Sometimes when people have money they buy 4X4 monsters. They see professional drivers drive offroad and think they too can drive like them... What a shame...
It's an extremely low geared vehicle, so the commenter made the right call. It needs to be walked up the hill. Every year people do the same thing in snow, spin tires by hitting the throttle too hard in low gear and burn out their transmissions because they don't understand torque.
This iconic vehicle was matched with the worlds worst diesel motor ever produced. No power and crappy reliability. I was a military mechanic and spent more time trying to keep them off deadline than they spent doing their job in the field. Cummins power and Allison trans really allows this vehicle to shine. Tires on a HUMVEE lack the ability to clean due to a lack of wheel speed. No tire on earth clears them selves at 15-20 mph wheel speed. At $220,000 price tag and 6000 lbs naked. The US Military sure got bamboozled with 190 HP lmao. Chevy diesel power always sucked. They had to go to Isuzu for a diesel worth anything, Really? The B series cummins have been around sense the early 80s. Yes the same year the HUMVEE was born.
@@zairmalik2775 Having a light vehicle means less gravity working against you in the mud. My buddy has a 3500 diesel and I have a Jeep. I float over more crap in the mud using 2 wheel drive than his heavy ass can dream of doing in 4 wheel low. Heavy trucks dig down to the axle in soft mud, light trucks stay on top of the mud a bit better. I big truck has more power tho and can use huge tires to equalize tho. Just dollar for dollar a light truck will usually be better off road. You can make any heavy truck a beast but it will cost you a pretty penny
Malheureusement, toyota hilux n'est pas vendu au Canada. Le terrain canadien est un challange off-road ultime ... aimerais voir ce que Hilux peut faire ici
