The thing that makes Hsieh so great, is that in the modern tennis world of PED enhanced Amazon power beasts, Hsieh remains a "Tennis Player." Skill, thought, strategy, building a point and artistry. The Game that was, returned...
This match features two things I love to watch: 1) the intelligent tactitian beats a ball basher. 2) the shrieker gets silenced by a player that barely makes a sound.
Love to watch Hsieh's match, not for win or lose, just enjoy the creativity she showed to us. Tennis isn't a game only for whom have stronge muscles, there are other ways to win.
郝布爽 and has she ever made it past the fourth round at a grand slam? No. So although her style is interesting and different, it isn’t all too effective.
@@goxaviergo11 "it isn’t all too effective" I think there is a busload of top 10 and top 5 players who found out otherwise: including Simona Halep, Naomi Osaka, Garbiñe Muguruza, Angelique Kerber, Karolína Plíšková, Aryna Sabalenka, Johanna Konta, Daniela Hantuchová, Kimiko Date-Krumm, Flavia Pennetta, Jelena Ostapenko, Agnieszka Radwańska, Caroline Wozniacki, and Lucie Šafářová (Wikipedia).
Both men and women could learn from the master Hsieh. She is the master of strategy followed by execution with very few unforced errors. Her redirecting of shots is amazing. A mental giant with a quiet persona.
Hseih teaches us that it is not always the strong fast shots that win the game. The strategy, angles of shots that makes it hard for opponents to return and avoiding errors can help you win against strong, big serving players.
Hsieh looks so delicate. And plays so gracefully. She has exquisite two-hand forehand and two-hand backhand. She packs power from both wings. She’s been around for awhile but I’m only now discovering who she is.
Amo a esta chinita taiwanesa...me regocijo y deleito viendo una y otra vez sus genialidades tenísticas...eres un encanto Sue Wei Hsieh, para mí, la número 1 del mundo!!!!
Wow Hsieh is absolutely savage. It must be so maddening to be Hsieh's opponent when she is in her zone. Almost like she's playing chess with her competitors and it's so fun to watch!
Su Wei ❤️👍she can do so many things with the ball....magical wrist flicks and creatively constructed points. Gives me Seles vibes every time I watch her.
I love it Su-Wei, a beautiful match where Su Wei was always inferior in physical power but she was very intelligent with his game and very focused. At times Sabalenka was very tired. Su- Wei is adorable, his face of contained happiness at 15:29 made me laugh a lot. Thank you Su-Wei. The smartest and most unpredictable player. Admiration and laughter when watching his tennis.
she uses the opponent's power to her advantage, that alone and the fact she has more precision than power makes her quite annoying to play. I remember Osaka saying in the press conference prior to playing Su-wei at AO that shows so much respect for her.
when she won, she would hug her opponents. When she lost, she acted like she was the only player to know how frustrated to lose a match was. Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was very bitter with that handshake , I’ve seen quite a few players behave the same way towards Hsieh after she beat them. Hseih is a brilliant player , loads of fantastic shots in her bag .
Isn’t this the match where Sabalenka suddenly raises her hand/finger for no reason then Hsieh stops but the umpire suddenly awards the point to Sabalenka?
too bad more of today's players don't have the creativity of Hsieh. Today's players are all power. It's great tennis when the player uses several shots to set up a winner. Her opponent this day was much more powerful, had a very nice, strong serve, but she could not answer Hsieh's skill and strategy. Also Sabalenka uses way too many fist pumps. That gets boring to watch. Love Hsieh.
Today i found information about sieh because she will meet Naomi at au open. I saw all of high lights match' her and i know why she can go to the top 8 this year. So smart player
Compared to present Sabalenka, the younger one play so quietly. No scream, not even grunt. it proves that the horrible screaming from the bottom of her lung is not from her nature, but on strategic purpose which is to scare and distract her opponent.
What a disgrace for tennis such behaviours are! Players like S.Williams, Sharapova, Kvitova, and this Sabalenka could make a better use of their fist and scream... Hsieh doesn't even make a move when she wins a great point. She's a model.
