she was lucky to say that with no consequence. the appropriate response would be because we love making music. they should be happy that they got to be a part of one of the biggest girl groups in american at the time. members like lauren are extremely ungrateful. the public picked camila as their favorite so she got promoted. its all business. nothing personal.
@@GotoMaki4Micah You are incredibly condescending. A lawyer who reviewed the contracts of all the girls EXCEPT Camila stated it was one of the worst they have ever seen. You clearly have zero clue about entertainment law. There are clips of Lauren crying about how overworked they were. They were young girls for crying out loud. Singers also get PENNIES if they aren’t writing or producing the song. And because they were signed as young girls, the industry was able to exploit them. People like you are why the industry continue to harm others because you blame the victims of the system that you have zero influence or experience in. Camila had an exclusive contact which is why she was able to record her own music outside of the group. There is reason to suspect the remaining four are locked into bogus contracts which is why they can’t release music (especially Normani who is signed to RCA).
@@GotoMaki4Micah she was literally being abused 💀 y'all always talk shit about her when she has been very open about how being in the group destroyed her mental health
That’s the main reason why they broke up they wanted to make it seem like it was because the girls supposedly couldn’t get along but that’s far from the truth
The biggest issue with these groups formed on X Factor is that they all originally wanted to be soloists. They auditioned as solo acts and were thrown in a group together. It isn’t as shocking as people make it out to be that all these groups ended up going astray as the attention and creative direction they originally wanted for themselves suddenly was split with all these other people. Mix that with some unhealthy competition and popularity differences between members, it’s not surprising these groups didn’t last long.
As someone who wasn’t a fan, looking at their these performance clips, yes, they look like solo artist doing a collab, or like they’re all trying to be the star of the group.
I am not a fan of Fifth Harmony but they give me the vibes of the imaginary girl band you put together with your friends in Elementary school that ends with someone crying over hurt feelings. But like the adult version lol
I will never forget that when fifth harmony was doing their reflection tour, my best friend won four tickets to see them and we were all so excited, then she won another four, and another, and then her sister won four, and turns out the radio station was basically just giving them away
I watched them 4 years ago, after Camila left. So at that time 5H only has 4 members. It was so good, just the area where the concert held was a little bit empty, tho the price is quite affordable. But nevertheless the girls are giving their best, also Normani's mom was waved at me and people on my section, she is so nice
They seem like that one group of girls who say their "friends" but constantly say passive aggressive things to each other, give rude looks to each other, and talk the most amount of crap about each other. Then when people question them they just say "that's our way of showing love" or "we just joke like that"
They really weren’t though. They have many, many genuine moments in comparison to “shady” ones. The weirdest thing about 5H is that people talk about them like most of them weren’t teenagers for near the entire group. They occasionally worked each other’s nerves but for the most part got along (and still do). Even the actual dynamics of their breakup with Camila are very unspectacular. They didn’t even split because of personal reasons so it’s funny that their relationships with each other get so critically analyzed especially since they (specifically Camila, Lauren, Normani, and Dinah) still interact semi-often online like friends would.
@@iosashes2087 do you know them well enough to say all this though? lol. if you watched them from the start, they all obviously wanted to be solo artists but were forced to work together, consequently a LOT of their “friendly” scenes were clearly forced and scripted as well. no one becomes close enough to be hanging all over each other & laughing within a week, and yet that’s what the drama-singing shows want us to believe. celebrities aren’t friends, they’re people doing their jobs. 5H makes that very obvious with the competitive singing over each other & petty looks
They radiate 2014 vibes in both the worst and best ways possible...but knowing that the girls were actually dealing with a lot of SA and other shit is very heartbreaking
I don't think they meant actual SA (at least from what I know). I think they mean the girls were getting very heavily sexualized when they were still like 16-17 (Camila legit had to sing "I like it a little rough" when she was 17 💀)
I saw Ally on her first solo tour in 2020 RIGHT before the pandemic hit. I wasn’t even a fan before that, went with a friend. Honestly she killed it with the dancing and vocals. It’s super disappointing that her potential solo career was stifled because of the pandemic :(
Lauren saying on a live morning show for people to read their contracts before signing them and Ally laughing loudly to cover it up will never leave my brain.
