How did you make sure your cat did not cook in the RV when you went off for your day trips? We are definitely not wanting pets during our first 2 years exploring...not until we settle down...
We park in shady places and make sure there is good ventilation or stay hooked up so we can have A/C. We won't leave them if it seems like dangerous weather. It does add a layer for sure!
I have a funny story from Cancun: we went to Mercado 28 (market28) and my hubs and I got separated and a vendor asked my hubs to “look at my quality Walmart crap” he replied “No thanks, I’m looking for my wife” the vendor said “I have no wife but, I’ll sell you my seester(sister)” 😁😆😅.
I agree with you Dennis. I do love that México does not use those hand rails. I remember hearing a Canadian lady complaining about it, and I told her, two reasons why in México we don't use them, is because we use common sense and don't like the government babysitting us, and when you use those hand rails, it makes it look like some attraction Park like Disneyland or universal studios. I remember seeing handrails in the Grand canyon, and I thought they were ruin the view of nature. Saludos ✌️
You two are so much fun. I can’t tell you how enjoyable it is to watch your videos. This episode makes me dream about the time when my wife and I will be able to return to Mexico. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us.
What a delightful piece of heaven on earth. So beautiful and steeped in history. Not just a 'nice place to be' but a gem. Love the hat. As you are nearing the end of your Mexican tour ( as you mentioned), I can imagine it is now time to gather some memorabilia. Looking forward to whatever else you have in store for me to discover. 🙏 👍 🎥 🌷 🙋♀️
I was there with my daughter exactly a year before you posted this. Such a wonderful place. Unfortunately I had an ear infection from diving the days prior and spent part of the day in the hospital. Very kind people there and such beauty and history.
I've lived on Isla Mujeres for 17 years now. You have done a very good and respectful tour of the island. Just FYI, that "pyramid" to Ixchel has been built and rebuilt over the years. The original structure is long gone. And the whaleshark tours. Be aware that you may have to take a four hour boat ride to find them, along with about 30 other boats. You will only be allowed 15 minutes in the water with them. They don't tell you that. Playa Norte has consistently been ranked in the top 20 beaches of the world since the 1980's. Again, thank you for being such polite and respectful tourists to our island. That is a rarity these days.
Glad you felt we showed the island in a positive way. Thanks for the tips for others who may be traveling there in the future. Enjoy your beautiful isla!
I live on Isla Mujeres in the winter. For clarification, the car ferry that you used is pretty limited right now, but the passenger ferry runs every hour, with a few on the half hour.
Hey Denis I love that hat send me one like that to Texas con el Tigere lol , I love the Sunset on the ride back to Cancun din't get to see much of The Isla but I like it , saludos amigos hasta la proxima semana hello Liz
I love you two!...Just started watching your videos' (I watch everybody's RV videos) about-a 6 weeks ago...of ALL the couples, you guys are my favorite and that is a fact...now I'm watching your older videos because they keep popping up on my feed (I work at home) and I have to admit some of the old ones were lame lol..but watching you guys grow..wow..your videos are THE BEST RV travel videos..I wish there was some way to tell these other people with like 200,000 followers because your work is better..I even watched the videos of the two couples you traveled with (because you gave em a shout out)...and...they were hard to watch...especially that couple that bailed on you...anyway, I love the Isla de Mujeres (left my DNA on the sidewalk there...ripped my toe up)..visited last year...This is the closest date, I'm right on your asses now...keep on keepin' on! Jay
Thank you! We're so glad you enjoy our videos 😁 every channel is different and appeals to different people. Yes, we've grown a lot at editors. Our old ones do suck sometimes! Haha but appreciate you going back to watch them to support us and watching each week! - Liz
I just started following you guys within the last couple weeks. Enjoy your videos. Even look forward to Mondays to see them. But this one I was a little bummed. I was hoping for more footage of the island. I'm hoping to visit when we get to Mexico. And maybe stay there at one point. I hope in the future you stay on the island.
Sorry to hear that. It was a day trip so we are limited in what we can film. We also can't fly the drone there as it's restricted flight path. There's lots of beach clubs which we didn't participate in. You'll enjoy it I'm sure it's a small but cute island.
I went there a couple of times probably 30+ years ago and remember it being really cool and yes, incredible snorkeling! It has really grown - still looks amazing!
Sweet! First place I’ve actually been to that you guys visited haha my gf and I stayed at the famous shell house (airbnb) if you happened to see it. We had an awesome week, but only thing I didn’t love was how pushy and salesy the locals were about everything. It was my first time in Mexico so it was pretty shocking to me, but thanks for addressing it!
