External Nasal Valve Collapse | Dr. Paul Nassif 

I appreciate you providing this information. How would you anatomically characterize the exterior valve? And how should it be distinguished from internal valve collapse through a history and physical examination? I appreciate you.

I had a partial Septoplasty with a spreader graft , but I notice very little improvement, and when I respirate , my nostrils both completely collapse. When I had an initial consult with an ENT he said they would likely repair the septum and the upper lateral valve to see if that improved the issue ,and I know he took cartilage from the tip of my nose. But unfortunately my nose is still kinda wonky and my nostrils collapse and I can’t breathe very well. So I’m going back for another follow up next week and I surmise he’s going to have to do this surgery to correct the external valve issue.

valve collapse could be congenital as well. Since a lot of thick skinned people have weak cartilage in the alar region

Isn't Latera for internal valve collapse, not external valve collapse?

I’ve had this for so damn long. Can my insurance cover a rhino/septo ?
