Well, I guess Newry Harbour might finally have more then "48 trains a year" (reference to VexSG video), tho, maybe it might need an upgrade. Imagine Express/Waterline going into that one line branch.

That's bizarre. Also interesting to note that the 1st of April Twitter post appears to have Hampton Hargate and possibly Water Newton as stops for an express run to Leighton City. Still think that's a weird choice for an extension though

I thought Newry Harbour was supposed to be a derelict and underused replacement for the port of Benton after the construction of the Benton Bridge didn't limit access and force it to close.

I like the idea, the photo of Newry shows us through tracks with overhead wires, meaning I think the newry line will become a main line, it’s also obvious newry harbour won’t remain a single track station, it will most likely get upgraded to multiple to cope with extra traffic, that whole branch is poorly served so will be nice to see it get frequently used again just like when it was first added

In all honesty I think this is a very bad idea. The only thing that makes Waterline relevant is the fact that it branches off to stations which are non interchangeable. Adding this update/extension will only make Waterline pointless coz you might as well just put connect out there instead

I had this dream last night, that a whole new branch line came to SCR which acted a little bit like the Far North Line (FNL) There were 8 stations beyond Llyn, with a stadium and also an aerodrome near the end of the line, I do know that this might never become a reality
