Exploring the DLC Area EARLY in Pokemon Scarlet Violet 

Half of me wants this but the other half doesnt want kalos to be subjected to just being a dlc or update 😭

I mean with the logic we might as well add in Galar since it's supposed to be England lol but either way looking forward to the DLC

@@dylanjenks6865 not really, Kalos would make more sense as France shares a physical land border with Spain. The United Kingdom is north west of France over the English Channel. Galar would be a bit of a stretch for a DLC whereas Paldea to Kalos should be like going from Kanto to Johto. In the Pokémon world I imagine Paldea to Galar is maybe like going from Kanto to Hoenn or something.

GAMEFREAK needs allow us to visit the Kalos Power Plans.

The Galar DLCs were both based on the UK (Isle of Armor ~ Isle of Man, Crown Tundra ~ Scotland), so I think it’s more likely they’ll do a Spanish/Portuguese territory like Mallorca

I believe there is nothing up there, while yes it’s impossible to get up there I believe, I did look at what seemed to be an empty plateau by climbing one of those weird rocks by the team star base, I couldn’t see very much but what I did see was nothing.

@@karpholmes6942 the higher cliff the Houndoom stands on in the cave. If I recall I went into battle with it, afterwards went through the wall. When you engage a Pokemon your character tends to reposition for the battle like 5 feet back from it. My guess is you do this to position into the wall. I never bothered to try and recreate it.

@@karpholmes6942 I went back to catch houndour when I got my mount, climb and jump ability, I don't think it will be relevant for speedruns, but what happened in the video's glitch basically what happened to me too I fly-ed out the place out of being scared of being trapped in the glitched zone

paldea is not connected to kalos. kalos is just north of French. the region between paldea and kalos correspond to real life old Aquitaine kingdom that is the south part of modern France. there can be a new region and can be featured on the dlc. or the dlc will be set on islands like Menorca Majorca or even the canaries...

Yeah and the possibility is that they'd have to mix megas and teras. Too chaotic.

Battle the actual Sada /Turo new paradox, new third legendary, a least 2 new legendary paradox, hints to Kalos feeling out some lore we missed from the missed Z version.

I hope we don't see the professor again, the character arc was perfect.

@@sandgrunge The actual Sada/Turo is dead so we can’t battle them especially since if we were to travel back in time it could only be a few years which nobody would care too much about but we’re probably travelling back to Koraidons age

Yes, the lore in S/V has so much potential - the base game I feel barely scratched the surface!

The Time machine would need to be back in order for that. So far, the ending of "the way home" shows us that the time machine was fully turned off and stopped. What could enable time travel is the returning other parent of Arven, since they were part of the original research team of Turo/Sada, before Arven was born, they may know a thing or two about the time machine, or possess another scarlet/violet book with the Prof's ID.

@@denimflare Yep, I like that. I really do hope they put some effort into the DLC as the story has so many implications. Why paradox and Roaring Moon canon lore clearly states they existed in the presense of Mega Evolution and that someone recorded this.

@@jotwins8610 Mh I actually rewatched the pictures and I don't think that the Proto-beast features anything Raikou related besides the paws so I could see something like. In terms of the "Virizion", it's mostly Cobalium and Terrakium and only the face (could also be Cobalium) and those 2 petals on the neck are Virizion. Proto-Beast Type: Water/Fire Ability: Thunder Walker boosts the power of the user's Electric-type moves by 50%. Meta-Musketeer Type: Steel/Rock Ability: Green Oasis boosts the power of the user's Grass-type moves by 50% I would actually count those two as contrasts. The wild but beautiful past gets terrorised by nature forces while the hard and dirty future get's some green patches to remember nature.

It’s good but I wish they kept older shiny hunting methods other than the new picnic or town method like a daycare building or a safari area would have been cool let’s just hope in DLC if it’s Kalos they add a safari or daycare zone

Southern Kalos is shown to be Mountainous

What I’m thinking is that we’ll get a mini Andorra Region, since it just so happens to be smack dab in the border and has some interesting history behind it without being fully Kalos.

