I'm a prayer guy(intercessor). I know a lady who loved to worship at so many worship events, and pray at so many as well. I often had heard her lament at how her husband wasn't the "spiritual leader" and wouldn't pray with her. She often asked me to pray for him from a man's perspective, and I did. A couple years ago, I heard a different story. Those two had connected better and their worlds had integrated better. Now, she became aware of all the things her man was doing in their community and "how so many people seen him as a spiritual leader and how she should be proud of her husband. and that she had no clue because he wouldn't join her at prayer - at home or in church." she couldn't see, because she couldn't see. Like Erin talks about around minutes 16 in the video, I suggest you ask God to show you His perspective on who your husband is and his leadership value. Maybe this will bring some clarity on how you two are and can continue to work together in leadership of your home. Also. Find the book. The Way Of The Wild Heart, John Eldredge. In that road map to becoming a man, you may find some things to pray into to lay down a path via prayer to help him do even better as a husband and possibly father and as a man. It may help you see him in a different light too. James

@@jamesgoodwin7537 Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I long for that spiritual connection with my husband in prayer. I too have asked other church male friends to pray for my husband. Just like Erin and you said, I will try to focus more on the spiritual things I see him doing more on the things I don't see. Thank you for the book suggestion also.

I was having the same problem with my husband! He knew God but he didn’t want to pray together and I was upset but I didn’t want to pray for him or fast for him! My mistake was saying “well he already knows God”, “ “why should I pray for him?”. I started to pray to the Lord to lift him up as the head and priest of our home and we have been praying together this past weeks and it feels good! I’m thankful to God that he answers when we pray and intercede for our loved ones, he just wants us to pray for them so he can do what he needs to do. God Bless you!
