This child is EXTRAORDINARY... She is interperting what she feels from the inside you can see it in her body movements, facial expressions. Wait until she's a young lady .. she will be stunning. This kid is going to listed among the all top 3 old famous violinist. Mark my words. Briana... you are stunning to be able to interpert the way you do, you and your violin are one! GOD BLESS you child !
Prodigy might be a label she doesn't need to be saddled with, but she's talented and clearly "gets it" with regard to the music. Keep playing! I imagine with humility and perseverance she will do great things.
I would consider her prodigy, not technically, but musically. She's definitely got something very special that many professional adults lack. It's like she is being led by music. She has a great ability to listen to the music, piano and herself which is something very amazing to do at this age. She will definitely master the technique soon. She is only 6 now.
Well, It depends on how long she's been playing. If this is her second month playing the violin, then she is most definitely a prodigy! If it is her 3rd year, then I'd agree with you.
OMG !! .. se ve. taaan linda.. Meee encanta su color de cabello.. se ve hermoza.. i con el piano se ve presiosa.. es increible como una menor puede complacer nuestros oidos.. me encanta.
Also, for those of you who think all prodigies are forced, go talk to a local elementary school teacher. They will tell you the samething, if you can turn learning into a game for a kid they will LOVE it and not realize they are learning. Many prodigies are the product of parents finding teachers who were able to make learning fun for them and enjoyable. Also kids who play the violin tend to meet lots of other kids who play too and do the same things other kids do just different group of people.
Anyways this is response to something "Alebarda" for some reason it doesnt show up, w/e. Anyways if you've never met a kid whos a prodigy don't go about saying you think they are forced. I've met several prodigies in my musical career and I've only met one who didn't like music at first but grew to love it more than anything. The most amazing of them was a 14 year old boy who could well..play absolutely anything and he learned from very young and was willing to learn.
Mozart wasn't forced to play. His skills prompted his father to take them his children on tour to play music. Many children learn music at a young age because to them its a game which makes its easier to learn. Most people dont have a kid and say im going to make a cash cow out of you little baby! HOLD THE FIDDLE. most kids go "mommy i want to learn violin!" then the parents deal with screaches and some parents get lucky and their kid really ends up learning the instrument.
It amazing that she can play such song. Not just because of difficulty, but because of maturity needed to understand how to convey the sound across. Not only that, but at her age children are only really beginning to understand tonal hierarchies. Awesome.
I love how she feels the music..I cannot wait until she is able to get a better quality instrament.. Also I cannot believe that she was able to play the little trills and vibrate a tad bit..was truly impressive
Wow, it's not even the song or how she plays, but the way she smiles and how her face moves during the song. You can tell she wasn't forced to play, but she absolutely loves it. She loves to play and I think that's more important than talent. But obviously she does have talent. xx
@clairenunavut As can be seen during her interview at Ellen DeGeneres's show it was actually her (Brianna) who "harassed" her parents to allow her to take some violin lessons after watching Karen Briggs.
I've listened to quite a number of child prodigies on you tube - this girl w only 6 when she played this peace and she is "up there" with the best. She should already have been famous. Someone - please market her even better than what you are doing!!!
Some children sit in front of the TV all day playing video games and collecting huge scores, fake coins, etc. Other children spend their time doing as this kid is doing. Hats off to the parents.
My point is that "prodigy" is not necessarily a good thing. It's a heavy weight to bear as a child and then a ghost that haunts the adult who "used to be" someone extra special.
