Hi Marion, you know what? During this stay home time, my boys (12 and 10) found your channel and started following your recipe to cook by themselves. They already tried the miso pasta, 4 ingredients spare rib etc, they are watching your channel every day. I think you have just inspired two young boys to cook. I am especially thrilled that they like to cook Asian goods. They were born in America. We are Asian and they love Asian foods too. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work!
Made it tonight (all beef as my husband doesn’t eat pork) and it was SO DELICIOUS!!!!!! The lemon really shines through and I can’t get over how every noodle was truly coated in the sauce. I honestly can say it’s my favorite bolognese I’ve ever made - and I’m Italian!!
10 seconds in u see the dried chilies and the bay leaves and I'm like "HECK YEAH! THIS IS MARION STYLE!" Love the videos! Also, congratulations on the baby!
Sidarth Ram while the dried chillies is just classic Marion adding her own twist, the bay leaves are actually traditionally put in an Italian bolognese. Watch the Silvia and Marion Collaboration where Silvia makes bolognese and Marion makes Pad Thai
@@aaribehsan9995 I'll take a look now 😊! I always thought bay leaves were exclusive to asian and indian cooking as I am indian. Here you are changing my entire world view 😂😂
I respect that you say from the outset that it’s not traditional Bolognese sauce! What I like was your development of the beef ! Way better than Gordon Ramsay!
When I cook spaghetti, it’s also asian style. We put soya sauce and sugar and lots of garlic. So it’s umami and sweet, with lots of beef too. I grate the carrots instead
darkhaven87 minced beef app 350g , cook until oil comes out. I use the beef oil to saute the minced garlic and chopped 1 onion. Add 1 chopped green bell pepper and 2 grated carrots. I use 1 small can of tomato puree. Add lots of sugar (to your taste) and 1/2 cup soya sauce. I dont use salt, the soya sauce will make it salty. Pepper to taste. Enjoy!
Coming here 2 years later to say this has been my go-to Bolognese sauce for the past year. I use Chinese five spice powder instead of individual star anise and other little whole spices that could take time to fish out after cooking. I make it in large batches and put it in the freezer it is always delicious when reheated
I finally made this. After I made them, we ate it for dinner and it was okay. I have a lot of leftovers, so I brought it the next day for my lunch at work and still okay. I came home and kids haven’t eaten the one I left for them. So I brought it again for lunch at work and this time, it tasted great. The meat and the spaghetti finally absorbed the sauce. My co workers who ate this with me for two days, really loved it. I will definitely be making this again and eat it on the third day. Thanks for sharing this recipe.
Bula from Fiji Marion I love all the colours you integrate into your dishes so capturing and hunger provoking. Your wonderful personality was what got me hooked and your beautiful humor and true to the person in you .Such a genius in enhancing flavor in all your dishes.
I've been referencing this recipe for the past couple of years, and it's become one of my go-to recipes for making something really rich and delicious! Thank you marion for sharing this!! I appreciate you so much, this recipe has been so helpful in my life.
I truly admire your energy and drive during these last few weeks and days of pregnancy. The content has been so wonderful and constant. I’m truly inspired by you. Such an amazing and hardworking woman, mother and wife. Your mom must be so proud. She’s beautiful by the way. Praying for the safest and easiest delivery of a healthy baby boy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Made this recipe today and it was the best pasta dish I've ever made! I normally opt for jar pasta sauce but they never taste as good. Only few things I modified: I didn't add the ground pork, only used 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, used red pepper flakes, added butter with 1/4 cup of milk for more creaminess, and didn't add in lemon zest, and white pepper. Just felt lazy to add extra ingredients and I only had ground beef on hand so the portion was perfect. But overall, this recipe is very customizable to your taste. The soy and star anise really made the sauce savory and has more depth! Will definitely make again!
Who could ever dislike this video, haters. I would love to make this, it looks amazing as you. I love your calming voice and you are so cute with your belly. Momma is cute too :)
I'm actually a lady, don't let a helmet fool you. I'm married to a lovely Italian who loves my Italian dishes which by the way is my favorite. I totally respect the Italian culture and would never want to upset or disrespect in any way, I was just commenting on Marions video and to my opinion thought her sauce looked good which everyone has their own opinion. I'm sorry that you have a terrible attitude about someone's cooking which may very well be a delicious dish. Hope you have a better day!
