Today's adventure takes us to Lemont, Illinois and an area rich in history and alleged paranormal activity. This area goes back hundreds of years when the Native Americans used this bluff as a lookout. Now, the oldest church in the Chicago archdiocese sits atop the bluff overlooking this incredible cemetery. Come join me as we explore this wonderful old cemetery.

Timothy Carroll & Mary Linnehan are my great grandparents. Our homestead was at the bottom of the hill (Carroll’s Corner). I have a lot of family history here. My great father and great uncle used to dig the pauper graves. My family donated the original arch. Our name and the date was on the back of the original arch. I remember this from when I was a kid. It was cement. My grandmother and aunt were the last buried in the large Carroll plot though their names are not on our stone. I have a lot of relatives throughout the cemetery. Family picnics were spent here when my Dad was a kid.

Recent subscriber here. I'm enjoying your videos. The tree trunk monuments are Woodmen of the World markers. Woodmen of the World was a fraternal organization similar to modern day Lions clubs, etc. Members' graves were denoted with tree trunk monuments. You can sometimes find the organization name on them somewhere, although it's often pretty inconspicuous. TFS~ Betty

Enjoy your videos, but when you do cemetery's could you please pause on the headstones long enough to read them so we can see the names. Just because you can't read it doesn't mean others are not able to read them as well. Thank you.

That's a wasps nest, not a bee hive.

Why do bees hang out in cemeteries? That would be fascinating to find out

That's interesting about the gimble 🤔... at least the phone didnt start to vibrate like the other day... that was a trippy, yet unsettling effect 😖😢

A powerful flashlight will light up the letters on the tombstones. Should make the names more readable.
