Verstehst du meine Sprache ??? Oder können sie kein wahrhaftes deutsch sprechen ? Wen sie mich nicht verstehen wäre es sehr schade den ich wollte ihnen Geld spenden. Gruß Werner aus Frankfurt
As an Egyptian feeling disgusted by the tourism situation in my country. After the spread of the scam videos, they started to feel afraid of any camera. Hopefully our government will feel a little shy and act
Well, on the other hand, that kind of concern from the Egyptian product peddlers may actually stop most of them from abusing the tourist. Just point your camera to the over-aggressive peddlers and then they will leave you alone.
Also tell your touts and fake tour guides to learn English, in our country a small boy speaks three languages minimum in touristic attractions, Zanzibar, Arusha, Kilimanjaro - Egypt sometimes can be a pathetic country
Unfortunately, fraud, harassment and embarrassment of tourists have reached their peak in Egypt because of the rotten regime. Tourists do not find comfort when wandering among the pyramids, especially. This harms the country to a great extent, creates a bad idea about the authentic people of Egypt, and ultimately leads to tourists refraining from coming to this country.
I am gonna be honest this is all your fault. You are giving them a major chance to carry on by communicating this much. I was there last week, i studied what to do this scammers and trust me they couldnt complete their second sentence or bothered me at all.
If he had ignored them, he wouldn't have been as able to educate the viewers on these scams to the same extent. Take this comment as a gift. Not a Giza gift but a genuinely free one.
I really don’t care about the scammers but the camels and the horses seem to be in a really bad condition. I guess I would end up paying any price if they promise me to feed the animals well.
It's the animals that get to me too! They would probably do good to sell food for the animals there, where we could pay to feed them! ❤ Like buying corn for the deer here at petting zoos! These deer be waddlin! 😂
The government should do something because it actually hurts their economy. If ppl get taken advantage of. They're usually less likely to spend cash. So dnt take advantage of the tourist and see the money roll in
These beggars and hustlers would drive me nuts! No way I would have the patience for that. Blatantly wasting people's time and hassling them when they are just trying to enjoy the wonder of the pyramids.
Most of them despise and hate foreigners. They smile and act friendly to you BUT if it was legal for them to take a gun or knife out and rob you some of them WOULD do it. It's easier to rob some foreigner you despise or hate. Is the nature of the beast. Humans, that is.
I find it strange all these videos complaining about camel owners scamming them because he asked for $20 for 1 hour. Most of these people end up paying $2, and then they come on their vlogs complaining about the state of the animals! Personally, I wish the government would fix the price of a 1 hour ride to $20 and oblige the owners to a certain standard of care for the animals. If you can afford to go to Egypt, I think you can stretch to $20 for a camel ride for 1 hour.
Dont get me wrong, these sellers and "guides" are annoying af but 200 is like 4 euro. Is it really worth haggling and arguing for an hour over 4 euro?? Its still a 10th of the price of what you would pay for something similar like a horse carriage ride in European cities. And trying to get it for 50 Egyptian pounds?? Come on man, thats less than a euro! If they are getting people trying to haggle them with such insulting offers, no wonder they are trying to scam tourists..
Agree,I am from Croatia and we have almost double of tourist compare to Egypt but everything is expensive, with even my salary I could live like the King in Egypt.
Being a Pakistan, I've traveled to Azerbaijan, Turkey, and several other Middle Eastern countries, and I can spot a scammer from a mile away. It's disheartening to encounter dishonesty in such beautiful, historically rich countries. However, in my experience, the people of my own country are the best.
I have been there but because of the VERY VERY annoing scammers I will NEVER go to Egypt no moore.I want to go private .with no parasitic peoples around.Egypt is worse in north africa
I am not surprised by these behaviors. Egypt has many poor people who try to make money in every way. It is very sad, but for hours it is annoying for tourists, but we must understand that.
What would those product peddlers/pushers do if you simply ignore them by not looking at them when they're talking to you don't talk to them and you keep walking away from them? They probably won't get mad at you because they want to keep you as a potential future customer of theirs as long as you are in that area.
They don't force anyone they just want to feed their children poor people who want money .. eygptions are the best people in this world .. they are friendly and nice . These people in the pyramids are poor people who want to make a living .
How much will you pay to enter burj Khalifa in dubai . Or burj alarab to enter burj Al Arab you have to pay 200 dhs . And you won't complain you are the person who has no honor
I have been in many places on earth with poor people . I never saw in my life such behaviour, such cheating, such unpolite behaviour. This people are dangerous. By the way i never visited Dubai.
Honestly, it might be better to just tell them no rather than later. I've seen some camel people follow and stalk tourists around when they say later. They get very possessive
If you dont want to get their services, dont prolong the conversation and just go. dont linger anymore because if you do that they will certainly push and annoy you more. just say thanks and dont look back just walk away.
a lot of us in these comments are blessed enough and from country’s that are more blessed don’t agree with this behaviour but thing must be hard that they feel the need to do anything to make money just to get by can’t take it personal these things are expected in these places just need to have some common sense
Yes brother you are right totally understandable in some way. Everybody is struggling and trying to make a dime to feed their family and to put food on the table.
