Exploring Inside Derelict Vectis Hall Ryde - Abandoned Isle of Wiight

Derelict school Vectis Hall located in Ryde Isle of Wight was built in 1812 and was originally the first free school in Ryde.
It is a Grade II listed building, however, many years of neglect have left it rotting and on the brink of collapse.
The property was put up for sale last year and beyond this, I don’t really know very much about the site.

Last time i was there was in the late 80's, and that main hall was filled with Amiga Computers and Floppy Disc Drives .... Happy Days. Thanks for the Memories Sir :)

All of the upstairs section felt a bit soft underfoot, I think whoever purchased the property is looking at restoring it which is good news! Thanks for watching Mark 👍

I remember my dad telling me his mum took him there to vote in the 50s. And even going in there with my parents for a vote when it was a polling station in what must have been late 80s/early 90s

Ricky Oswald it's a weird organic sound I made in Absynth, I like to hide stuff like that in the mix all over the place👍... Hope shiz is all good with you btw

Lovely old telly there, and the kid's coathook rack too. So sad. This highbrow listed building rubbish isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Near me was a once - nice art deco railway station. It even had the old Southern Railway backlit glass sign under the newer ones at the front. Parquet floors, mosiac in the lavvies, heavy hardwood doors on the waiting rooms. Grade 2 listed ? MY ARSE. ALL demolished and replaced with a crapulous modern cheapo stainless steel / glass souless shithole, like the nasty generic plasticy new trains. Not ONE thing was kept from the old structure. That sign would've set the new shithole off nicely. Or the preserved railway people would've loved it. Glad I'm retired from all that.