Didn’t really care for Camilla leaving the group, that was the best thing she ever did. Because it make the group a lot better without her, that’s just my opinion.
I feel like their label used them more as a cash grab then trying to make them a legitimate girl group. They literally worked for 4 years straight with no breaks.
If I ran a girl group, I'd let them have time for themselves, let them craft their own style of sound for the band, and allow them to record solo albums.
I just remember being in midde school and going on Twitter to read fans arguing who's better Little Mix or Fifth Harmony - there were litteral death threats and everyone fighting was max 15
I think their songs that weren't released for like album play or whatever you call it (like music for movies, commericals etc) are their best bcs it's under a different company and theres equal line distribution and they actually get to explore their vocal ranges unlike under Syco where it's camila singing 90% of the lines and theyre stuck in like one octave.
Genuinely impressed you managed to dodge camren completely in this video. Like for me that ship caused like 75% of the messiness surrounding the fandom lol
The chaos and absolute bafoonery that surrounded Fifth Harmony was iconic. Like Lauren being the grammar police, but trying to convince Normani and Camila that the word 'clothes' is singular; Normani's voice-crack shocking her and apologizing to the audience mid-song - and don't get me started on "Camren" 😭💀
Syco 100% designed 5H with only Camila's solo career in mind. They got a bunch of impressionable teen girls to act oversexualised on stage for a few years in the most boring pre-packaged group until Camila felt ready to launch herself. They even began introducing Camila to solo press and solo recording opportunities way before the others, and that bred hostility amongst the group because it was obvious what was happening. The Taylor Swift friendship only extended to Camila as well, it was all about establishing her and as soon as she left it was just about winding them down. Cowell probably wanted to do the same with 1D and Harry but the boys were much more aware earlier on and fought back hard against their control. Cowell has no attention span or care for his acts long term, he invests for 2-3 years max then either drops, shelves or is already busy with whatever act has popped out of the X Factor(y) mill this season. XF acts that succeed do so in spite of Simon Cowell, not because of him. He also binds them in 10 year contracts that say they can never criticise him or XF either forever or until years down the line. Same happened with Leona Lewis.
I know this is a super old comment but just wanted to add Simon attempted the exact same thing with Little Mix too. In the early days Perrie kept getting pushed front and centre and she wasn't happy about that because she wanted them all to shine as a group. I think that was a sentiment carried right through to the end, even with Jesy.
Do I have 3 papers due this week? Yes. Should I be working on them? Yes. Did I drop everything to watch this immediately? Absolutely, without a shred of doubt and/or regret.
I graduated decades ago. You’re simply shedding inefficiencies now, while your brain is processing and preparing for yet another spectacular performance. Nothing like a good dose of procrastination to get those fires really stoked. Just don’t forget to set a ‘now or never’ alarm. Learn from my mistake. 😂
they have talked about the fact that their label made them compete all the time. they would create drama between the girls so they’d get the “best” out of them.
yeah, they'd make them compete for every solo and always gave the most solos to camila. they also overworked them with a million performances yet barely gave them any vocal training or choreography practice. one time one of them said they literally got like one or two choreography lessons before having to perform the song.
it happens in most of these girlbands boybands. As kids they all wanted to be solo superstars. They just joined a group as a way to get famous. But eventually only one or two can be the breakout stars and it leaves a sour taste with the others.
My personal fave moments: lauren getting arrested, the like mariah dance break, normani in the wig, lauren constantly telling people to read their contracts, ally rapping, the vamps situation, basically everything from the takeovers, and of course that edit of camila getting shot and lauren going "camz?"