And let me add this because I forgot to do it on my last comment, but I mean no disrespect to the country itself . . But it is just so annoying. They are working my last nerve just watching so I can only imagine in person. You just gotta walk away. It’s the only way to stop it. Once you say a few words then they feel they’ve got you.. then there’s the constant haggling. Or once you walk away from one person, the next one is right on you within a second. Sorry to ramble on this is just so frustrating.
Enjoyed your video to many camel riders for me it is more likley one camel and hundred propoters. How do you stay so calim snd polite thank you so much for sharing and uploading
150 is good but 400 is way too much that’s like three rides but that’s for tourist thoughBecause they actually charge about 60 to 75 that’s what they’re supposed to be charging depends

❤❤The pyramids are in the middle of the desert and their terrain is difficult and the heat is high with eating and drinking for camels and horses. You want them for $2. Don’t be stingy. You are coming to have fun and spend money.
I am not stingy :) My Egyptian friends told me that I should not spend more than $2 for a ride so I took that advice a little bit too seriously maybe haha
It took 20 years to build ONE pyramid that means they would have to lay one block every three minutes 24/7 365 days a year with no breaks ever, you think so?? that would in clude all the granite multi-ton blocks inside, you still think so??
I've watched multiple videos like this around the pyramids now, and it seems like all the scammers are trained at the same school of trading. 😅They all seem to like you to "promise" to come back for the "panorama". They use a lot of the same tricks and language over and over again. It all seems like a pretty organised racket. Respect to Banana, Bob Marley, Michael Jordan and Moses.
If they’re selling camel rides and actually providing them I don’t see how it’s a scam. You either agree on a price and go or don’t, it’s the pressure and harassment I hated over there
It's a scam, because when you are sitting on the camel, they then ask you insane amounts of money to get U off and annoy you because U sat on their camel.
To be honest, I'd have no problem paying them 300 to 500 pounds if I knew that some of it would go to taking care of the animals. It just seems sooo cheap to me! These people would have a feild day with me, but with it probably being my only time I visit, I'd be having a feild day too! Trinkets galore!!! 😂❤
I'm just wondering how people like "Mete Vice" the maker of this video are super cheap. People pay thousands of dollars for airplane tickets and for hotels, but can't pay $7 to ride a camel or horse to tour around the pyramids instead of damaging their shoes. It looks like Germans think one dollar can buy a lot in Egypt, but the fact it doesnt buy anything there. Egypt is a very expensive country to visit, and nothing there is cheap unless it's a copy. However, those beggars shouldn't be around any tourism areas harrasing tourists like that. They give a very bad reputation to the country. It's the officials responsibility to protect tourists from them if they need tourists to visit Egypt. I think the lack of responsibility from the Egyptians government is because they don't make any significant amount of money from tourism. All tourists' money goes to private sectors like hotels, restaurants, transportations, and antique shops.
Just because someone pays to visit your country it doesn’t mean their rich and are not allowed to be super cheap, who are you to tell someone what they do with their hard earned money? What if that person actually saved for 10 years and their first trip was to that country, traveling isn’t cheap and every penny saved is needed at times especially if not coming from a place of privilege.
I don't understand why you're saying that the Egyptian government makes no money from tourists. Just a quick Google search revealed that the entry fee to the pyramids is 240 EGP, and over 14 million people visit the pyramids every year. That means they make over 3,360,000,000 EGP ($70m USD) every year on the entry fee alone. They could easily crack down on these scammers, make the whole experience more enjoyable for tourists, and raise the entry fee to 1000 EGP. It is literally singlehandedly the most intriguing and interesting structure ever built on the entire planet. People will pay it, especially if the whole experience wasn't ruined by these scammers. It would actually attract even more than the current 14 million tourists every year. The Egyptian government could potentially make 20 billion EGP ($417m USD) per year just off the entrance fee alone.
Well, 500 egyptian pounds equal to 10 €. And you get to ride a camel for an hour around the pyramids? I think it's a fair price. It's ok to ask for 500 eg pounds what's not ok is the relentless hassling.
30 years took them to build the great pyramid. And I wonder how they were able to accomplish this big project . See how big the stones are . How did they left them up there its a wonder I swear to God
Why you engaged in conversation with them ? Why not walk continue and ignore them ? Because you are engaged in conversation they think you are interested
I personally feel like if you're traveling in someone else's country you should help out a few locals while you are there... clearly if you can afford to travel your not broke ...( this is for anyone)...help less fortunate... there are hardworking people who aren't scammers
I gotta say this man, I will put it down for you... 500 EGP is too much, but also 70 EGP is way to low in my opinion, 100-200 sounds like a good price for one person and you would be lucky to find someone offering you this deal. Just saying.
