A first ever climb up to Holme Fell on a bitterly cold Winters Day. Parking at the Glen Mary car park, I walk back to Yew Tree Tarn, walking through Harry Guard Woods before starting the climb on a steep, shaley path that leads you towards the summit. Progress was slow due to the path being covered with ice but the reward was stunning views over Coniston Water and the surrounding Fells.
