Welcome to Minivan Camper Gal! I'm Kelly and I camp and travel in a Chrysler Pacifica Minivan, doing part-time van life. Here you will find van build videos, tips on the digital nomad lifestyle, general travel vlog videos, and more. I'm into minimalism, and I eat a mostly plant-based vegan diet. I'm still learning how to do vegan vanlife well! I have some great vegan camping recipes to share with you, but would love some suggestions, too! Sometimes I stealth camp in the city, but mostly I like to boondock. Join me and my camper van as we embark on all the car camping adventures!

Thank you for having your cousin talk about the effects people are causing while they're out "enjoying" themselves in our natural settings. The thing is the people who litter and who don't leave a place like they found it have been doing it their whole lives. Reminding these people to respect their natural environment doesn't seem to get through to them. Maybe they are the same people who leave their cigarette buds all over the ground like the world is their ashtray. They just don't care. I would like to add something. At a nearby lake I am seeing people feed the geese. It creates an artificial food source that makes more droppings, that eventually make it's way into the lake. Because of this the bacteria count goes way up! This in turn affects all the wildlife that use the lake for their home. Certainly nature provides everything these geese need to not only survive, but to thrive also.

Thanks Joann! Yeah - you're right - people who are inconsiderate rarely listen to advice, nor are the interested in improving.

Thanks for nabbing your cousin for us! I'd be interested to know his take on some of the head banging between nature conservation and de-carbonization advocates. It seems improvements to the production of electricity and its transmission are required to decarbonize but there are land issues for wind/solar/grid transmission. Also, mining. I heard Bill McKibbon contrast how instantly coal burns up after you mine it, with how decades long the minerals needed for energy storage last. Everything seems to cost something.

Thanks for watching! Yes, we talked about this a little. You're right, everything has a cost.

I'm doing my part, I stay home! Sold my RV, really tired of interstates and campgrounds. They are all the same! Do your part and avoid nature, you will just mess it up! LOL

Haha! Yes, I know what you mean. I've chosen to not visit a few places because I just don't want to contribute the ruin of them.

Wonderful content! Request - please don't let your pets in the lakes, rivers, streams, ponds & creeks ... if they are infused with flea & tick killer it may kill more than just the ticks & fleas that don't live in water! Please tell folks how far away from the water should they use soaps & chemicals and bury the human waste (also how deep). ☮️💟 ♥️🐝🐞🐌🐛🦋🪰🪲🕷️🕸️🪿🦆🦉🦅🐢🐠🦞🦀🐋🐬🦢🦚☘️🍀🌿🌱🪴🌲🌳
