Exploring Killer Guitar Tones on the New Spark Amp 

I know someone already said it, but this is easily the best demo of the spark on youtube. Thank you for doing this man. 🙏

It not only takes a good amp - it needs a good guy who can explain and play it like you!

Paraphrasing, “This is a great way to start to familiarize yourself with what all these different things sound like before going out and having to spend money on these pedals.” I wish more people who knock an amp like the spark would realize this. I know there are different softwares that doe the same thing, but having this with the amp and an app is a great feature, especially for us bedroom guitarists. Just got mine after almost 6 months and I am loving it. No way I can play my deluxe reverb at night with my family. This is a great demo by a wonderful guitarists. Thank you, Sir.

Justin Johnson could make a potato with a speaker to sound great but he seems to be enjoying this amp so this is now on my music gear shopping list !!!

Wow, I'm so happy I've found your channel, Justin. You really are a breath of fresh air. I have watched all the Spark reviews, but you are in a different league. Your playing style is amazing. Your presentation is laid back and all about the product rather than yourself. Some RU-vidrs think it should be the other way around. Well done, mate!

ThAt is one the best demos ever truly organic feeling and sound I could imagine my self playing great job brother awesome tones that sounded organic!

E.g., when you did the delay and the timing of the notes and started playing and made it you rhythm and counter sound and extension sound &etc., as Always, you have perfect timing, clarity of notes and chords, and, you're Amazing with the meaning/Expression of what tunes you're playing! I was completely overwhelmed with the entire technical handling regarding the amp and the operation that I do via the mobile phone (Android System). And when the connection finally worked, I quickly lost the overview. With your video, I managed to get by fairly well to this day. And now trying it out is a lot of fun!! Excellent review Justin , you are a great player. This amp is everything you pointed out .. I had mine for a month before I ever plugged it in cause I was too busy with some big projects and I knew if I did, I would be going down the rabbit hole. It just makes you or me I should say 1000 times more creative, constantly exploring and thinking of new ideas I would have never thought of without it. I have played guitar 50 years and never been satisfied with a setup lol ... seriously and with this thing the options and variables make an amazing journey dialing in countless amounts of setups that are incredible. Another beautiful thing is there is already so many available without having to do any work, just go through the tone cloud and and a person could be up for days finding great stuff already there for them. For all the guys and girls who maybe dont play enough or set it down for years or months at a time .. this little magic box makes you want to play all the time, loads of backing tracks with full band to choose from and just play.. explore .. experiment . it's a total blast. A very insightful and thorough tour of this amp. Delving into the creative possibilities was eye-opening.I had a nice small Fishman amp stolen a while back this seems like an ideal replacement.

Right on man! Definitely diggin the "gently weeps" vibe & the slide playing is very nice! Put the amp through some really nice sounds & showed what a great practice tool this can be. Yeah man I agree - wish there was gear like this available when I started playing. New sub dude.

Thanks for this demo. Finding a good demonstration on youtube for a piece of gear you're interested in is bloody hard since not a lot of players actually have TONE in their fingers. This guy does.

Nice presentation !!! thx You show options of the amp I haven't seen in other vids. I ordered the spark amp a while ago.. can't wait for it to be delivered. As an beginner/intermediate player.. this looks very promising.. knowing that my best amp atm is a VOX pathfinder + pc software bias amp and a old VOX AD15VT. So this amp is like 5 time more expensive then the ones I own. So expectations are high.

I ordered mine on 1/30 and just got it yesterday on 6/19. So far I`m very impressed. I`ve been playing for over 46 years and this is the best most advanced practice amp I`ve ever owned. And it really does sound great !!!

I’ve had the Spark for about three months and I absolutely love it. The possibilities and tonal combinations are endless. So you’ll probably die of old age before you play them all. The ONE complaint I have about this amp is DOCUMENTATION. It would be so great to get a kind of “recipe book” and better instructions on how to create your own tones. That’s why this video is honestly the best documentation I’ve found on it. Maybe some of the tones sound a little compressed. But it’s a practice amp. By the same token it’s probably the only practice amp you’ll ever need. Great job on this video. I’m going to subscribe.

Thanks so much for this excellent review/overview. I just got my Spark 40 (it got here 2 WEEKS EARLIER THAN EXPECTED.) This short video taught me so much! And that end piece about jamming - I don’t have enough experience to be sure the chords are accurate, so I appreciate your check on that. 5 stars to you, and 5 stars to Spark. Saving me $1000’s on gear.

Had my spark a week now and love it it almost makes me want to sell my tube stack as it’s very versatile and can play it late at night without waking up my wife and kid.

I ordered one of these the other day. Most reviews are a bit more rock oriented... this has opened my mind even more to this amp. You're a great player!
