My only question is WHY. I love the idea. Georgia had a monument of sorts, the Georgia Guide stones. I was planning on visiting it and someone blew it up. Crazy. This place is great. Love to visit. As always keep them coming.

You need to go to JPL in Pasadena where in their Space Flight Operation Facility (SFOF), they have a plaque marking that location as the center of the Universe

Live near here and remembering when they built this. It came from someone buying this land and just deciding they wanted to make something to get tourists to stop. Nothing historical really happened here before, just someone's wild idea...

I been to Los Algodones but never knew this place was one exit away on I-8.

Growing up in Sierra Madre, CA, I always oriented myself by compass points- Arcadia was east, Pasadena was west, etc. I have lived in New York for the past 30 years, and I have noticed a peculiar syndrome, particularly evident on Long Island. Every direction from their physical point is "down". The North Shore is "down", The Hamptons are "down". Manhattan is "down". I have tried to point out that this phenomenon only exists at The North Pole. Further, everything north of the Bronx Whitestone Bridge is "upstate". I can easily understand the "Center of the World" concept.

Here from Joe Rogan. Looks like the document that you must sign is just a certificate that says that you made a wish at the centre of the world. So what's the big catch? Is it like a ritual that they make look trivial but actually has some significance in their "dark arts" or something? It looks just touristy. And I don't think they'll kick you out if you don't do it.