This video has truly opened my eyes bc I do NOT remember them being this bad at all💀also a huge controversy back in this era was when Camila was an 'honorary member' of Taylor Swift's squad days. 5H stans couldn't stand Taylor bc they hated the way she kept Camila away from the girls💀
I also cringe looking back at Taylor's 1989 era (due to her lifestyle, not the music ❤️), as my brother called me out on idolizing someone who is hanging out with VS models and celebs etc, like unrelatable much? 🙄 But did they really hate on CC for that? Wow 😳. Thank god, cz that's why we got "i know what you did last summer" though. 👏
@@NoCommonSense9 LOL, exactly. But what is making me laugh so hard is why would I ever be able to relate to a beautiful, rich, talented woman? Like pleaseeeee lmfao she was never going to be relatable
The entire problem with these five group of girls is they started out competing with each other to be soloists... And unlike the other groups that were put together... They stayed competing with each other even after they were a group... From Khloe Kardashian or whoever it was that made the Demi Lovato say that her favorite was Camilla... pretty much the way everyone handled them they were in competition from day one and never stopped... Same with danity Kane...
adore this, but are we ignoring the fact that they were on barbie life in the dream house? and that they were confirmed to be some of barbie’s best friends? and then mattel turned them into actual dolls.
It’s crazy how Demi said Camilla is the only one who shines. My eyes would go STRAIGHT to Normani’s dancing and stage presence every time. she ate everybody UP
@@leni2391 No, you love all five of the girls. You think about them in the summertime and all the good times you had, baby! Been a few years and you can't deny - the thought of them still makes you crazy!
I loved fifth harmony in a weird way where I didn't like 90% of their discography, but still knew they were all extremely talented and would defend them to anyone who said anything bad about them
Casey Aonso talking about Fifth Harmony is something I never knew I wanted but when it came out, I knew I needed it! I’m excited to see you talk about them since they were once one of my favorites back then!
This was after the breakup I think, but my fave moment is when Shawn Mendez and Camilla were on tour and singing ‘I Know What you did Last Summer’ and her mic was off. Still gets me to this day
we need to address how cursed Worth It was as a song and how they had to retcon the lyrics after making Camila (who was 15/16 at the time) sing about "liking it rough"
True, I remember Camila once said that she got that "dirty" line of the song because she didn't want to wear the revealing outfit the team got for her.
the chokehold these girls had on me through middle & high school…i literally used to run a fifth harmony stan account, probably spent thousands of dollars on merch/concert tickets, and even won contests to meet Lauren and Camila when they were doing radio promo for WFH. this video brought back all of the chaotic memories of being a harmonizer also i was so hoping you’d talk about their meet & greet pics from the 7/27 tour where Camila would stand like 5 feet apart from the rest of the girls lmao she was not trying to hide the fact that she wanted to go solo
i met them during the 7/27 tour & camila just stared at me when i talked to her & just stood with her arms crossed 5 feet away from the rest of us in my photo lmao
With what the ex members have said now that Fifth Harmony broke up, and in overall how they acted during their career, I think it's very likely that someone, or several someones, in their management kept *actually* pitting the girls against each other. When you work with each other for years, you're bound to have at least some sort of relationship, whether it's acquaintances or friends. Those girls were barely acting like a team, and I'm pretty sure that their management played into that by a lot.
It might not be management. Women that pretty in group hardly get along. Smile in face then talking worse behind ya back.nuff drama .there reason only one queen bee in hive
@@andersonweir11 Counter argument: All the other successful girl groups. Women "that pretty" often can and will get along within a group, because they don't really have a choice. Fifth Harmony is an exception, not the standard.
@@andersonweir11that’s… kinda misogynistic. It’s weird that you automatically assume that about a group of pretty women. Also it was revealed in ally’s podcast that the management *did* pit them against each other to get the best out of them.
