This was fun, thanks for the great video and sharing your memories. In 2016 I lost my wife, so to lighten the mood I took our little daughter to go see some places her mom and I used to go before she was born. One place was a mini golf course, and I hadn't been there in over 9 years. We got there to find it abandoned, and what was supposed to be a happy memory ended up really being painful, seeing this place gone, and remembering all the times my wife and I used to go there. Cherish what you have, enjoy the moment, because you never know when one day it is all just gone.
I played golf here and at the one at Crossroads years ago. Still have some pics from those times. I know times and things do change, but it makes me sad to see so many places I knew from years ago, closed up and gone for one reason or another. Thanks for showing this.
Great video! Thanks for the documentation! Me and my family have played there and have fond memories. Sad to see it rotting away, but that is the life and death (or as you ounce called it: the curse) of 192! 🤙
Make me sad😢😢 that mini golf just left to rot. Looks like it was a really nice one in its hay day. All the work and detail on the theming is on point !!! Thanks for sharing those photos ❤❤❤
Would LOVE to see this abandoned Pirates River Golf in its full regalia, if you have any pics or vids or sites where they can be seen when people actually played what looks to be a wonderfully themed mini golf, which our family has been addicted to since we were little kids in the 1960',,s!!! I cant believe no one has purchased some of that ambience a long with that awesome pirate ship tgat is STILL in excellent condition to put on their farm property or to use in a haunt or a playground or at a roadside attraction ir fruit/veggie stand!!! I truly hope someone comes along n saves some of these Great eclectic pueces of American pop culture n art!!! Great find!!! Attaboy, Adam the Woo!!!
My summers as a child in the 80's consited of my dad driving me around Kissimmee running errands and going places. Great memories of those MiniGolf locations. Spent many hours having fun there. That area is so great.
We still have the Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival every May/June up here in Fort Walton Beach! They don't do the midnight run anymore but they do have a run sometime during the weekend of the festival. Also the Northwest Florida Track Club is still totally a thing. Love that blast from the past!
@@johnbartholf777 ok if you say so lol. I have no idea why the original creators of this event, which started in the 70’s or earlier, decided to use Billy. It’s local lore and legend not extremely factual.
Good morning Adam 😊🌞 thanks for sharing the job you used to work at. It's something to look back on and the adventures you take us on to watch. Lol thanks again for sharing this.stay awesome 😎👍📸🎃
Billy Bowlegs was a Seminole leader. Or at least that's the one I know which would make sense for that area? Some of the Seminoles came to Oklahoma and there is a town named after him named Bowlegs.
I love miniature golf, over regular sized golf, obviously I'm not a golfer. Santa Cruz Boardwalk has a cool Pirate themed miniature golf. You should have brought a putter and a ball. :)
Am sure the place must of been beautiful at one time. Too bad it was left in such a state. Think if they would have had other adventures (water park, etc), they might have survived. Love your guiding us all through properties and trying to figure out what they were ...
Great video. Happy to see you doing exploration videos again. You need to replace the mechanical hard drive on your camera with a solid state. You can hear the heads (clicking) on your video.
I’m 41 and just started golfing last year…I’m definitely not good, but I enjoy it! Golf is one of those things I feel you can start doing at any age! Great video Adam!
Thanks for including those photos at the end, really enjoy you bring us back to your past time, always try to watch your videos from time to time on my lunch break. Thanks again.
Adam the Woo at his finest! I can’t believe Kissimmee has just left that there all this time! Very interesting stuff my friend. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻🤘
Wow😯 who knew that abandon mini golf courses could be so sketchy! At first when you kinda jumped and questioned the tin foil. I just thought you were going to say something about the Mothership. 🛸 But after the lady said what she did I understood why you were behaving that way. Thanks for showing us.🙂 Now don't go back.😬 Thank you also for sharing your throwback pictures shovel rain.🤣🤣🤣 Have a good day.👍🏻👍🏻🍁🎃🍂🍁🍂🎃🍁👋🏼
There is a RU-vid Couple that does Mini Golf Videos on their channel and I think they played this course a few years ago. They would *super sad* to see this being abandoned and overgrown. Bring on the bulldozers and treasure seekers .⛳🏴☠🦜BTW playing Mini Golf is so much fun and great way to channel your inner *Tiger Woods.*
Adam it was like a trip down memory lane like the old days with some good old abandon goodness and yes I just like you love to explore the unknown not knowing what is out there but in all honesty from back in the day till now I have always worried that each time you explored an abandoned place that something might happen to you but thank god nothing did and your still here today putting out amazing videos so I will say this was a fun day exploring the unknown, now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Adam and I’ll see you on the next awesome vlog adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
Adam, liking the latest videos. This is where you are at your best in my opinion. Plenty of people doing major theme park content. I was in high school in the Orlando area during the late 80's and it seemed there were a bunch of these similarly themed mini-golf places. I think I also remember one called Pirate's Cove and another called Congo River. I think I went to most of them at some point.
Wow, that picture of you in the late 90's as you were entering your mid 20's. I had just purchased my first house in '98. That hair in the pic is awesome, looks like it had a bit of "Sun In" sprayed in it back in the day. I remember having to work 2 jobs as well which ate up most of your free time but otherwise being young and carefree was great.
Used to play there all the time adam. Loved the cats that used to call that place home and would always be around. Maybe you might find all the balls I lost in the water!🤣
I went to this one years ago, had alot of fun. Sad to see it in this condition. But last week I was in Orlando and went to Pirates Cove on international drive and it was awesome!! It was like being at this one in it's prime but better! Really good theming!
I TOTALLY agree with your estimation of the sadness of the condition of your life being reduced to watching these videos for fun n entertainment, cuz mine is stalled out on that same SAD railroad track n the station is closed n ALMOST abandoned as well!!!. HELP, maybe from the energy n fascinating impetus generated by these unique n entertaining videos, narrated SO well by these travel vloggers such as the awesome Adam the Woo, will lead us to the crossroads that will put the ol railroad engine right back on the excursion line n send us wildly down the tracks again to re-jump start our flagging lives!!! One can HOPE, cuz , like my Mom used to say, HOPE springs eternal!!! Good luck, Mr. Bash!!!
You should so make your own theme park with as passionate as you are about them. I'd buy a ticket to Wooland ...just saying! And then you can get ric flair to come sign at WooLand! Woo!
I played golf there with my little brother about 10 years ago. Idk what it is but there’s something about playing mini golf while on vacation! Wish it was still open 😢
Love the walk down your memory lane. Pretty sure that one tombstone said Lafitte? Arbys here in Omaha is good. I found a old closed Wendys from the 70s when I was exploring near work.
This was cool. It must've been nice in its heyday. The beginnings of decay seem to be due to nature, rather than deliberate. I'm surprised there aren't No Trespassing signs posted... WOW crushed cars, in the foundation. Memories, Memories, can run the whole gamut of emotions... a really great video, Adam 👏🏻 ⛳️ 🤠👏🏻
These latest videos have been some of the best yet. Back roads, abandoned areas, and condemned buildings. Great. I would've never guessed that was you in that picture. I mean this sincerely , you look better the way you do now. Keep up the good work dude
Love a peek in on a state of these abandoned 192 attractions. Theming here was great. The ship here always reminds me of the Captain Hook galley in Fantasyland at Disneyland WAY back in the day.
I'm a fan of reminiscing myself. In fact, I'm thinking about the 3 or 4 times, while on vacation from Central NY, I've been to El Tenampa restaurant, about a block away from your former workplace. If you're a fan of Mexican, I highly suggest it! I discovered it while it was still a "local joint". It's grown up a bit since then, but food and service still great!
