That’s such a fantastic place to explore. We were out bikepacking there recently and met the Povlsen family. They appeared to be really down to earth. They offered to show us inside the cottages they’ve renovated but we politely turned it down, didn’t want intrude. Really grateful for the investment they have put into the area. With every highland community, there are some that support what they’re trying to do and others that just don’t like change. Nice wee video guys. Thanks. D&L 😊

Cheers! I met a bloke in the bothy who was making an educational documentary on the re-wilding of the area; he did mention about the tension that the policy can lead to amongst those who favour the traditional use of the land. I really enjoyed hiking through the glen, it's nice to see the diversity of flora as opposed to the usual barren hillsides. Thanks for watching, atb, Ben 👍

That is a very luxurious bothy and I believe it is part of the MBA. Lyndsay who you most likely spoke to at the bothy is the unofficial caretaker there and had/has a big say in what went into the bothy, the land owners stated that for a bothy to remain there it must have a toilet and so the toilet/shower block was built. I had a fantastic stay there when I hiked the SNT, I arrived with the idea to pass through and check it out but ended up in conversation with Lyndsay for a long time. Also met Chris Townshend there but I didn't realise it was him until a while after he'd left when Lyndsay told me, great night and very relaxing and to have a hot shower was fantastic. I am still to return. Incidentally, if you return they plant another tree for you apparently..!

Cracking video Ben, I think that bothy is in better condition than my house! 🤦‍♂️😂 I really need to get back up to Scotland at some point. We have a couple of nights planned in the lakes Sunday and Monday around Sprinkling Tarn area so looking forward to that. Atb Lee

Cheers mate. Aye it's a luxury bothy, it's well worth the drive up, there's loads of opportunity for multi day hikes up that way. Sprinkling Tarn looks a winner like, nice to have a couple of nights out. If it's any good we should get a lads camp booked in for the future, Alex has probably forgotten how to pitch his tent already 😂👍

@@Adventure-Outdoors aye mate been trying to get something arranged for a while but it'd quite difficult now with me and Alex changing jobs recently so the days off don't always align. I'm sure we'll get something sorted though. Welcome to camp Monday night with us at sprinkling tarn if you have nothing on.

I spent a week in Glen Feshie a few months ago and spent a great evening in the bothy swapping stories with Lindsay and some German visitors. He’s a top bloke and also showed me how to get back by avoiding the Wash. It has to be said that there was hardly any water when I was there so the crossings were much easier. Loved the video!

Loved this one! That bothy! I've paid good money to stay in much, much worse! Great to see it's being kept in good nick. It's another place on my Scotland list to visit. Also, love hearing Tris speak, her shyness is infectious (and I love how you always let her go first over the streams, haha) cheers mate.

Hi mate, it’s a cracking bothy, well worth a look when you’re over that way. Trust me, when the camera is off Tris never shuts up, always bustin’ my hump about something or other 😂. There’s another bothy nearby called Ben Alder, it’s supposed to be the most haunted bothy in the country, I’ve never been but I bet it’s worth a visit 👍. Atb mate.

@@Adventure-Outdoors haha! I hope Tris isn't reading this 🙂 haha! I love the sound of the haunted bothy, although not sure I'd want to know beforehand, or be ony own. Could be a good Halloween video? ATB best mate.

Enjoyed your description of the squat toilets as “beautiful”. Compared to hanging your bum over a log I suppose you’re right. My son and i are coming up over the border at half term for a spot of canoe camping and maybe backpacking. Your videos help provide inspiration on locations and your relaxed and natural style makes them an enjoyable watch. Tris’ pack looks huge on her BTW. I hope it’s all quilts! 😂 ATB
