I just realized that Ragnarok and Fraggle Rock sound similar enough that one could rewrite the Fraggle Rock theme to be about Ragnarok. Sleep deprivation really gets my creative juices flowing.

Actually it was that mistletoe was to young to swear an oath. A theme/device that’s reoccurring in the sagas with children and heirs that are replaced by men that have reached their majority.

odin could have stopped ragnarok by killing fenrir and jormungandr when they were still small. Instead he let them live and grow to monstrous size. Common sense slipped by that day/

If Ragnarok is the destruction and rebirth of the Gods. Does that mean that after it happens. Odin, Thor, Loki and all the Aesir and Vanir gods would be reborn again

sadlobster1 Gods as in the meaning of "The Gods" not the literal sense of the gods in the pantheon. Just as the world is reborn it is different, same idea with the gods.

Some believe Baldr who was a kind and loving God is the Christian god and the 2 humans are adam and eve are the 2 survivors of Ragnarök and that Nidhog is the devil, it's also said that Magni and Modi were the angels Michael and Gabriel. There's a lot more other spin offs that I've heard concerning this as well

I find it uncanny how Leviathan and Behemoth are displayed in the first pic opening of video within norse mythology. These 2 creatures i read about in the Septuagint. 2 great beast to be released in the last days by God one to wreak havoc on sea the other by land. Their even referred to in the book of Enoch when he was wandering the realms of the heavens and saw 2 great beast and was explained what they were for. Leviathan is also mentioned in scripture. These 2 creatures to this day are referenced in many things

I have been in search for the energy I have picked on that has brough me here. I skimmed some comments and nice so nice. I am here today on this voyage. This feels so good I am excited to see both the how and why I am here today. Mostly to see what shall happen today but to feel confident is done by this mythology of Norse Ragnarok. Together of what it brings within me It will be reality. I have no clue to what, why, or how I am with Ragnarok for I am just a baby at such a older age. For I have lived my reality as for I am 50 years old. I have had to look back at my past to figure out what the heck guided met or protected me some crazy times but to have survived and not to complain at all. I can not change my past and It is my life. So, this is reality if feel it is. That is much beter than having one book one way to get to one same ole thing. i do have belief that my life is a journey of my own. i have been with some really great people and even have a family of my own. For 27 years with awesome kids and now grand kids too. This is going to be awesome For to each is own. Hell Yeah!!

Let me begin by saying, I absolutely love your channel. I've been watching since the time when all you had was Middle Earth lore, and your content has only gotten better. I watched all 5 parts of the SCP Ouroboros Cycle, and loved every minute of it Now, as for a critique on your final thoughts of this video: while I too believe that Christianity has some impact on our records of it (though Norse bears much more similarities with Mesopotamian mythology in my opinion), I believe you may be lacking in Biblical information (which is fine, most Christians are as well) if you believe that missionaries claimed this was the new and better world. The end times in Revelation speak of the final battle between God and His opposition, and afterwards there being a New Heaven and a New Earth. To me, it would be far easier for them to simply say that they (like many religions) had many of the pieces of the puzzle. Almost every religion has a dying god (an odd craving for the world to have), but I love Norse mythology for being the only other faith that I know of that goes into nearly as much detail of what comes after the end.

In Norse Mythology, Surt makes his debut at Ragnorok. He hates the Aesir, but we do not know why. That Freyr squares off against Surt is therefore a mystery.
