this feels like watching two guys fight, where one is constantly switching up his tactics and techniques to be as flashy and impressive as possible, but he always gets caught out and defeated by the other guy doing the exact same simple counterattack every time

This is why I like Wifies’ escapes more. He sometimes doesn’t finishes puzzles the way they’re intended and you can see him get stuck for long periods of time on certain parts. It just seems much more authentic.

I genuinely didn't know why ice blocks sometimes turned to water and sometimes didn't. Learned something new today.

I used to not think much of these videos, but now after watching this, it's given me a whole new perspective!

These bad escape rooms are actually great in a way. You see, you've showed us that there's no one solution to these puzzles which makes them behave like an immersive sim door problem.

He's like a math teacher you must use his formula or you're wrong.

To be fair, about that guard trap it's kind of impossible to know what to do if it WASN'T told to him. Like I'm pretty sure anyone else would go "oh hello sir" and walk past him as he's not really doing anything to stop you. So you NEED to know how to work around it in order for the guard to actually mean anything in the first place. Also some are pretty sus like the boat and chicken trick which is really oddly specific, but most of these are actual legitimate tricks that could be used on your first try, without all that resource management stuff. but funny video regardless

Calls me out for poorly made prisons but the prison he made me breaks on my live stream so we have to skip it XD.. I do make the prisons because I sadly at the start of my RU-vid career didn't have the money to properly pay people to make them for me as I am sure you know a well thought out prison requires a lot of time to make ESPECIALLY one that makes a good video! I am trying to move away from me making them hence why I asked for viewers like you to submit me prisons tbh if yours is good enough I may use it in one of my videos! At the end of my day my channel is a story telling channel that gives the viewer a good time and this prisons came from my Tiktok series and my love of all things puzzles!! I have been watching Seawattgamings escape videos to test my minecraft knowledge. I always knew that they are fake but i still watch them so i can pause the video in each room and figure out the most complicated solution to the problem with the given items. Yet the hardest puzzle was when he had to change the version to a snapshot and use a special bug to turn lava into water. But i was still able to guess the solution :) (the snapshot was one of the caves and cliffs part 1 version)

But to be fair, he did find an interesting way of content by revealing not so well known Minecraft facts and integrated it into a prison (or vault) escape trend. Hey there ✌️ I’m good friends with seawatt and have helped work on many of his videos including some of these. As you concluded, yes the videos are staged, for entertainment. He doesn’t try to right deny it being fake, but does for the sake of the video give the perspective as someone being trapped in the prison for the first time. The prisons are original creations mostly made to show fun ways to solve challenges using Minecraft knowledge. We are usually aware of some alternative ways to escape, but I can’t deny you did have a lot of funny ways we hadn’t known before hand. 😅 So from a design perspective they are far from perfect, but we will definitely work towards improving them with the feedback here! Overall I think you video was really well made and pretty funny at parts, but a little too harsh for the sake of it at others. I tried out one of the prisons you helped work on and I gotta say you definitley know your stuff, so I can see why you might of found the videos a little troll.

How to do this kind of content right: 0) get your friend to make an escape room 1) get someone to PLAYTEST the escape room (ideally someone with a lot of MC & cheesing knowledge) (Kenadian? :eyes:) 2) note that you don't want any softlocks in your escape room since that would prevent you from actually doing it without multiple tries. make sure that your friend adds ways to retry sections such as adding a respawn that gives you your items back and resets the room or something. 3) release the map and now people have a cool puzzle map! 4) do a livestream of yourself trying the map, you could try it in an hour like classic escape rooms and make it a "Can I escape this INESCAPABLE minecraft map in ONE HOUR? 5) after that do a walkthrough vid of the map that you can use to showcase all the mechanics even if you didnt get to them, you can act it up if you want, but it should be clear that the livestream was the actual attempt and this is just to show off the map Now you have an actual quality puzzle map AND a livestream of you actually attempting that map AND the exact same product you have now

I've watched all his videos and yeah they are obviously planned out and what not, but I think what keeps you watching is the not obvious ways of solving the puzzle, but that's what gives it away as he goes in knowing what to do. Still good videos and your video was amazing!!

I remember watching one of his vids where he “lava clutches” by doing an MLG with lava, except this doesn’t cancel fall damage. Yet he came out perfectly fine with 0 damage taken
