I mean, if you were to somehow HOLD OFF the healing factor and let those cells integrate themselves into the normal person's cellular system or something like that, you could possibly do this without any issue. That is, of course, if the person has a similar enough DNA structure to the one with the healing factor because the cells might reject the transplanted part and, therefore the healing factor at worst, OR the cells from the body and the transplanted organ or whatever would take longer to get used to each other or connect together at best. But hey, THAT'S JUST A THEORY! *_A FILM THEORY!!!_* ...Aaand cut.

4:33 We wouldn’t have “enhanced senses” in regard to animals. Humans only have so many olfactory nerve receptors within our nostrils, far less than that of animals like dogs and cats. A healing factor wouldn’t give us more of these receptors, but rather just make the existing ones function in peak condition. We wouldn’t be able to “smell better or at the same level as” a dog for example, but rather: we would simply be able to smell as well as a human in peak physical condition would be able to. Deathstroke, Deadpool, Spider-Man, and Hulk don’t have advanced senses of smell due to their healing factors, and all of these characters have varying levels of said healing factors. Wolverine’s advanced senses are attributed to his mutation, not just his healing factor. In Daredevil’s case, his advanced sense of smell can be attributed toll due to both training and his loss of sight - a phenomenon that does exist in reality, and he doesn’t have a healing factor to my knowledge. 10:06 A similar case could be made here as well. Humans burn around 50 calories an hour whilst sleeping. So hypothetically speaking: if you aren’t performing any sort of physical activity whilst you’re awake - then you’d logically be able to get just as far as you were without a healing factor. Aside from the limb chopping example - which is also rather creative (if not painful) way to lose weight, I’d say an advanced metabolism paired with a healing factor would be a far more effective way to lose weight. Sure, you’d have to feed a lot more than a regular human, but it would still be a far easier way to maintain weight given you burn calories off faster due to you’re advanced bodily functions. 11:57 This one is assuming that a super powered individuals cells are compatible with regular humans, right? I would imagine that any sort of mutation that induced a healing factor wouldn’t be easy to mimic - given individuals have different standards for “normal” within their own bodies. A superpower induced vaccine while probably helpful to those who are suffering from a disease, may not be exactly acclimated to the conditions of a regular human body. Once you receive a superpower, you technically aren’t “all human” anymore - so would viral combat be the same inside you (the super-powered guy) as it would for joe-schmoe down at the local clinic?

No cause if you're constantly healing your synapses wouldn't wear out, and any damage from not washing your brain with chemicals when you sleep (look it up) would be repaired. And of you have healing to a very high degree (such as absolute regeneration (thanks for the explanation)) Than your processing power would be high enough to simultaneously take in, process, and memorize information at the same time.

About the "use the blood to make a cure" it could be dangerous. In the show Heroes there is a character that has a tumor, Claire who can regenerate say that she can give him her blood to heal him but here father told her that the tumor is a leaving tissue and her regenerative ability could potentially make it grow faster, however another regenerator gave his blood to someone to heal him from radiation burns and Claire's blood was used to resurrect someone from a bullet in the head. The brain is the organ that spends the most energy in the human body, needing a lot of food to function well. Whereas someone with super regeneration would have a great digestive efficiency to recover their cells, then the brain itself would have more resources to work with. Super regeneration = Super intelligence. Furthermore, if this regeneration also considers the body's temperature regulation, then you would have fast thinking. Why? Simple: Each synapse in your brain releases a small amount of heat. Too many synapses mean the brain would overheat, so we have a limit. But if your body is great at dissipating heat, then that limit is lowered, and you think faster.

