A lovely video of Hereford. If any of your viewers ever visit there are quite a few things to see here in Hereford. The castle green is the site of a castle which no longer exists apart from part of the moat which is now the duck pond which you walked past in your video. The cathedral dating from around 1080 is worth visiting as it is lovely inside and if you go on a day when the cathedral cloisters and gardens are open, that's worth a visit too. Hidden away in Widemarsh street opposite Wicks DIY is The Coningsby Hospital museum with the remains of an old priory and preaching cross behind it. Just outside Hereford my personal favourite places to visit are The Weir Garden and Hampton Court Castle and gardens. There are plenty more places to explore if you are ever in the county.
A good walk around my home city - yes it's fair in many places and I love it much of the time. Of course this is the veneer. You wanna check out the South side, Hunderton, Putson, Redhill or Edgar St or the college estate - some communities aren't so affluent looking. Take care. P.S next time walk around the Left Bank, Widemarsh St and or the Old Market. Peace.
Yes I also think you should definitely go to Widemarsh street which is sort of cut in half by the A438 (main road). Start in Widemarsh Street in the older part of town and follow it down, across the road towards Wickes DIY - the Coningsby Museum is on the right with the ruins of the priory behind it. The priory is open every day but the Coningsby museum is only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays I think - best check before you go if you fancy seeing that when you are here.
What a beautiful place! So elegant with so many grand buildings. I had no preconceptions of Hereford! I often confused it with Hungerford (another lovely place) Should be up there with Bath on the tourist trail!!