I absolutely swear by saucing the pasta this way rather than putting plain pasta in a bowl and pouring sauce over. This is such a game changer in terms of the flavor of the dish. I also no longer drain my pasta in a colander but fish out with a slotted spoon or drag over long spaghetti with tongs.
Made this last night and can confirm its sooo delicious...didn't have chillies, rosemary, thyme and lemon zest on hand but still tasted amazing...thank you so much Marion 💜
Made this. Finished everything over the course of a week. Had linguine bolognese every day of the week for lunch. Time to return to that this week. Thank you, Marion!!!

We just made this last nite for dinner. OMG!!! It was amazing. Words can't describe it. N yes, the bay leaves n chilli made d difference. Thank u soo much!
My husband is bolognese and although he can be traditional about his bolognesi dishes, he does appreciate other takes on those classic dishes. I am pregnant and after watching this now I am now craving this dish! I will have to try it and see what the hubby thinks. I love your chill vibes in the kitchen. Congrats on your soon to be arriving bundle of joy.
I love watching GREAT Chefs do their thing. I’m so glad I stumbled across your channel!! You can get down in the kitchen. And your love of pasta is only surpassed by mine. And having Mama’s seal of approval 💯 girl, I will be binge watching you like some binge on Netflix. God Bless on the Baby and congratulations.
Marion thank you for this receipe. I am in love with your asian influence! This is totally relatable! I can now add asian taste to the western food i love!
I made this for dinner tonight and it was great! Instead of add just regular oil at the end I added your chilli oil. AMAZING!! Thank you for all your amazing recipes!
I tried this recipe twice already and my family always loved it!! They said it tastes better than in the restaurants!! This is my definitely my ultimate favorite Spaghetti Bolognese! ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks Marion! You have helped me so much with my #wifeyroles! Hahaha ❤️
I had somthing else planned for tonight Marion ... but now I HAVE to have this tonight, thanks for the that :-). Wishing you all the very best for the next couple of days and that all goes well !!!
I tried this recipe today, just added an extra dash of cayenne pepper, parsley flakes, and half a capsicum. I used fettuccini as I didn’t have spaghetti. Boy o boy! It turned out ridiculously AMAZING! My friends gobbled up their servings within minutes and my husband demanded that I make some more! Love it. Thanks Marion, I always enjoy trying your recipes. The food flavors hit like no other!
That white shirt/blouse is her signature chef hat/apron. I'm so impressed at how great she looks and the fact that she is working so close to her due date!

Just made this for dinner. My 3 year old daughter went back for 3rds!! Best Bolognese I’ve ever made, and the only one I’ll ever make from now on. Thanks Marion! 🙏🏼💕
Literally made this today and it was absolutely scrumptious and indulgent I just added a lil Chilli powder for my every South Indian palate but overall . So so good , I usually don't prefer spaghetti but thus recipe made me love it all over again.
MARION! I'm thai and I love my spaghetti sweet hehe. I made this yesterday but I mistakenly used beef consomme, and added veal as well. However everyone is obsessed thanks to you!!!!! Can't wait to see your baby boy, congratulations!
Made this dish tonight and my whole family loves it! You are an amazing cook! Thanks for sharing your recipe. Definitely look forward in making more of your recipe!
That is exactly how I make my bolognese and my aldente pasta. Mixed in to form a rich luxuriant and glossy result with mixed picorino cheese. Great job
Probably the best bolognese iv ever made 🙏😍 and iv cooked it 1000 times 😳 never as good as this 😋. Your changing my kitchen with your amazing recipe and sooooo easy to follow 🙏😍 and not to forget your big beautiful smile 😁😍🙏 thank you thank you
This is underway tonight, and the house smells heavenly! I used tomatoes from my garden, roasted and frozen, in place of the crushed toms. I love the hint of anise! One of those spices that I think I hate, but I am just not educated in how to use properly. Thank you for teaching me - very special touch! How's that young man. Welcome to the world, baby boy!
I've been making quite traditional bolognese for years and, though it's hard not to love something that starts from a tomato based ragu, it's something I've grown a bit tired of. In fact, I've cooked a lot of Italian in my time and, much as I love the cuisine, in recent times I've been massively more into cooking Asian, working from your recipes very frequently in the last year or so. Super excited about this one, as it's just the kind of new life this old classic needs to reignite my interest. I don't comment much, here or on Facebook, but I am a big fan and wishing you all the best for a smooth and successful delivery - congratulations to you both when the time comes. :) PS: can't get enough of Noi, either.
