In this video we explore the remains of Bodie Ghost Town. There are still many standing structures here with lots of original stuff and lots of History.
First trip to Bodie was in 1956 with the Boy Scouts. That '37-38 Chev. Coupe was blue then and had Nev. license plates. You could go into buildings then but there was a Guard who drove around with Guard painted on his Model A door. He wore a .45 revolver and chased you out. Ella Cain wrote a book on her life there and sold it in the school house. I bought an autographed copy, had it for years and loaned it out, never got it back. Good video, great that you spend time showing things others don't bother.
I will make it a point to go see Bodie. You have a really nice camera, takes awesome pictures. By the way, that is an organ, not a piano, in the church. Thanks for the ride thru town.

I’ve been there probably 4-5 times in my life we use to hunt around there. And just shoot targets as your coming into bodie. And fish the river just before the turn off. I wish they would let you camp there so you could walk the town at night? I think that would be a neat experience! Don Los Angeles California
My ancestors came to that area from Illinois. Gold was the driving force . Ive got photos of that place from my family . I still have yet to make it out there.