Ally mentions in her podcast that they actually really were pitted against each other for parts in their songs. I recommend anyone listen to it.. it’s surprising! I was a die hard fan 😅traveled over seas to see em and always supported from the start. But yeah they were a mess LOLLL. I don’t think it was easy to be in that group
not surprising i remember i think dinah said it in a video they record songs together bc the music producer wants them to "audition" for parts of the song. so all day theyre all just sitting there waiting for the other to finish and if u didnt attend then u get cutt off the song. it was part reason im confused ppl hate on camila for "hogging" the best parts when honestly it was music producers who choose
I went to the 5H tour in Costa Rica after Camila left because we got crazy cheap tickets and let me tell you my brain doesn't want to believe it so its a suppressed memory. Not too far into the show they let everybody be right in front of the stage because there was not enough people. The highlight is that I was able to see Normani in person, even though my favorite was Lauren, Normani won me over that day.
@@chelseanino3654honestly I’ve never listened to Fifth Harmony in my life and I’m not exactly what I would consider normal, so y’all aren’t exactly missing out. At least y’all had fun!
i got into fifth harmony in 2015 but became a stan in 2017 and that was probably the WORST time to be a harmonizer. the group couldn’t catch a break because literally EVERYBODY and i mean EVERYBODY HATED THEM. the amount of videos that went viral abt “them bullying camila” or “5h shading each other” is the reason ppl believe they hate each other.
I got into fifth harmony in 2014 (age10) and became a big fan in 2015, and was OBSESSED with them between 2015-2018, overall actually a pretty good timeline in my opinion. I was also obsessed with Camila’s solo stuff between 2017-2020 but now a lot of her songs seem mediocre in my opinion
I became a harmonizer in their XFactor days and then stopped being a fan probably after Camila left. Because they started being super shady and I didn’t vibe with it. Now I see how shitty they were to each other the entire time. I was also a Mixer (Little Mix) fan during it too so I just switched full time to them.
I was a dedicated and die hard Harmonzier. The girls are truly the sweetest, did develop a genuine friendship along the way. You can’t blame 5 young teen girls for taking the first step in a music career, joining a girl group. They took advantage of an amazing opportunity, but were unfortunately treated like shit by label/management. Constantly touring, rarely any breaks, with no proper salary or sense of security. (READ Ally Brooke’s book “Finding Your Harmony”, it’s SO GOOD). I don’t ever believe the girls fall out were amongst themselves, I feel like years of being worked like dogs and possible mental abuse drove the apart to really pursue their solo careers, like when Camila jumped ship. But all those times they did sing together, laugh together, and just enjoyed being a girl group were so fun to be apart of. I love all the girls equally still, I will always root for them❤️
The craziest part is they really had so much potential to dominate as a girl group. I really believe someone was setting them up to fail, and their only way out was to act messy af
@Crazy Kid I never understood this argument that Demi installed this competition in them, and what she did was say that they needed to connect and become a real group because it seemed like only camila stood out. This shows from the beginning that the people behind them made no effort to show them together and in the same way. What didn't happen with Little Mix, who had this notion probably by themselves but they wanted to show a united front, while for the 5H managers it was enough for them to be present and do what they were told. Ps: Sorry i don't speak english
@Crazy Kid Demi didn't do shit, lets not make it seem like demi was the reason fifth harmony members were jealous of camilla or whatever. Don't speak on my girl demi like that 😒
I love fifth harmony. They are all talented women and they had some great songs. Unfortunately they were victims of a bad label and management, and I think that is why they had so many messy moments. But they’ve definitely marked their place in history as the biggest girl group of the 2010s and one of the most popular girl groups in America.
“Biggest girl group of the 2010s” they are barely known outside of America, their albums never sold well and neither did their tours. They had 2 hit singles and are known for being messy
As an European I disagree. Yes they're only known for only two songs but those two songs are still bigger than anything by little mix or any gg that came after then
My sister and I saw Cher Lloyd front row in 2013, and fifth harmony opened up for her. When I tell you Fifth Harmony was the most chaotic show I’ve ever seen💀 don’t get me wrong they sounded like angels but it was everything you described in this video. And shout out to Cher. she was beyond robbed in the music industry… great performer. Also I need a little mix video from you STAT.
