EXTERNAL ANALOG METER for YAESU FT-857 | How does it work? 

Here I examine the functions of the external analog multi-function meter found on Yaesu FT857 or FT897.
I go through the menu governing those functions and show how you can use it at your advantage using an old analog multifunction meter.
The full scale voltage out of the 3.5mm jack is about 5Volt.
I think it can be handy in some occasions to have an easy to watch meter, especially for swr readings as I say in the video.