@Chelsie Waite yes. I do this to get better outbreaks. I gave the info to Warlord Adventures, and they're making a video for it. They were able to figure out how it works and even some other places to go for interesting results. With the new flying glitch, they were able to get further out into the zone on their stream last night.

It's because the region is based on Spain, and that bit is where it connects to france, so it can't be surrounded by ocean.

@@GoldenSunAlex And while that's true in our world, the Pokemon world has definitely taken liberties before. Even in Galar, that's an upside down UK, so the geography isn't exact there either. I'm not definitely saying it won't be a DLC area, just saying it's possible it might be something else

The game seems to consider it to be in the North Providence, so the eggs will likely say they're from there

Introducing Dive would be such a perfect way to integrate new DLC without extending the map. Even if it was only specific spots you could interact with while on a Don to dive down in premade areas with a load screen. I hope DLC introduces actual Flying (Maybe including a sky island(s)), and another could do Diving with undersea features and water caves. another DLC could introduce Tunneling, bringing back an "Underground" mechanic and/or Secret Bases. Each update adds unobtainable pokemon. Flying = The Soaring Wing Titan -> Fearow or Pidgeot. Diving = The Lurking Deep Titan -> Huntail or Mantine. Tunneling = The Earthen Den Titan -> Ursaluna or Excadrill. Introduces Hisuian pokemon via underground tera crystals preserving ancestral pokemon as well as fossils for all fossil pokemon, and maybe two new fossil pokemon for the generation.

You and me both I'd give anything for that to happen. Colloseum was the first Pokemon game I ever played and so seeing the Orre region get some love would be absolutely amazing

That wouldn't exactly be possible unless you were near the area itself when having performance issues (and lets be real, performance issues are everywhere in every part of the game), as the way the game renders everything (pokemon, items, shadows, reflections, light, raids) is in a somewhat large radius around the player. This is the reason why running back and forth "spawns" and "despawns" pokemon allowing us to shiny hunt. Essentially, if this was the cause of performance issues, it would have to render everything at once all the time to be the case.

If that isn't true then the games are going to run much worse when the DLC comes out

Even if they were, odds are the performance impact would be negligible. The game loads far off geometry sure but generally would be extremely low poly, non intensive geometry and ofc with no Pokemon spawning too far away, as well as items and shit. Only performance issue (unless GF 'really' fucked something up) would crop up if you're within the general area of the DLC area.

Most people will pay for it.

@@mneri84 $30 would be highly annoying though. It would need a very exclusive (semi) busted Mythical aswell to tempt me and also Performance improvements.

@@leonardofarias8843 Yep but that said, even with a fuller base game We would have inevitably got DLC anyway. There's still _so_ much potential with this game; moreso than Sun/Moon who needed full sequels to bring out more from it's Main story.

Possibly but it's more likely to be Portugal simply because of the shape of it

It may be both, dlc and Kalos, because Kalos doesnt go all the way down there it ends in some mountains and is just the top part of france

@@wervrcz It's possible but I think it's unlikely. I can't see GameFreak building a whole new open world version of Kalos just for the DLC. From an software perspective, if they did, it likely wouldn't be where those cliffs are now, it would be a whole new map that you would likely have to take a flying taxi too as they won't be able to load in both open world meshes at the same time; they can barely load the one they have.

@@maxtaylor3531 I dont mean the whole Kalos, just a part of it, and it could be accessible through flying taxi or something like that by keeping those mountains, just adding a story to lead you there. But to know how it truly is, we just have to wait

If UB's or Mega's come back, I'll probably faint lol. UB's are very likely as it's an easy add-on, ties in with the Space theme running through the games and an easy fix for Geeta's and even Clavell's teams.

Yeah Megas aren't returning till XY remakes...and if they get to be on the same engine as probably Gen 12, then they'll swap Megas with Gen 12 gimmick. They seem to hate the megas, even has been removed from Anime. From April 2023, no more megas will be shown. They want people to forget that megas even existed...though Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant say otherwise. Specially Roaring Moon's dex entry.