Great video, I am so hungry for some of that deliciousness that it crossed my mind, what would it take to get on a flight right now? Haha not yet but will go there again someday!
Cool video thanks for sharing enjoy seeing the places you guys go. Definitely love Mexican food for sure. Visit our local Mexican restaurant frequently.
Isla Mujeres is one of our favorite places. Like you, we eat at the vendor places. We do like Mango Cafe for breakfast. Our favorite place to stay is El Milagro which is mid island. We usually stay a week to 10 days and rent a golf cart and buy groceries. We've gone kayaking, snorkeling (dive shop next door) and bicycling. Great staff. We like unique places and this one that we fell in love with a few years ago. My sister has been coming there for years. Hope we can return in the near future.
I’ll tell ya you guys look so happy and that is wonderful to see. Makes me happy and want to watch more videos. Be safe and well guys. What what you eat and drink. ❤️🇨🇦❤️ Cheers!!!
This brings back some great memories. Spent a day touring this island via a golf cart. What a combo of amazing views, beautiful churches, delicious food. And some very poor housing. I cant imaging being there in a hurricane which has hit the island several times. And my in laws where there in the 1970s - I cant imagine what that was like. Another great video with your charm and silliness.
What fun! Are the lizards real? Just curious because I’ve seen it on another RU-vidrs channel and it’s exactly in the same spot. 🤣 Love the purse hope you got it and the hat was great! Safe travels you two.
I don't even answer hagglers, just grin or smile as you pass by or nod your head with a NO if they are really hard core, if they get really persistent then just cuss them out
have you ever been to the cenotes? There are some great ones near Puerto Morelos Mexico. One we really enjoyed is called siete bocas. My husband and I are RVers and we love Mexico. We enjoyed watching your journey this winter and learning about some new places to check out.
That's wonderful. Glad you enjoy our travels so far! Yes we visited a few near Tulum! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vTr6eLvsehA.html and our next vlog will have several more!
Dennis I love your new hat it looks pretty cool! Love the baby you bought Liz. What a nice place to visit. The food looked good. I could smell it through my phone.lol! 😂 I was wondering how Dennis had been feeling lately. He said he still had a tummy problem. I wish we could do something to help. All’s I can do is pray. He’s looking a little better. Where you were the water as beautiful. Thank you for this beautiful video. Looking forward to your next video. See you next week.
Thanks to you guys I have learned how to make a kick ass street taco. Thank you. And I think it’s worth mentioning that I appreciate the research you do for the places you visit. You’re never too old to learn. And I always like the button 😁
Went there a few years ago. I took a golf cart out to the dump hoping to see some crocs but was disappointed. Did you guys see the floating house the guy made with trash?
Oh guys, how do you eat those tacos when you have stomach problems?! lol. I really enjoy your content, thank you for all the effort you put into your channel.
@@EatSeeRV omg. Its a 40 minute boat ride from Cancun and you must have reservations. Its a preserved island and I’m told they only allow 200 people a day to visit. Check it out.
@@RuthALacey maybe from North Beach to Point Sur, no more than 100 pesos, but round trip that is only $5.00 and how many times are you going to do that. Not many. Point is, you can save a ton of money by not needlessly renting a golf cart. Three round trip taxi rides a day is $15.00. Golf cart rental is at least $60.00. Save at least $45.00 a day, a lobster dinner.
Yes, we work remotely. We've talked about it in past videos, but if you want the details on how we stay connected you can find out in our RV Mexico guide www.EatSeeRV.com/RVmexico
@@EatSeeRV I do recall seeing some videos about you guys working remote. We are about to possibly make the RV life plunge. Just have one last kid at home and she is 22.
Looks phenomenal. Happy Dennis feeling better. We looked at some vanlife options over the weekend. You can buy a lot of notes for the price of an rv. I try to remember the purpose of the paper is to have fun!
Build your own or buy used and renovate! It's so great having your own customizations fit for your needs and style and you save so much. But yes, you can buy a lot of notes (especially 2nds) comparatively. - Liz
@@EatSeeRV Thank you we are spending a week there the 1st week in August. We normally stay in Puerto Morelos so we are looking forward to a new adventure.
Thank you Susie! Glad you enjoyed the video and enjoyed the music. That's honestly one of the hardest parts! Haha thankfully the wave didn't choose to take him all the way!
Hi Liz and Dennis! Loved the video, especially all the good eats and the trail along the island. Looking forward to your next video. Great chapeau, Dennis!
Dive with Whale Sharks is ~#17 on my written bucket list. We tried in Honduras and didn't see any. That is one badass tiger hat, like the Engineered To Destroy hat. Dennis' superpower is obtaining awesome hats.
