The way Stavi puts up a defense on his behalf before making him answer how he kills the raccoon, letting him know that he won’t be judged and he can open up about something that’s difficult to do and might have even been held inside as shameful, is not only masterful crowd work, but shows just how empathetic and good with people he really is.

When I was six we had to call pest control to take care of a rabid racoon. A guy showed up and did exactly this. I sat there and watched the coon struggle in the bag until it stopped moving... took 10 or 15 minutes. Up until today I was sure he wasn't really pest control. Now, I guess that's how it's actually done.

The raccoon is just getting the same treatment we used to prescribe to death row inmates years ago… I mean, I don’t see any way you could safely administer a lethal injection (or any other humane execution method). So gas will have to do.

Not that I've ever experienced being smothered by car exhaust, but apparently its a lot like hypoxia which I did experience when I was in the Navy. For me, it was genuinely calming and relaxing. Raccoon probably went through the natural reaction of a wild animal in a cage but went out peacefully and painlessly

Actually a very humane way to put the raccoon down. The urge to breathe comes from a build up of CO2 in the lungs from no airflow, not the lack of oxygen, so when you do the exhaust thing they still breathe but dont get enough oxygen and kind of just pass out painlessly

I've been in the pest control industry in the DMV for 22 years bedbugs are the nastiest creatures we treat. When I was young working with my dad we caught a snake and put it in a pillow case driving down the highway it got out and was riding in the back of the truck looking thru the window at us.
