A very tidy motor when it is all cleaned up and those wheels really came up well. Huge satisfaction on your part on conclusion of the detail. I spent eight hours on a mates wife's car at the weekend that had barely seen shampoo since it was purchased and he said it looked better than when they bought it so huge satisfaction for me. I am setting off to London on Thursday and my kit will be onboard to give my sisters cars the full treatment while I dog sit while they holiday abroad.
17*to20* degrees is the winter here and I feel cold to wash my car but now in the summer with 40 degrees I don’t have a problem I enjoy it more but you as always Heather you are something else I enjoy how careful and perfect you work you don’t let anyone with ocd to feel like you are not doing perfect job ,this is what makes you so good how you pay attention to the details

The work you detailers do its admirable. Not anyone do the same because all the effort it requires and time of course that's one of the many reasons I value your hardwork. PD: I love Skodas (well I love all cars) that's the true in fact 😂. I think is because it's a good daily option as a car.
Long time viewer! One thing I wanted to pick up is that the temperature isn't necessarily an issue, it's the direcct sunlight. It can be relatively cold but direct sunlight can still be an issue. It's why sunscreen is often worn by skiers....
Thanks for watching! I probably should've been a bit more clear, I'm more concerned with the actual panel temps. As long as I'm able to keep the paintwork cool I'm happy :)
Excellent job Heather, also using the Parla sealant and had nearly 5 months out of my last application, probably one of the best sealants I have used to date
Brilliant Heather. My own car is white and have to say you just cant beat Parla on a white car. I use glatt every 2nd or 3rd wash and it tops it up nicely too👍🏽👏🏼
Great job on those b pillars Heather! I think that staining often comes from high spf sunscreens as many people use the pillars as a door handle! A car never looks right if those aren't gleaming.
Thanks Ben! Yep sunscreen is the worst. I polished an Audi A1 recently which had really bad stains all over the the driver's side, I could literally see the journey from the fuel filler cap to the door handle 😂
The amount of chemicals going into nature only to clean a single car (which would stay clean for 30 min. max while driven in the UK) is just disgusting!
I am really late to your channel sorry, but certainly picked up alot of helpful info. My car is ceramic coated so cleaning is reasonably easy and I went K2 and Amazon cheap short trigger and hoze route. The joint now leak a year later and the kinking is a right pain. I have used you links and discount code to update my hardware and the cleaning materials in an attempt to keep ontop of the shine and protection we are all seekign to achieve.
Parla left a lovely finish,tyre dressing too.👍 As it was quite sunny with hot panels recently i used ONR ,followed by Yum detailer and i gotta say it was a great combo. ONR is awesome in summer IMHO
Thank you! Yeah you can't go wrong with it, it's not ridiculously durable (pretty average from my experience) but the ease of application and the finish is spot on
Great video as always! And fantastic result! How do you keep your passion for detailing? I've kind of lost my passion for it lately, I don't know if it is because of the rubbish summer weather we have had or if I'am just generally losing interest in detailing. I only look after mine and a couple of family members cars but it feels like more of a chore lately whereas before I would enjoy it and look forward to trying new products etc
Thank you! I totally get that, sometimes it can feel more of a chore. The main thing for me is trying new products to be honest, just helps to keep things a bit more interesting when I find something new that I really enjoy using

Just discovered this channel and learning so much from you, I have a question that probably no one has ever asked, do I really need to fill the bucket with soapy solution to the brim? I feel like I barely use half of that soapy water , which feels like a waste when I finish, or am I doing something wrong by not doing multiple passes during the contact wash? Thanks
Thanks for watching! The main reason to have more water in the bucket is to help dilute the amount of contaminants in there so there’s less chance of picking them up on the wash mitt. It’s really more important with the rinse bucket though so if you’re not using as much shampoo solution I don’t see any real issue with using less

Don't you have a grit guard in your rinse bucket to rub the wash mitt on 🤔 seems the dirt is still in the wash mitt just dunking it and rinsing it out 🤔
I don't collect any visible dirt on the mitt tbf. If there's anything really collected underneath the grit guard during the wash stage then there's something going wrong during the pre-wash. I personally just use grit guards for precaution
Heather absolutely awesome job Heather can you advise me please am using a 5ltr pump sprayer to apply pre wash and have just waxed car what sort of dilution ratio for a 5lt of pre wash so i dont strip any of the wax of
Their citrus pre-wash isn't ridiculously strong to be honest so I would go with a 1:7 for general maintenance, and you could probably go up to 1:4 if it's really dirty
Congrats on the new car! You can just clean it as normal using a regular pre-wash and pure shampoo. I wouldn't apply anything heavy duty protection-wise though beforehand
@@AutoCareHQ put shampoo you mean no wax’s or anything like that? I’m in a couple detailing Facebook groups and so many different opinions I need a trusted opinion
Yeah I wouldn't put a wax on it personally if it was getting coated in a couple of weeks. It won't really do any harm but will just clog up the polishing pad a bit during the prep. I'd just use something light like a quick detailer spray
Hi Heather, don’t worry I often say this to all kinds of RU-vidrs, but any chance you could film and upload in 4K resolution? It sometimes feels like your doing yourself an injustice, I mean I could see the door pillars looked much better, but it maybe it was hard to appreciate how bad they were before. If it’d take too long to upload in 4K because you can’t get fast broadband, 1440p is a very good compromise. That said though, for filming in 1080p you get the best you can from it, it’s just when you’re trying to show things that you’re not entirely happy with, the small imperfections, or how you’ve tried to improve these imperfections, it’s not so easy to see and appreciate. This wasn’t meant to be criticism, just I want more! 😂. Your channel is great, given me some good ideas and inspiration, and also I’m loving the Rag company glass cleaning cloths, you recommended to me once.
Thanks very much for the feedback Phillip! I honestly would love to start uploading in 4K but would need a really expensive camera and probably a PC upgrade to cope with it so atm it's not really feasible. If the channel suddenly starts making decent money though I will definitely look to invest
