Sevu Reece is quality. Goes looking for work. He's not content to stand out there on the wing and wait for the ball to come to him. With him and Will Jordan, plus George Bridge and Rieko Ioane, we've got no shortage of dynamic wings at the moment.
If Rieko wants to take his game to the next level, he needs to take whatever advice Akira took and learn to start passing a bit earlier. His line breaks are fantastic and it's great that he backs himself or wants to wait to the last possible moment, but he often holds the ball a little too long when just releasing the man outside him would be better overall.
The thing is, if you if you pass too early you dont commit the defenders, for example, if its a two on one and you pass the ball early without drawing the defender, you botch opportunities. Happened in this game, cant say if it was Reiko though...
@@mikescudder4621 Yeah draw and pass is a fundamental and effective skill that even children should be able to do without too much trouble. The thing is Rieko has been guilty of holding the ball more often than not. You can also see that he does commit the defender but has already committed to trying to beat him and so misses a chance to have Reece wide open. Looking at the angle though and the speed he's running it's probably a pretty difficult pass to make anyway. But like I say, it's not the first time he's done it and Akira has shown the value of making the break and then letting someone else finish, even if most of us would back him to beat a defender or two in open space.
@@franks8901 Mate, even the under-85s don't listen to me down at my local club haha. Just an aspect I had noticed cause I've been particularly interested in Akira's rise and seeing how he has developed as a player.
@@franks8901 im not an international coach but did you watch the game?? Im not flogging Reiko specifically, but there was a botched try because someone passed before committing the defender. Yes, its easier said than done, yes it all happens so fast, but these guys train this stuff every day...
You simply dont leave Rieko out of the team he is probably one in life time generational talent he gets over the advantage line so easily the difference between him the rest of the abs is he can break away from anywhere on the park. People forget he WRECKT the British Lions.
I wouldn't say it was close... the ABs dominated. The Argies defended with heart and were staunch, causing the ABs not able to convert all their territory/possession advantage into points. But in terms of attacking threat, the ABs had the Argies well contained when they held whatever little possession they had. If I remember correctly, there are 3 or 4 missed/disallowed tries to the ABs. So, if anything, I believe this score is actually flattering to the Argentines.
The All Blacks won this game convincingly but it's easy to underestimate the Pumas defence. That could have been an 80 pointer. And the Beauden Barrett back of the hand offload must be one of the most skilled executions I have seen in the last 20 years. It was astounding. Can't believe he plays second fiddle to Mounga (although Richie is also an exceptional player). They should be alternating Barrett and Mounga at 10/12 like the English do with Ford/Farrell.
What version of the extended highlights do the two near tries from Jordie and one near try from Bridge get in? This version does show how well Argentina defended in the first half and how ABs relentless attack had them gassed by the end of the first 40 and the rest of the match. Bring on the Boks! Vamos Los Pumas contra Australia!
Argentina´s current situation is really sad, but this is Argentina without Jaguares!! Get used to watching this disappointing presentations regularly. As I mentioned a few days ago in a video of TwoCentsRugby, Argentina needs to have a team in a top level competition!!! The current situation in which we have all our players playing in 10 different countries, with different systems, and that they only get to play a bit together for a few days before a tournament results in what we just saw in this game. It was ugly, it was brutal, it was sad. On top of that, add Ledesma and his total inability to plan anything else other than just defense. Argentina needs a team in Super Rugby - or similar - asap, or everything we have achieved in the last 10 years will go to dust.
@@duncanwcraig9668 I know! But it seems so far away. Even right now NZ is in lockdown and who knows when the situation will stabilize enough to allow for an international tournament to take place without interruptions. And is SA teams finally decide to leave the Southern Hemisphere competitions, then it would not make much sense for AUS and NZ to include ARG in something like SuperRugby. I do not see a light at the end of the tunnel yet. Cheers from Argentina mate!
Whoa was TJ mad at Reece or something? Looked like he lined him up at 2:48 haha. Lucky it was his own guy cause I think he might have gotten a yellow or red for tackling like that!

Well done our ABs... and with quite a few newbies doing the jersey proud. You have to admire the Argentine defence (and ours too, as the Argie attack fizzled).
You’ve got to challenge the ABs to beat them. You can’t just defend, because you can’t keep that up for 80 without conceding. Kick your possession away to create field position and dominate territory and you’ll risk getting counter attacked. Chuck the ball around recklessly like Aus and you get isolated and picked off. I think the only way to win is through phase play and holding on to possession, grind your way up the pitch if you have to and then play some rugby in their half. Easier said than done - the ABs are looking monstrous at the minute.
Standard gameplans for the saffas and northern hemisphere teams v NZ.It ain't pretty, but it is effective. Taking on NZ at a running game,OTOH,is pure suicide.
@@richardscanlan3167 agreed, but playing SOME running rugby in NZ’s half has to happen. The Saffer tactic of creeping up the pitch, winning a lineout and scoring off a rolling maul is like watching paint dry. There’s a balancing act between Aus and SA’s tactics that at least stops teams getting blown away. I’m dreading playing you guys again 😂
Argentina's players were playing the ball off their feet. If they're standing they can have a go at holding the All Blacks player/ball down making it difficult for him to release the ball. But once they are off their feet just lying there, they have to roll away - and certainly can't be grabbing at the ball. It was not the first time they'd done it either, hence the yellow card. The reason the ref didn't blow the whistle straight away was because he was letting the game run 'under advantage' to keep play going, but nothing came of it, so he blew the whistle and went back for the penalty and yellow card.
Although... now that I look at it again, I feel like they were pretty hard done by, as they were on their feet for quite a while before being cleaned out. Maybe it should have been a turn-over for Argentina rather than a yellow against them? Ah well. Hopefully someone else will clarify :)
@@chocomonstaar I see, thank you so much for the explanation! The world wide Rugby community never disappoints. Such nice people, so thanks for your time and your effort 💪 cheers!
Love the all blacks our champions unlucky Argentina if you had of got on the board may have been a good game see you next time guys, mighty all blacks foreva
Yea saw that too. His ability to break the line with his speed is amazing, but he's gotta release the man outside him a bit sooner, let them do some work too.

NZ will never ever win another wc , too small upfront Maybe some older folk will remember the song, We've got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts, well that's NZ
The Philosophy of the rich and the poor is this:the rich invest their money and spend what is left. The poor spend their money and invest what is left".
Interesting, most people don't understand the market moves and tend to be mislead infacts like this and always depend on money in the bank very bad idea.
I understand the fact that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, but investing today is a hard thing to do because I have no idea of how and where to invest in?
