Join me on a spectacular hiking adventure at Rough Ridge along the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina! This short yet rewarding hike offers some of the best views you can find off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Starting at Milepost 302.8, this trail guides you through breathtaking landscapes, including dense canopies that open up to dramatic vistas of Grandfather Mountain, the Linn Cove Viaduct, and beyond. Remember to stay on the boardwalk to protect the delicate and ancient ecosystem thriving here.
From the trailhead, follow the trail climbing up the stairs, turn left when you reach the fork in the trail, follow the bridge across Wilson Creek, and continue to follow the rocky path to the top. You can stay at the boardwalk or continue to go farther up the trail.
