the replay actually ruined what I thought of the challenge, after I looked at it again, it's so stupid to think that he is actually not looking to cause some reckless damage
Just when the comeback I thought was epic enough against Peterborough, but to score the late winner at a Wembley Stadium, was just unbelievable. Never say die to the MAX!!💯💯💯
NOW DARREN, GET SOME PLAYERS IN, LIKE BRENTFORD RECRUITED, WITH SOME PACE AND NOUSE UP FRONT, AND A STRONG DEFENSE, CHANSIRI FORK SOME MONEY OUT FOR THE PUSH TO PREMIERSHIP, IT CAN BE DONE, PS THANKS TO THESE PLAYERS WHO GOT US HER, I KNOW SOME WILL GO BUT WE WONT FORGET YOU.
I don't think I'll ever not be happy to see that Windass goal replayed. Darren Moore was great, and marvellously Danny Rohl and his coaches and team have helped preserve that great achievement!
Beautiful video. Should be taken on the first mission to Mars. 'We come in the name of all mankind. But particularly Sheffield Wednesday. Who make the impossible... possible'
Wonderful stuff. Fantastic goal to win promotion. What a season, eh?! Huge respect to the players and Darren Moore; rather less for those "supporters" who chanted "you're not fit to wear the shirt" a few days ago.
Whether you chant 'your not fit', or miss a match or tear up a ticket we are still Wednesday fans. We have the right to an opinion so put away the brown shirt and promote WAWAW
FC Barnsley might get that goalie poached from them, it had to be an epic goal to beat him. Congratulations Sheffield Wednesday FC on promotion to the Championship.
@@daneorigene6913 watch it in slow motion. Gregory slides in and wins the ball (granted it was a loose ball that he was probably going to win most of the time), and just see Phillips go in with both feet and makes no effort to win the ball he just goes straight into Gregory. That’s a blatant red card
No mal intent from Gregory for Barnsleys penalty call, never took his eyes off the ball, pure accident. And I also thought that was a red card, reckless challenge. Barnsley can keep there heads up it was a fantastic effort by them with 10 men, but Wednesday deserved it in the end. What a game!
Might have been an accident but clear foul and penalty. Where else on the pitch are you allowed to kick someone like that. Very surprised VAR didn't ask ref to look again on the monitor
Delusional weed go away nobody likes you. You worried we’ll batter you again. Only 1 derby for us. And it’s a proper same city derby. Your rivals are Wakefield or Bradford. 6-0 😭
So Wednesday sold out their entire half, plus a solid section of the upper tier of the Barnsley end..... I wonder if they could have sold out that entire upper tier all by themselves. Wouldn't be fair for Barnsley, but I wonder.....
Yes Wednesday ticket sales never reached "general sale". Meaning people without points (earned from previous ticket purchases) Interesting to note, the dingles complained when their allocation was reduced. Looks like we could've had 15, 000 or more Owls there !!! I think there were nearly 50,000 OWLS!!!
@@allanwainwright1478 ya, SW seasons stats is better. But when player get fouled in penalty box, it was rules and regulation. It can't based on your seasons stats then can rules out any penalty that should give to the team.
@@wilkhor5341 Never a foul in a million matches...it's a clash between two players looking to do the same thing...if anything it's the Barnsley player who should get booked for a high challenge....not really but if we're talking stupid.
Neither player won the ball and both kicked each other. We've seen them given but would have been a harsh way to settle a game like this if that's what it came down to, 50/50 call and they played it safe.
"Only seconds left now. Is there time for a winner? YES THERE IS, GOOOAL, WINDASS." The best fun fact for me is, in over 350 minutes of play off football, we were ahead for just 5 seconds. That has to be another record, ffs.