@@Macee44 yep! i heard the phrase a lot growing up and had no idea what it was based on, so i am glad someone told me and i try to pass the info along! ❤️
Cher Lloyd is underratingly iconic. She doesn't get enligh attention. Granted, she hasn't come out with new music in a hot minute. She had potential for a really successful music career and amazing growth as an artist. Still waiting for a solid comeback from her.
This is so strange to me that she started in Xfactor UK but I think she only dropped 1 or 2 songs here that didn't get much promo. I randomly heard a song of hers on a Canadian TV show a few years later and that was the first time I realised Cher Lloyd had a whole career over seas that we didn't know about. The same thing happened with Leona Lewis. She released 'bleeding love' here and maybe 1 other song, and then disappeared. I don't remember how I found out about her career but I remember being confused. (these were obviously the times before people used social media for marketing)
as a little mix stan i was very far removed from all the 5H drama so i'm absolutely living for this deep dive. (also i was so mad when they came in 3rd and not emblem 3 LOL)
2 года назад
Same. I remember watching the season they were on but I don’t remember anything after.
@ i think it was the honestly the only season of xfactor US i watched.. but it was a good one. i'm still a bea miller fan and she and carly rose are still friends!
I wanna point out that a lot of their “out of sync” dancing is because they’re all such different sizes and shapes. Most girl groups get girls of similar heights and weights on purpose so that they’ll look more cohesive. There’s a 9 inch height difference between the shortest and tallest 5H members and all of them have very different body types so even doing the same moves the same way looked very different girl to girl. That’s why Lauren is killing it when the focus is only on her but when it’s on all of them it looks messy. Normani and Dinah for example were the best dancers, but also had the most similar body types (taller and curvier than the others) so they always looked more in sync compared to the other 3.
That was one thing about 5H that always threw me off. Even in their music videos, the choreography was weird because they all had such different body types.
@@35thrat Not an equivalent comparison. There was TWELVE of them and they’re all of the same background and have similar body types. The shortest 5H member was 4’11 and the tallest 5’8 with only 5 and eventually 4 girls. To add to it, most 5H members can be described with dramatically polar opposite qualities. The big blonde and the little blonde (Dinah and Ally), the thin brunette and the thick brunette (Camila and Lauren), the dark skinned girl and the pale skinned girl (Normani and Lauren), etc. The girls had vastly different skin colors, hair colors, hairstyles, hair textures, heights, weights, shapes, everything…which is not something you find in most groups. The dramatic differences in their appearances even went beyond that. Dinah is 4 months younger than Camila and looked like she was in her mid-20s despite being a teenager the entire group while Camila looked barely 15/16 at 19 years old. And personally I liked how different each member was. That’s what made them interesting and enjoyable to me. But to pretend it was all their fault for looking “out of sync” sometimes when even just visually they were chaotic is disingenuous.
I think their last album, their self title was okay. I just think they didn’t get the love and recognition, that they deserved after Camila left the group. I feel like the reason for intention for lack of popularity, is between the remainder members of the group and Camila. I feel like Camila fans like bashing the group, because now Camila was the most focus and become solo artist.
I was a fan, but their styles were too different. Their solo careers suit them so much more than 5H (and I say that as someone who still loves their 7/27 album). It's a shame that their solo stuff didn't get any attention, now they barely release anything and we haven't seen an album from any of the 4. Camila's the only one who got a career boost, and I'm glad she has enough recognition and popularity that she can stray away from "pop" and do latin music.
Normani had that huge hit with Khalid in 2018, a song with Sam smith in 2019, and a sing with cardi b a year ago. She’s done well as a feature artist since their split
I think what really set the tone for this was how the judges on The X Factor pinned them against each other by constantly favouring a new member each performance. Rather than giving constructive feedback was basically saying all but one sounded good. That would really set a competitive tone for the rest of their career.