So let's get to these five, those are 1) (effectively) Unlimited Stamina 2) Peak Learning/Memory to Savant Levels 3) Great Resistance to the Elements 4) Relative Time Dilation (through perceiving everything faster than normal) 5) Super Adaptation to go into more details 1) Effectively Unlimited Stamina: Your body would constantly be pumping you full of as much energy as you need to be in tip top shape and performance at all times,effectively making no longer ever tired, and always able to perform as if in a life or death scenario at every moment as fast as you can react, which for a peak human is around a third to a quarter of a second give or take. Now I say effectively unlimited stamina and not actually unlimited stamina, since provided there is a biological component to the healing factor (and it isn't just magical), then you will still need to intake enough calories to fuel this stamina, and running low on calories can still make you run low on energy, just unlike with a normal person, that would be the only factor for someone with a healing factor, how much they have eaten. 2) Peak Learning/Memory to Savant Levels: Since your brain has the healing factor too just like the rest of your body, this means that neurons can repair themselves if they break down or change over time. The exact science of what this would do to you is a bit unknown, but judging off what happened to those with brain injuries, where their brains were forcibly rewired and they gained certain incredible abilities (on top of downsides in other areas), then it's feasible that your mind could rewire itself to give you things like Perfect Memory recall without degradation, as well as being a skilled savant in effectively every field you wish to pursue learning in, and then retain all the information you ever learned from this perfectly, thus allowing you to have an incredibly diverse skillset if you wanted to, like being a walking google translate after learning every single languadge, or revolutionising science. 3) Bodies have problems with extreme heat and extreme cold because of how difficult it is for them to maintain a consistent internal temperature at those temperatures, but with a healing factor this wouldn't ever be a problem. You could go walking naked through the mountains, and never have to worry about frostbite, because your healing factor would constantly maintain your proper internal temperature, and thus you would never have to suffer from hypothermia. This would also be true for extreme heat too, your healing factor would constantly keep your body cool and at the right temperature, though dehydration may or may not still be a concern depending. 4) Relative Time Dilation: In Life or Death scenarios it has been shown that your body can receive incomming information at a much faster and more intense rate than a normal person can, to the point where they can perceive everything around them moving in slow motion. Now this is not actually dilating time, but rather it's you perceiving it at effectively a much higher frame rate, meaning you are able to perceive everything around you as moving in slow motion. 5) Super Adaptation: since your body can constantly heal itself from all injury and disease, you effectively can eat almost anything and it wouldn't kill you, provided your healing factor can heal you fast enough. Same goes for things like Radiation, Toxic Fallout, ect. Pretty much any and all materials that would be considered Poisonous, your body can heal and repair, effectively allowing you to adapt to pretty much any enviroment. Plus you would have extrely great lung capacity as well, allowing you to hold your breath for very long periods of time and walk through enviroments such as dust bowls, or swim through the ocean for extended periods of time without breathing. the longest I ever heard a human holding it for is 20 minutes personally, but I'm sure a peak human with a healing factor can hold it for longer than that. Edit) If the healing factor is indeed a magically powerful one that just goes on forever perpetually regardless of circumstance (or in some way ignores the conversation of energy/mass) then you would indeed truely have Unlimites Stamina/Energy that would go forever and ever like the energizer bunny, but the best part is you also wouldn't need to sleep, eat, drink, or even breathe if you had one of these, since all of those are just required maintnense to get your body the chemicals and nutrients it needs to survive each day, and are the types of things a powerful healing factor that didn't care about conversation of mass could just give you all the time. This would be similar to Superman's healing factor, which is fueled entirely by solar radiation, or Majin Buu's healing factor, which is fueled entirely by Magic. This means you would be able to survive in enviroments even a more mundane healing factor wouldn't let you, like swimming underwater indefinetly, or surviving the vacuum of space

One power that he also didn't touch on was the fact that a healing Factor would also mean that they would gain longevity / immortality. This is actually seen with Wolverine as he was born during colonial times and literally lived at the very least until the late 2000s. That's if you're going by the Logan movie. At that point, he had been alive for 300-plus years.

Actually, having a healing factor would mean that you would age sooner. Yes, you would survive fatal injuries like nothing, but whenever you have to heal, you end up burning your cells out. Cells can only replicate a certain amount of times before it ages and dies.

