I like living in Knob. Born on Whiteman AFB. My dad was retired Air Force. I grew up in Leeton (small town with about 400 people and only one 4-way stop) then we moved to Warrensburg when I was 9, and I graduated from WHS. Love Knob now. It's quiet, and can to WBG or Sedalia if I really need something. Saw my house in the video, which was cool.
@SourStrawberrys I don't have to lock my doors or worry about getting things stolen. everyone knows everyone, whether you like them or not. if I want to get shot, I can go to Kansas City or St. Louis
I lived in Knob noster for 3 years i was not in the air force. I would have to say for small town living i really loved it and so did my kids. the school district was amazing. my kids would have loved to graduate from Knob high school but we had to move do to work. If we could have stayed down there we would have. This is one of the best towns i have ever lived in I wish that i could go back
Whiteman AFB was my first assignment in 1987. I remember when the Dairy Queen opened and it was all the rage. I also remember going to a fair in KN and you had to bet which square on the ground the cow was going to poop in. Blasting down DD50 to Warrensburg was always a thrill. Def a culture shock for an 18 year old kid from Los Angeles. Doesn't look like the town has changed much.
Update on Knob Noster; They’re updating the highschool! The grant wasn’t passed but the school district is still determined to make a better high school for the kids, I’m pretty sure I’ll go there for one year. Great school district, we’re a very school-proud town
Oh, my goodness. My father was stationed at Whiteman AFB for 5 years. There was an elementary school on the base and then we had to go to Knob Noster for Middle or High School. I did not finish Middle School (Jr. High School) there because we were in Florida by that time. I do remember an old drug store that had cheap candy and we managed to get there before the bus took us back to the base. I want to see it again and hope to see planes during Armed Forces Day. We will see what year that will happen. I remember Warrensburg and Sedila, too. It has been a long, long time ago. Those were the best memories of my childhood.
@@WarrensburgMissouri Thank you for your kind reply. I appreciate you! I wish I could go on the base, but I know that is not possible. I have photos that I can view, but not very many.
@@slavarussia9516 GO AWAY! Typical Russians.....Don't you have anything else to do? Read about Democracy and Russian interference and how your country has destroyed Ukraine. Bye and I have reported you.
knob noster has grown since i went through with my youngest daughter who was 4 yrs old and born in 1997. sonic or most of the businesses didn"t exist. holy crap. it has grown......makes me feel old! sorry, my child, heaven gatlin!
@@WarrensburgMissouri my in tire family says that there all chief fans and always say Russel Wilson suck and the broncos suck so is pretty normal but I get to make fun of my friend for being a bears fan so it evens out🤣
The base changed its name for a man with the last name of Whiteman in the 50's, I believe. It had a different name, originally, but this person had been a hero and that is why it is named Whiteman. I do not know what rank he was, but please Goggle it. I lived at the AFB with my family for 5 years. I do not know if he was black, white or whatever. It does not matter because he was a Hero!
I just randomly came to this channel after watching TheLegendofJeff (JCS) and seeing a short by him that shows a SR-71 Blackbird flying over KN and was dope Lead me to searching up Knob Noster, MO. I live in Saint Louis and have never heard of it. I think you're the only person who has some content on it 🤔 Anyways, I love the energy and how you can put out your thoughts off the rip
@@WarrensburgMissouri Oh snap, I forgot I posted this on my troll acc lol. No prob tho, you seem like such a uplifting person. I wonder if you made a travelling YT account with showing off marketable small towns that ppl don't know much about but are worth moving too if they wanna live "small". Feel like you'd be a good face for the cover of a channel like that. There's a YTber who goes to the "most dangerous hoods" charliebo303 something like that. Never expected him to blow up but he did