@AbsentDay yeah exactly, the fact that they formed such a competitive environment for them and other groups is just insane and can really harm their confidence
That’s My Girl legit got me through my behind the wheel driving test after failing twice before. I deal with abysmal self-esteem and tend to self-sabotage with overthinking, so having a familiar song on loop in my head kept me focused on the test lol. I passed. I’ve never been a Fifth Harmony fan, but that song will always have a special place in my heart.
Scared of Happy has made me cry, I Lied has made me cry, Leave My Heart Out Of This has made my bawl, this group meant so much to me during my formative years
I was never a Harmonizer (I’ve been in the kpop trenches since 2012) so this video was like getting a glimpse into a different universe LMAOOO I live for messy deep dives like this!! Fandom culture is so wild no matter who you stan. I could write a novel about all the shit that went down between various kpop fandoms in the 2010’s akdjdjskak. Great video as always!
I liked they’re last album as a 4some, it was more r&b, more mature and they wrote songs on that one. Good thing ally got a lawyer and they have the rights to the fifth harmony name and brand.
Wow that's impressive! Ally's smart, she's probably foreseeing a comeback after pop groups before 5H had their comebacks too and had trouble with their name.
The biggest problem with 5h was... Simon Cowell. He never let Little Mix become big in the US even though they were the much better group. He wanted 5h to be that in US. But I also feel sorry for them, they've been pressured into doing so many things they clearly didn't want to do and got hate for it anyway.
@@EnchantedTooWelli guess the idea is that there tends to be only one big girl group and boy group in western markets, and any others are either older acts with a legacy status or theyre copycats of the recent acts. so putting little mix and 5h in the same market would mean ur competing with urself
honestly sometimes i do miss them because stanning them was fun lmao. also their ep in spanish will forever be in my heart and i'll always know their lyrics to EVERY song.
It always felt like they were five soloists forced into a group. I did enjoy a few of their songs in high school. But they weren't massive in my high school since Bigbang, Girls Generation, Super Junior and 2ne1 were mostly the main groups talked about.
i wish this was an hour long, you could make a whole retrospective of their "rise" and fall, they were just so entertaining and messy. what singlehandedly got me into them was that one interview where camila was talking about taylor swift and they were all practically rolling their eyes. i thought their music was mostly garbage and they were awful performers but that was part of the fun. there was a headline every week of the 7/27 era that was just them being a trainwreck of a group, just constant entertainment & memes. RIP
That moment when you remember that they originally were about to named Lylas but changed it to Fifth Harmony after Bruno Mars' sisters claimed they stole their group name... Should have probably seen that as the perfect foreshadowing for the insanity that was to come.
i became a bit of a fan of theirs around the 7/27 era and i thought they were what they portrayed themselves to be: a unified girl group who cared about each other like a sisterhood. but once camilla left the group, it became clear thats not what they were. looking back, you can see the cracks that existed. when you look at little mix, they always coordinated and stood together strong but with 5h, there was almost never coordination and the way they posed was like they didnt wanna stand too close cause they wanted that solo picture for instagram. i think they did genuinely care about each other at some point, but ambitions, differences and management tore them apart.
That clip of Dinah flipping the stool is from 3 years ago, not a group era. She was on a solo tour and caught a cold halfway through the tour. It’s kinda hilariously unfair that she’s the one with the most viral vocal fail considering she was the best singer in the group. She carried their last album era ON HER BACK.
as someone who was part of their fandom on tumblr from 2012 to 2017 I can confirm that it was madness lmao we would never go by a single week without drama happening. these girls went through a lot just from the things that we are aware of, behind the scene was a lot worse. epic records made sure of it.
pleaseeeee a part two! Ally was totally carrying the comedy aspect with her 5h takeovers i feel like in retrospect ally was probably the only one who went outside of the assigned contracts to please fans lmaoo
I think other unforgettable messiness was the Laurmani ship and other ships, THE HOURS of shady moments footage, Down being the lead single for self-titled (we tried so hard to defend it), and the Spanish versions of Better Together EP. Also on another note, seeing in real time the amount of antiblackness Normani experienced from Camila fans/fans in general was disturbing.