@Meta Man nonsense, enhanced immune system is part of the healing factor. Your immune system still did the work, just at an accelerated rate. It's not like some other system did it for you. Even if your powers stopped working, and you reverted to standard human capabilities it isn't as if you are starting with nothing anymore than a normal human is incapable of fighting of a disease.
@thewatcher5903
@thewatcher5903 3 года назад
This assumes your healing factor doesn't cause your body to function any better than our standard system just faster. It's typically assumed the healing factor always replicates cells perfectly and those cells never get any closer to senescence. As well as several other more complicated enhancements. Otherwise it would be less of a super healing power and more like you manipulate time to allow your body to heal at a normal rate while the rest of the world is at a near stand still. Although, I have to say that type of power would be a very interesting concept I'd love to see explored.

The Pyramid building through working workers to death explanation seems highly unfounded/made up. Pushing people to the limits may provide benefits in certain use cases but we are talking about multi year long building projects with many repeatable tasks. It seems not feasible to continuously cycle through your workforce as large portions of them get injured due too extremely intensive work. You would continuously need to find able bodied people and have to retrain them (a degree of group coordination is required even for simple tasks). Furthermore how much benefit can this hysterical strength/pushing people to the very limit really bring, even under extreme conditions human strength levels do not skyrocket to 5x or 10x times normal levels. Plus you would need to be able to consistently pull it off on a group of people. In all likelihood the Egyptians employed smart technical solutions which would be far more economical and reliable.

1) Super Strength: Most of the workers on the pyramids were people hired for the situation, not slaves. Also, even the slaves were treated decently. As far lifting the rocks, there were pulleys in place to help it happen. 2) Enhanced Senses: A healing factor returns you to your natural state; it doesn't usually improve the body. Also, Daredevil and Deathstroke's enhanced senses are due to other issues, not a healing factor. 3) Superspeed: While you would be able to maintain a speed for longer and push the limits somewhat, you would still be well below someone like Flash or Quicksilver. Heck, it's unlikely you would be above someone like Ussain Bolt. 4) Clones: Lobo is a bad example as his cells have ancestral memory and his regeneration is off the charts. For most of those with regeneration, however, you can't do clones: There's no way to get the extra mass (they lack a digestive system so no way to increase mass), the lack of memories means that the body would be just flopping around, and the lack of a lifetime of exercise would leave an inferior body). In short, this would be more problem than cool. Otherwise, great video!

Also he fan make temporary clones of himself by shooting his fingers and having them grow body's and can just have the bone grow from a soot were he's arm was severed so he can use the bone as a blade. I was making an argument against "the day you suddenly lose your abilities is the day you die!" The life changes due to the loss of that type of healing ability would vary greatly depending on how the power worked. (Not trying to debate one can't die from damage or sickness... NOR the laws of science. I already said I saw that point.) That said, using a fictional source to define the limits of a fictional ability, in Reality, is very... Limiting. Reality is always stranger than fiction. Taking Reality into question we only need to look at the Immortal Jellyfish for an extreme case of healing factor. Which can revert to a younger stage of its life when damaged(not outright killed), sickness, in times of starvation, even when their home is not to its liking. And they can do most of the things in this video. Or Axolotls which can regenerate lost limbs. And Dolphins can heal from some wounds without scaring.

I agree with most of these for sure with the exception of the organ donor part. It really comes down to exactly how a healing factor works and my assumption is simply that your cells know extremely well what your body should be like and can work on overdrive to make your body meet that state. In the sense of cutting off a body part to make a clone of yourself this would actually prevent you from being able to use your body parts to donate to others as that body part may be able to determine that the body its placed in isn't your body and may attempt to regenerate to what your body is supposed to be. Two outcomes could appear with one being that you basically grow a copy of yourself accidently and it bursting from the body of the person to recieve the organ, or depending on how the healing factor works it slowly converts this person into a clone of you, either way killing them. In the event where your body parts don't create clones however then congrats, you have an invulnerable stomach, but I dont that healing factor would spread to the rest of the body without further donations and at that point you're essentially doing the same thing as cloning yourself.
