice snorkeling session in this video! We also are moving a bit faster than most channels. That sometimes prevents us from doing all the snorkel and dive sites that we'd like to. We only have 4 years out here and our goal is to complete a circumnavigation. But note taken! We will try to get more underwater footage. :)

I should add that the boat owners thought this was normal boat life.

Great question! It’s a totally different scenario when you are away from Florida and out on anchor. Go back and watch our earlier episodes where our SB AC unit broke while outfitting. It’s a must especially if in a marina in FL. Since we’ve been traveling we honestly never use it. You sort of get used to the heat and while at anchor your always pointed in the direction of the wind. Fans are definitely a must and we installed 6 additional and have a great power fan we use all around the boat. Our friends installed the Mabru 12v AC’s and have been told they are pretty useless. Another friend has one that uses less power and they run theirs a lot.

@@SailingParadiseFallsi guess you guys have been in the southern hemisphere since summer in the northern hemisphere. You were in panama in April or may, and crossed in june?

We crossed the canal in March, Left for French Polynesia in April.

Lots of prayer? A boat next to us put out 2 anchors. There are ways, but the biggest is you just always have to be aware and know your neighbors! We love the cruising community! Countless stories of helping each other out in times of need In just about every anchorage we have been in, there has been at least 1 boat that has drug their anchor. If someone isn't on the boat, others will try and help get it secured.

@@SailingParadiseFalls we definitely got exposed to the generosity of the cruiser lifestyle last week. Our training was an unmitigated disaster. I hope my question wasn’t taken as anything but Genuine curiosity.

@@SailingParadiseFalls tell me about it. My monster in law literally prayed for us to have a horrible trip to dissuade us. It’s crazy. You ever hear of the psychological thought experiment of chimps that get sprayed by a fire hose for going after some bandanas? I swear it’s just like that.