I thought Harry Isted was brilliant and sorry that he ended up on the losing side. I always felt he deserved more game time for Luton but due to so many injuries last season we had to bring in a loan goalkeeper (Matt Ingham) and had to play him. Also questionable red card. I agree the challenge was wreckless, but it was his trailing leg that caught the Wednesday player and I think it looked worse than it was. Tough on Barnsley to play so long with 10 men, and in the end it certainly began to tell. I guess there is a certain justice that a team that finished third on 96 points claimed the third promotion spot. When Luton won League One in 2019, we did so with 94 points. That should augur well for all three teams promoted to the Championship next season.
bad linesman decision, he never puts his flag up for the initial pass, then calls it too late, corrupt or what, i believe theyre is corruption amongst officials.
50/50 for the penalty, some refs may give that, but thankfully not yesterday which just looks like a just coming together to me with both players feet high and no control over the ball. The tackle for the red card is a red card all day. Just watched it back for the first time, what was the Barnsley player doing, talk about being late into a tackle, two feet off the ground and lunging into a tackle with the player already on the floor. Most refs will give red for that in today's game you just can't tackle like that anymore.
@@Yorkshire_Celt Were you looking at the pitch? Yeah, Barnsley missed a sitter, so what. Wednesday had more possession, more shots, more shots on target, three kicked off the line....PLUS, the stat that counts the most....1 goal to nil.
Thought the reaction of Wednesday player after foul on him resulting in red card was exceptional. Didntvroll around like several over paid Premier League players.Gotbup straight away.Fair play.Wednesday are a big club.
He got up eventually but he was definitely rolling around! The Barnsley player didn't touch him with the leading foot, but he was screaming like he was shot. And shame on the other Wednesday player for immediately shouting in the ref's face.
Yes we have been like that all season, where as other teams play act and try to cheat. Absolutely if that as a dingle player they would of rolled around as if been shot.
Lee Gregory shud get an Oscar for his playacting to get someone ( Phillips) sent off!!!! That moment spoilt a great game for me! Yes i wanted the owls to win but not by cheating !!!!
Decisions going Wednesday's way again... cheated against derby,... got what they deserved against Peterborough.....but admittedly did a fantastic turnaround and got to Wembley after doing the impossible in the second leg...👏👏👏. oh its good to be a neutral 😂😂
Decisions going against us have cost us many points this season and cost us automatic. Cheated against derby ?😂 I smell a sheep sh@@er here. Sorry we cost you a place in play-offs enjoy Stevenage next season. 💙🦉
Click play on the video, the replays are pretty conclusive! 9/10 times that's a red if the ref has eyes, and VAR was there to make sure of it in the end anyway.
Good call on that red card hate dirty players they hack u and then they point to the ball screw them throw away the yellow card straight reds from now on its a simple game see the ball play the ball there should be no fouls in football no excuses u grab a shirt or an arm red it's easy to spot an accidental elbow or not
The game debunked. Quite clear that the Barnsley player connected with Gregory first defo. no penalty. The Barnsley player was also shirt pulling before the incident. The sending off was warranted the Barnsley player could have been charged with assault. VAR was working as it should. They confirmed the referees decisions thus no referee check was needed. BBC stats confirmed Wednesday had the majority of possession. Wednesday had 22 shots to the Dingles 9. Wednesday had 8 on target to the Dingles 2. WAWAW
Very Lucky Wednesday! Barnsley wud have won easily if no sending off! They were playing Wednesday off the park! And even at end with great slock move the Barnsley player should have buried that sitter! He"ll be haunted by that miss rest of his life, or until Barnsley get promoted again! Id have buried that left foot along the ground into the corner! And I'm right footed! Clearly he wasn't a Top class Sun league striker with a 15 goals ave every season in the bag!😂
Go stand in the corner & repeat these lines 50 times to yourself ...” I CreativityCell need to stop smoking the funny stuff & get myself a girl/boyfriend” Let me know you’ve done that & I’ll give you another too bit of advice! 👍 💙🦉💙 UTMO!
"playing Wednesday off the park" ? You actually thought that ? 😂 Barnsley were resilient and defended well, played well and created chances but couldn't match Wednesday in any department, Best team won in a very frustrating and often static game