wasnt the girl who literally made normani leave twitter was her own fan? she apologized and left twt. she said she made a fake camila acc bc she wanted hate for camila (bc shes the most famous in the group at that time) and didnt realize normani would see it like literally i was there when it all went down. also the fact there r vids of 2013 harmonizers ignoring mani while hugging the rest of the girls during meet and greets so fvcked up. honestly looking back here as an OG fan seeing how the truths was twist is crazy. harmonizers are truly the worst ppl in the internet
I remember on the day of the reflections album release I not only bought the album on iTunes, but forced my mother to drive me an hour to the nearest target so I could also buy the physical CD. I still have it.
Little Mix will always be the best girl group in the world because they are so in sync. What’s crazy is that Little Mix and Fifth Harmony were under the same management.
Yeah it’s crazy, but it all has to do with who their label favoured. In this case it was FH. The only reason LM aren’t as bis as FH is that their label didn’t really care about them, since they always stood for woman empowerment and never let themselves get sexualised by their label. Jade even said in an interview once, that someone from their management or label, I can’ remember, told the girls to flirt with older men to get their songs played on the radio. FH on the other hand, never really stood for those things and they let themselves get sexualised (not shaming them though, since they were super young when they started together). I mean you only have to listen to songs like “Work from Home” or “Worth it”.
@@franciscomarcelino3436 It sucks because a Little Mix is literally the strongest group one of the best girl groups to ever exist. the powerful vocals, synchronized choreography and the amazing message in the music, and the fact that they didn’t blow up in America is insane to me. I think they were way too much for America, they would’ve overwhelmed the market. In my humble opinion they should’ve gotten success One Direction did. But unfortunately you can’t beat fan girls that’s find boys “cute”
@@heavymetalkendra you’re so right on so many levels omg. For me LM also deserved the fame One Direction or FH got. They are indeed one of the most hardworking artist out there right now and barely anyone knows them outside the UK (compared to other artists). They’ ve always deserved and the will always deserve the world. But yeah, it’s just like you said. There’s nothing much you can do about young young girls who nearly worship One Direction.
Yeah, that’s true. I think one of the reason that LM doesn’t have a lot of popularity it’s because they have a lot of songs, if you saw one direction and 5H doesn’t have a lot of songs, that makes the people love that and give a chance to make popular all the album. Another thing that I saw is LM only have a few really popular songs and it’s like one or tree from all their career, something like that. And I saw and their fans are really calm and honest with the group so that means like they enjoy their music but they don’t do a lot of things for the group, but they deserve it and they have a lot of followers in Spotify because they have a good music, but all the people prefers populars groups. I think that
masterpiece!! 😂 thank you for your service, sassy lady 🫡 gotta say as much as i laughed my head off and agreed with a lot of stuff said, i do have a slightly different take on how things went south for these girls. see most of them were making an effort to make it work as a group, you could see/hear lauren and mani almost always handling the alto notes for the group’s harmonies, and personally i always thought dinah was the strongest vocally but her breathing problems got her during most of the live performances. sometime after their first introduction to the public with MMO some started to make it a point to get noticed and stand out, in whatever way they could. like you said, the vibe of over-singing the others got so out of hand to the point of live shows and some covers getting ruined because of it. camilla (and ally to a minor degree), just didn’t know when to back off, calm down and freaking blend with the rest of the group! it went downhill after that cause it was as if the other girls went fuck it if that’s how things are gonna be then ill do it too…and the rest is history. you can only do so much to try and make a HARMONY group work when your bandmates are preferring the single player mode. the fact that their management almost always tinkered with their mics arrangements and turned some off completely while having the others (always camilla) all the way up e.g 12:09 didn’t help either. i know i would be pissed if that happened to me. eta: imma join your conspiracy theory club and add another “evidence” of someone trying their damndest to make them fail was by cutting the best songs out of their albums 😒😒 that’s a bitch move right there. they had potential. they really did. but the combination of egos, miscommunication and a shitty label hammered the last nail in the coffin sadly 🥲
